We are so glad to be back, hope you enjoy this episode! We've used less music on the offroad scenes, let us know what you think - do you like this style of edit? Cheers & see you next week! Chris & Ange
Too much music can get annoying, us viewers get more of a feeling for being out there with you when the actual sounds are kept. I think you hit a good balance in this one.
FYI….you CAN lose traction when using compression braking. If it is VERY slippery, and the wheels start sliding…it can also stall the engine. Scary moments trying to start your engine while sliding down a hill with no traction, then having to hit the accelerator to get things moving. Glad I was going slow at the time. Love the content!
@20:15 Bowser looks great in the sunset light. As far as other favorite 4x4 UA-cam channels: Lifestyle Overland, as well as Expedition Overland. I've been watching you since you purchased Bowser. Love your channel, guys. Keep it up!
So we were sitting in Rawnsley Park Station JUST LAST WEEK, and I said to my family "I'm sure that's the mog from a channel I watch on youtube .... it just drove past!". Needless to say no one paid much interest. Then this video :-) Flinders Ranges is magnificent. Wilpena Pound is extraordinary. Make sure you do the Blinman-Parachilna Rd, and spend some time at the Blinman pub. Say hi to Clint who runs the pub - what a great guy. Also check out the copper mine tour at Blinman - it's expensive but really worthwhile. Have a great trip guys!
We do stand out quite a bit! We loved the hike there. We particularly enjoyed Parachilna and Brachina gorges, stunning area! Thank you for watching and have a great trip too Dave :)
Glad to see you back on the trail! Also enjoyed the off road footage without music, just listening to mog sounds. That thing is a beast! You should check out Sailing La Vagabond and Matt’s Off Road Recovery if you haven’t already
Hi Chris and Ange not only we like seeing your video adventures we also like Trip in a Van, The Explore Life these 2 are in Australia. We also love to see (not sure if your heard of Brent) Ghost Town Living, Brent brought Cerro Gordo a old mining ghost town. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures in your Mog we both love what you both have done with the mog. Cheers Robyne and Brian
Glad to see you guys back on the trail 👍. One of my favorite channels is Trail Mater channel. It’s filmed in Utah - Moab and surrounding areas. Rory Irish and his Trail Mater (Once a 1982 Chevy pickup truck) now is a recovery wrecker. Some great scenery, rock climbing and vehicle recoveries…
There is a couple of channels to watch - LR Time - is a great German couple that do everything themselves to service and maintain their Land Rover Discover 3 &4. Good sense of humour too! Cruising The Cut is a blog/vlog on the canals through the UK, eccentric guy with a funny sense of humour and full of interesting places and facts. His Vandemonium channel is good too.
Oh! I love the sound of this Unimog! I have a MB trac 1000 and the sound is exactly the same! Mine have the South African built 352 non turbo engine. There is so many similarities between the Unimog and MB trac.
Happy your back ! You can counter the tire wear by toeing your front tires out a half inch rather than in one half. This will cause the tire to wear evenly and you get more responsive turning in slow speed terrain . CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h.
Agree, less music for the off road scenes. Sometimes, less is more. Channels worth a look; Martijn Doolaard, RAN Sailing, Sampson Boat Co and for something totally relaxing to watch, Bonsai Releaf.
Hi Chris & Ange Mog looks great, filming is hard work Ange doing the hard yards. Set up is very cool good on you both for having a go enjoying this great Country. Long time viewer keep up the great adventures. Stay safe thanks very much
Hi guys ,I love the flinders,I was left there on a school camp I had to hitchhike home an fell in love with the flinders an went back many times afterwards I was and still so impressed with the place 🤓🤩all the colours of the sky in the afternoon is unbelievable I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere, one of life little adventures, glad to see yous on your way again I could spend months there hey ,some place are sacred and I think the flinders is one of them, the 1970 where different an I was14 brave as an started me travelling Bundaberg was next trip ha,ha and now live in Hervey Bay but don’t no where we will end up so many wonder full places in oz anyhow enjoy guys cheers - cold at night hey🇦🇺🇫🇷🚛🦘🤪💨✌️☮️
Agreeing with so many comments. Yeah, Australia is absolutely gorgeous! And yeah, getting off-road comes with damage lol. Something that many of us are familiar with.
you honestly don't need to worry about the window crack right at the moment unless it leaks water. I'm from Colorado which is very dry, but can get cold. we call those scratches along the body and windows racing stripes.. each scratch has a story, those are important :). If your rig was mine that is how I would treat it unless the scratches lead to rust, then you definitely nee to fix if required. just thoughts :)
Great to see you back and in one of my favourite parts of Australia 😊 . As the video began I saying where’s your window covers 😂. Hopefully it all works out in the end. You guys just keep delivering on the videography , loved the drone shots this time, the Flinders have so much to offer that style and you nailed your scenes and the components within them. Loved the subtle ring clip 😊😉👍
We learnt the hard way, we were definitely a bit rusty after our European break! Thank you for taking the time to write a comment George, we really appreciate your nice feedback :)
Fantastic episode as usual, love the sound of Bowser when she is working. SV Delos, Blackmail Studio, Out of the Woods and Nathan King Overland are a couple of good channels n for some rev head things Hoonigan is always good. Maybe the homestead didn't realise how high you were. Love the workshop videos too Looking forward to the next episode
Do you guys realize you have a giant billboard space on the rear of your vehicle!... 🧐🤔 You could advertise your website/UA-cam channel with a giant QR code sticker. Traffic behind and overtaking can scan the code with mobile phones and you can/will reach out to more potential subscribers. Love you guys, Love your content and sharing of your experiences and adventures.
Oh you Aussies, THIS is the reason I would move over there - entire country is overlander's heaven. Unimogs, landcruisers, hiluxes all that barely any rust! Meanwhile in middle of europe, you dare to put your wheel on a pavement, and copper jumps out of the bush and gives u a ticket.
Window shattered sounded a way more serious then actual damage. First, as it is acrylic it might be fixable with quick glue which is supposed to be acrylic based. Second, not sure if someone make a camper windows out of Lexan, but might be worth to check as that "acrylic"-like material is used to make water bottles which are almost unbreakable as it is similar to plexiglass/perspex but is far more durable (and so probably costly).
I love the UA-cam channel Camper Vibe. It is a British female couple and they are so funny together. If you remove the shocks it will be easier to move the axles. My 1965 unimog has the same design. I saw you didn't win the defense force contest 😭 But still awesome to see the top5 are only Unimogs 🤩 We have such a great community! 🥰
Great Vid guys! Honestly if you are set on kids, it’s worth thinking a bit more about it, partner and I are similar ages and hit our point to kick things off and finding it’s much harder than we thought and starting to investigate assistance. It might happen quickly otherwise but you never know.

