I just come from playing the EVIL WITHIN. I know is the same creator, but don't ever compare this janky crap with RE4 ever again, not even put them in the same sentence.

The whole point of the comparison was because of the fact that RE4 (remake) is very similar to The Evil Within. They even had Shinji Mikami work on the remake which is why so many things in it are compariable, and that he worked on the original RE4. Quit the glazing and meat-eating on RE4R cuz it wouldn’t have some of it’s elements without the Evil Within and its “janky crap.”

Evil Without is intended to feel jank because he is a detective not a Stars Operative. Also if you you find making of videos, this is more what he wanted RE4 to be, but he didn't have that freedom working for a big corporation. RE4 is also action horror while this is survival horror.

Re4R is equally as jank, especially on higher difficulties
