Wow, just wow, what on earth is going On!? Rothenburg has a real treasure with ornaments stores around the whole town. Beautiful Christmas market and amazing decorations
You're absolutely right; the Christmas decorations mainly target foreign visitors with a lot of money. This store has plain glass ornaments in every color imaginable, all at very reasonable prices. You could also find shaped glass ornaments for a great deal! They offered traditional tree decorations and wooden candle holders. I remember buying little toadstools to attach to the tree branches. I even got a lovely glass clip-on lamp post! They had beautiful candle holders and candles for the Christmas tree. There were exquisitely decorated trees everywhere, and so much of it was affordable. Nowadays, there are too many unattractive, over-the-top baubles, and the prices for glass ornaments have skyrocketed. It’s truly disappointing. It might look appealing to those unfamiliar with the past, but it’s a mere shadow of what it once was. Hope you guys will do the best choice buying something there since most of all decors are just "made in" China/Taiwan/Bangladesh etc countries like these that basically don't worry about what to do and how to do without any sense of quality and creativity. This is correct. The museum itself is only in the end of this video. But first part is a Christmas shop which is also located in the same building in the 1st floor. Thank you for mentioning that!