Thanks for another great vid....it's been many years since I've been to the Flinders Ranges but hopefully get back there soon..amazing place and scenery.. besides quite a few Aussie 4wd channels I also watch "Lite Brite" from USA..some fantastic 4wding , highly modified jeeps and just plain nice people..started watching them about the same time you left Sydney in your jeep..also congrats on engagement..like the hose clamp ring idea 😂..
Try @dirt sunrise Pair of American's, did the Pan American in a pop-top 80, now in Europe in a 80 with a little habitation box and doing Asia/Africa you may meet them somewhere in the world. Little channel 12k subs but great adventuring.
3 comments and only 74 likes 👍 I think we can do better for you guys! Some of that footage was just amazing and I didn’t realise the gliders had terrain like that. The canvas over the windows sounds good for stopping scratches but could you not use the same track system and maybe some tin that slides down in them? Maybe not as storable at the canvas but would be tougher against punctures from limbs? Great content as always
UA-cam hasn't been really nice to us since our break unfortunately! So we really appreciate your comment, thanks for taking the time :) we have used the canvas cover since then and they have been great, we should have definitely used them on that track! Thanks for watching Andrew :)
Favourite channel mate is a funny couple in Australia mate going round Australia in a biege unimog ,there great , Chris and ange bowser are there names 👍
@@TheOutFit the places you guys go are amazing, the activities you do along the way (maybe add more camera footage of diving while fishing). It has been a longtime dream of mine to go to Australia, although I have not made it yet, so I'm living vicariously through the two of you, lol. Just seeing you two living the explorers dream gives me hope to do the same before im too old.ever since i found your channel I have been tring to figure out how to build a mini-mog out of my ford f350 truck to live out my dreams on a small scale in america. I have had the opertunity to travel the world while I was in the US Air Force for 20 years and some other jobs I had. I thought I got that out of my system but I still have the travel bug. Im in Arizona right now so I can relate to the outback videos a bit. Lol
Great episode thankyou for your filming efforts and drone footage, fantastic. The Explore Life and Outback Cowboy up there with my most watched you tube followed by Space to Ground. Currently building a LandCruiser with a box on the back smaller than yours, tried to cover the build @ 2021 LC79 Build but still a work in progress. Keep up the good work.
A good channel is “Peter and Yen” a couple of Kiwis that do a travel and food vlog. They’re just in Turkey at the moment and it their first international travel since covid. They’ve been doing a lot of travel around NZ for a couple of years and it’s good to see some of our own backyard NZ truely is Godzone
Hi guys, just watching your latest clip...sorry Chris no from me for the Moe, not a beard or Moe fan...love watching your clips & by the way congratulations on your engagement 🎉💍
Great content and you both have an easy listening delivery style. I know you have a lot of viewers to satisfy, but for myself I'm never going to own a Unimog here in the States so repair and technical details of the Mog are kinda 'meh' for me. However, I am very, very interested in your treks into Australia's interior and outback. It's mesmerizing how the population of an entire continent can live withing 200km of the coast and the interior of an entire continent be almost empty. Please continue with the map overlays and letting us know where you are on the continent so we can follow along on Google maps.
I think the height of the camping unit on the Mog would be a problem in Tassie, which gives me concerns about getting one here myself. I think external metal shutters on windows would be helpful. Tassie 4wd tracks can be quite narrow with overarching foliage at times. I've wondered if there's a camper unit that can be lowered mechanically to the same height as the cab? Hope you can make it to Tassie one day 🇦🇺
A few Unimog owners have built pop-up campers. We decided against it as it was adding some complexity for our layout & the construction and not as good insulation for overseas travel. You can't tick off all the boxes unfortunately.
Watching your content of our beautiful Aus. For some other great youtube check out Itchyboots , Norale is currently riding from South America to Alaska on a Honda CRF300L Rally. Also check the wheeling from Mats Off Road and Paul from Fabrats, the boys from Bleeping Jeep and Dirt Lifestyle. All great footage and some serious off road USA style.
Do you have problems leveling the Mog when camping ? What do you do ? Thanks and we enjoy your vids..... especially the drone shots during the adventure. What a view ! Best of luck.
Beautiful country thought I would pass a comment on last week’s video to do with going to other countries some of which you mentioned could be a little dangerous and you want to have a child you might consider going to places with low risk after having a child you could find yourself slightly more vulnerable my opinion of course.
Awesome footage as per usual. Did you end up finishing making those protective shields for your windows, so they don’t get scratched? Ps: Ha, just kept watching the vid and just got to the part about the window shield 🤘😆
Hey guys - check out for “Itchy Boots”. Once startet to watch Noralys adventures you won’t be able to stop following her around the world! Keep on running 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
We are so glad to be back, hope you enjoy this episode!
We've used less music on the offroad scenes, let us know what you think - do you like this style of edit?
Cheers & see you next week!
Chris & Ange
I prefer this option with less music and when the music is there, it seemed quieter than other videos as well. A definite keep for me.
Too much music can get annoying, us viewers get more of a feeling for being out there with you when the actual sounds are kept. I think you hit a good balance in this one.
Listening to the mog IS music! Sounds awesome
Nailed it
Fantastic

