Kudos to those kids! They really took care of their toys and kept them in the original boxes. And to the parents who kept them for all these years. This was really fun to watch.
to just give them away though? those needed to be passed down. but the family looks overwhelmed.
It's tough to deal on prices when the sellers are selling memories, not just things. I totally get it! I think I'd have to hire someone to do that for me.
You have to be the most polite, most humble, most likable, reseller on any site online

@@andrewszymanoski4262 it’s a yard sale, that family is overwhelmed trying to get rid of stuff. They don’t have time to wait around for top dollar. It all fell onto their lap. I’m about to go thru this myself. And He paid up for some of those items.
He was having a hard time paying what she was asking, And I don’t know why because just two or three things would or nearly would pay for everything,That doll house and all the furniture that he got for nearly nothing will sell for a good bit,He knew what he was doing and he knew he was going to make a killing off of all this
He’s a reasonably nice guy but you definitely didn’t watch the video from last year where he was fighting over the video games

The fact that you and the seller shared your stories was important. I know a lot more went into that sale than what we saw in the video. Kudos to you!

I didn't have castle greyskull. I had a Navarone. And to see that box again flashed me back to Christmas 80something. My mom junked the box, I never needed it...I played with it always. When playing always required imagination. Thank you

I'm watching this video with all these awesome things and wonder how is there nobody else at this sale? Down here you are never alone at a sale regardless of how early you get there.
There were a lot of other sales going on that day. People do start to come while I'm there. But, I was surprised how slow it was as it can usually get chaotic when toys are involved.
Very nice toys I remember so many of them as I'm almost 75 and my kids had a lot of them too 🎉🎉
Great vintage finds! My heart went out to the lady 🙁. I remember it taking us a year before we were ready to let go of our childhood memories. You were understanding and empathetic.

So sorry you lost your Dad. The memories you made to together will last a lifetime. My parents both passed about 15 years ago … within a few mo. Apart. We never quit missing them.

I remember all those games and Toys! I had a Baby go byebye with the car and she also had a tricycle that she could actually pedal. I loved that thing.

Fun haul! You always seem to find so many great sales in your area. I'm from Southern California, and I find that most of the sales around here are not as organized and far more costly. I still find some cool items from time to time though. 🤗
I am very close to Dayton in Cincinnati, and I show up to sales a 1/2 hour early, catch the people setting up and they already sold what I went there for. They say someone knocked on their door at 7 am, got a bunch of game stuff or all the records, and I send messages and stuff to start doing what I guess almost everyone is doing apparently. Some yard sale people was saying they had people knocking on their door 2 days before sale was even scheduled. I guess I will never find anything if people are knocking doors when the ad goes up. Nevertheless great finds again. BTW I know Holden that you see at sales a lot up there. He is an excellent picker, He knows his stuff.
Some great toy finds, and the folks who sold them to you are my favorite kind of sellers; they know the value of a dollar, but are willing to leave you enough meat on the bone in a purchase to make some profit. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Hats off to you for your patience. I would have been jumping up and down. But I totally understand the lady. She was selling memories, not toys. I have a van on the drive that I am supposed to be selling but my Dad gave it to me...........I feel as if Iwould be losing part of him, again. It's so difficult to explain. Well done you for your instinctive kindness.
What a haul! I imagine a parent saying, "Put that away, dear, before you open another toy." How else is it possible to have so many 50+ year old toys in original boxes? LOL @ *OURS. Prayers sent for the loss of your father. May He Rest In Peace.🙏🙏🙏
Nice haul but that was kind of painful to watch. She was all over the place and didn’t seem like she was ready to sell. But you do a great job being patient and it certainly pays off!

I had a doll house just like that. When you took the lid off the box of furniture for the house and I saw it, it made me happy and sad! I was happy because mine gave me so much joy but sad because I don't have it anymore! Good buy on all those games and toys!!!

Games can be strange I look up newer and older, usually disappointed but sometimes happily surprised since they're normally priced at $1 or less, worth the game even to part out. Missed Jess picking!

