My brother has cerebal palsy and its one of his favorite movies. When I was a kid, i thought the actual actor had CP because he reminded me so much of my brother.
Yes but in the context of the film Plainview is performing in the church too he's not really repentant he just went because the man whose land he wants told him to go and knew he had shot the guy pretending to be his brother so he figures okay I'll go to church if that will please the community and then the preachers sister Mary marries H.W. also.
No matter how many times you watch Daniel Day-Lewis’s films, he astonishes and amazes you every time. He’s perfect in every role. Love him. His last role in “Phantom Thread” is just the icing on the cake of a remarkable career. He’s given us a lot, but still I’ll miss him. Thank you, Daniel!
Best actor of my generation imo. Not only can pull of accents off so well and morph into a complete variety of convincing characters, his visual appearances are amazing. I've never seen an actor look so different visually in so many roles, sometimes it's hard to identify that it's Daniel Day Lewis. He completely evolves into a different character, he could of been the worlds best spy.
daniel day-lewis I disagree, I personally find that he over acts a lot and is too much like a stage actor and not enough like a movie actor. He often lacks any kind of subtlety/ This is not to say he is a bad actor, he is fantastic. But certainly not the best in my book

After watching ‘My Beautiful Launderette’ and ‘A Room With a View’ I then saw ‘My Left Foot’ and felt, already, he was the best actor ever. With every subsequent film, but especially’In the Name of the Father’, ‘Gangs of New York’, ‘There Will Be Blood’, and ‘Lincoln’, he’s just proved the point. There really can’t be any question about it. There’s no other actor comes close to his total inhabitation of such a variety of complex characters.

Adapt to the character you have been selected to portray, not like most hollywood actors and actresses these days that just look like themselves the wholetime in almost every movie with the same voice.
