    I subscribed bc your Supra is a manual. I have a 2is350 (same body year as the ISF) and I am really hoping you get an ISF! If you could keep the Supra and get an ISF, that would be ideal, of course. I wish I got an ISF when they were around $35k USD but I do love my is350 lol.

      So you’ll unsubscribe if I throw an auto in it? 😉
      You’ll get there man keep hustling! Yeah that’s the goal. Damn, have they gone up?

      @@Avi.P I think YT deleted my last response lmao. An automatic swap would be grounds for Supra jail 😂. I actually haven't shopped ISF's in a long time bc I am dead set an a second manual. But looking at them, they are actually really cheap right now. Another $20k into it and you have a 700whp ISF which is insanity. Of course, it is a shame that the is350 and ISF didn't come in manual. Anyway. I'll look forward to more content!

      @@thehomelessproject3784 I think a genuine re amemiya rx7 would push the 34 GTR off its pedestal in regards to price… just so expensive!

    I wouldn't trade a Supra for any car on that list. An R34 would be the only thing to make me even consider a swap. But GTR prices are way out of the ballpark now.

    • @Avi.P
      @Avi.P  4 місяці тому +1

      Literally nothing? It’s crazy because GTR 34 are more common then a Turbo Supra in Australia, but even then 34 GTRs are way to overpriced imo

      @@Avi.P Indeed. Both rare pieces of JDM art.
      If I had a Supra I'd keep improving it and I'd never get tired of asking any expensive sports car driver at the lights "what's the retail on one of those". :)

      R34 in Japan goes for around 12-18k, prices dropped in Japan, then to import it to North America is around $2000 per car

    So, ahem, German cars and their unreliability and your frequent mention of the two. Yes, but...they're not that bad. Hear me out, you have to simply know the sounds of your car, so if something is up, yada yada. That point, right? It's valuable. Also, they like spark plugs (10k mi.), coil packs (15k), and often, walnut blasting the intake valves (50ish-k). Really high quality fluids - like, Mobil whatever is not good enough. LiquiMoly every 5k for a road car. Do that, and you'll have a fairly happy car. Oh right, last though, an OBDII tool that allows seeing and clearing engine codes - German cars complain about cold starts with little misfires sometimes, trips the Check Engine. Happens to me once/week actually, no bueno, but 80k on the clock, it runs like a top.
    Actual last point, I am American and so jealous of your choices in hatchbacks. I'd be wide-eyed at the possibilities. They always come in great colors, too.

      I don’t disagree with you, proper maintenance is key to a healthy survival of the vehicle, the thing is people tend to purchase these cars without doing any prior research into purchasing the car I.E maintenance costs, run costs and so forth, when the time does come for those to maintain there vehicle they tend to cheap out on maintenance or even stretch the service intervals to save cost, especially on high performance German vehicles.
      When this happens it tends trickles down onto the next owner (if this has been the case from new then my lord I feel sorry for the last owner) What you said is valid, the issues stem from fuels in Australia.
      So let’s talk fuel quality, here is Australia we quite possibly might have the WORST fuel quality in the world, our premium fuels are 98 RON which probably equates or lower to your (States) 87 RON, so that plays a MASSIVE role in the longevity of the engine, since you watch my videos and seem like a well informed individual, you would be well aware of detentions, since the all the manufacturers outside of Australia have better quality fuels, they are obviously tuned from the factory for that better octane rated fuels. So when they arrive into Australia people tend to shy away from the top “premium” fuels which tends to using cheap shitty fuels hence causing detentions, pinging and all sorts of havoc inside the combustion lessening the life of the engine, I don’t have a gripe with German vehicles, my dream car is a 991.2 Turbo S for gods sake lol, it’s what we get sold at the service stations is the problem that I have which has a flow on effect into the car.
      Thanks for attending my TedTalk.

      @@Avi.P Haha, a good Ted Talk.! That really stinks about having inconsistent fuel - I'm careful to not fill up on off-brands, but it sounds way tougher in the Down Under.
      Full disclosure, I'm running a 93 tune on my 2017 S3.
      Also, everything you said, and also that many used German cars conspicuously have about 60k miles on them. Just off lease...with all those dangers.

    • @Avi.P
      @Avi.P  4 місяці тому

      @@justingallagher4864 Correct, you have to be super vigilant with fuels. Here we also had another issue with our pump E85, where water ingress into the tanks underground thus having being sold contaminated E85…
      Nothing wrong with a S3s, fantastic cars to daily. Have to be very wary of the signs of a tired engine!