Nice channel to watch is family everywhere 🙂
Hi, Itchy Boots, best international channel.
Squeaky balls... Said with a straight face. 🤣🇦🇺
How nice is it out there, we are going over that way in a month. Looks epic.
We have spent 2 weeks in total in the area, we loved it! Have a great trip and thank you for watching Zoe :)

Are the widows made out of Polycarbonate/Lexan ? and how thick ? Like the music👍
Thank you for the recommendation Victor!
We have actually won the challenge after votes have been reviewed :)

Bad Obsession Motorsport & the build of Project Binky, Stoltman Brothers, Barum Garage, Project Brupeg, Cutting Edge Engineering.
Shame about the window .but good idea to change all for the tinted ones. And congrats on the mod challenge
You could solve you window drama by getting them made from polycarbonate, we use it in the prison for the windows for the cells, you can smash it with a sledge hammer and it won't crack. Then you could PPF over it to stop it scratching. expensive but it will last forever

Ps:
Ha, just kept watching the vid and just got to the part about the window shield 🤘😆
Did you win the fuel from last week?
We did! We are so happy! Thank you to everyone who has voted :)
Question ? Where are u going to put the third seat,/baby seat.???☺
There is room between our seats but we will need new seat bases! An engineer friend will design them for us :)
I was just saying to Trish that you forgot to put the covers on the windows,
