Loved watching you guys during covid, and love this new regular format even more. The moody colouring of the video is very different, and editing and Brolls of the store makes for an engaging video. If I can also give feedback regarding the audio, it is clear , but having James come only through the right speaker and Remy on the left only speaker it doesn't sound quite right. Especially for people that listen on a home theatre setup. I think that the audio track needs to be replicated for both L+R audio channels for who ever is talking etc. But keep up the great work. 👍

Had to do an assignment on the Wonder Woman movie and series and thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven’t read much Wonder Woman so I might have to buy this month’s book club book. Love the videos guys!

After giving Die a go this month, dropped this one on the website’s reviews. The story tells a perverse jumanji-style abduction of adults, returned to a dark, low-fantasy role-playing world they were once stranded in as teens. Other than trying to find a way to return to their current lives, they also have to deal with decisions made as teens when last trapped in this world, and the trauma of revisiting the past and disappearing on their loved ones. The book ends with a great hook, so I'll be looking to pick up the next volume soon. The art & character design by Stephanie Hans is incredible, and this volume has made me want to pick up Kieron Gillen's new series Power Fantasy as well.
Hickman's done some good work in the past between the X-Krakoa era books, and his FF & Fantastic Four runs. I've done the first 6 issues of Ultimate Spider-Man thanks to the Comics Direct website, and i'm enjoying this new adventure, but do kind of hope Hickman spends some time soon, fleshing out the core four family members a little more. Like Peter's obviously gotten a bunch of focus, but this version of MJ is skating on us knowing what the main universe MJ is like and one of the kids is still almost a complete mystery, which is a little frustrating when this fam is meant to be the core grounding force of the book.
DIE is so good and gets even better when you have the baggage to get all the references Gillen adds to it. Not to mention that the art from Stephanie Hans is great! (And btw, if you are reading this, the same duo has an original graphic novel that you can pre-order on Comics Etc Direct right now (Aug/24) ;) )

looking forward to hearing about the tom king wonder woman, i am jumping on with the dc all in, but would like to know if it is worth going back to read the full run aswell

I don't think that you'll like the Ultimate Invasion trade comic! Its got really cool art and the story was decent enough! Definitely has some maps in it to show some of the global influence occurring in the 'New Ultimate' world but it can feel a bit draggy at points. Hope that you experience it differently/better than I did though!
Hi there, honest criticism: The dynamic between you two is really fun as you have very different personalities. Having you guys pick books for each other is a great idea and helps us get a view of all different kinds of books. However, if you keep changing the rules (i.e. ‘I already read this’ and ‘you have to give this book to me’) it ruins the whole charm of book club, and kinda makes you seem really annoying. I like the idea of having themes each month, like choosing recent books, but you just need to stick to the rules. I’m really enjoying the channel and I love hearing your guys’ opinions on these books 😊

Die is excellent! I have always thought it would make for an excellent miniseries, hopefully with the DND resurgence it becomes more of a possibility.
The budget would have to be very high to do it justice otherwise I hope they don’t do it…..