Yup, we had most of them, plus Life, Monop., Trouble, Headache, etch a sketch, spirograph, Haunted House, Trains, AFX, life was good. And we were poor as dirt. and of course, we had outside, which they stopped selling decades ago.
I have that same doll house. I would have been concerned that someone was shopping my pile outside.

wow! great finds but man..i dont know how to keep a composure with people who are all over the place and disorganised and picking thgrough things but its not out for sale and taking to you abouyt them and back and fourth..hopfully the interaction wasnt as long as it felt for me and the stress i felt waiting for people picking and thinking and all that. all in all great stuff!

My condolences on the passing of your father. Most are never ready when a parent passes, but IMO even worse when they're as young as only being in their 60's. My dad passed in 2014 at only 69 yrs old (looked & lived like he was only in 40s), followed by a bunch of paper work as you said which is very hard to deal with. It was sad to see this woman who seemed to be a little overwhelmed with cleaning out her parents house while I'm sure being hit with a lot of old memories, and you were very kind to her so I'm sure she was glad you showed up to help them out. Your vintage toy haul is AWESOME! When she asked if you'd be interested in Fisher Price toys I immediately blurted out at the screen "Heck yeah!!!" LOL Already assuming they'd be from the 1960s-70's which I LOVE finding at yard sales. And then when they pulled out that huge military toy box... WOW!!! I think I would have had trouble containing my excitement over so much amazing stuff! Pretty sure I'd be keeping that adorable baby doll in her car on my shelf if I found her. :) You did great!!! A lot of fun to watch.

I had that doll house….1 of my favs! My younger brother had one of those ambulances, but it was one of those that revved up when you spun, the wheels backwards. My sister was holding him in her lap and he had revved it up then let it loose in her hair. She had long curly hair, and my mom had to cut the ambulance out of her hair. It was hilarious! 🤪🤣😜

Man - had the Navarone set as a kid. Great haul. Not sure I would have passed up on the box of free remotes. but I would have been dazed by the toy haul.
A lot of work to sort through that stuff, and some big boxes......which always makes shipping even more fun. Good thing you have help now.
We offer it on most things and bake the average cost of shipping into the price. Sometimes, we may lose a dollar here or there and sometimes we gain doing it that way. I do feel it increases out sales volume.
When it comes to matching up the little people to the playsets, my Mom was awesome about counting toy pieces, checking puzzles, she would have been great matching those toys, the pics on the boxes will help a lot, but now all you have to do is Google the info. Maybe you have someone who would like to do that? I lost her 12 yrs ago, every week she would iron my scrub tops, my husbands, too. She would say my time isn't worth anything when I'd offer to pay her. People that grew up during the Depression have/had such a work ethic. I do wonder if you get any upset sellers when you give them your card, then they watch your videos... you've done the work, and will do more work to make that money, and all the other expenses, but I'm sure all they understand is you gave them $5 and now you're selling it for $100! Thanks for sharing and giving me a garage sale fix!
Thanks for watching Nancy! It can be hard sometimes to convey the amount of work and time that goes into flipping a lot like this. I think most people are just content to move on with the stuff they sell at garage sales though.
It for sure pays to show up well before they open. Where I live they show up the evening before and ring the door bell, it's getting fierce out there!
Yeah, I'm not big on doing the doorbell thing, so sometime I'll miss out over it.

I would never have that kind of money to spend at one time. But i know when a person is just starting to resell it takes time to build up.. So cool to find so many vintage toys ,i am curious what would be your profit ..
I'm not 100% sure what the end profit on that lot will end up being.

we had all those fisher price toys...but how/why they kept the boxes baffles me. crazy find. Ive seen those barbie campers complete in box go for over $100. they plastic tent and the unfolding dash tended to rip easy.

I think its important to add the following after saying you are going to resell their family treasures "They will go to a home where someone will be so excited to have them and will be taken care of" ....That was hard to watch there I gotta say. I appreciate the hustle but you gotta have a little more heart in a situation like that...right? Your a good person you probably were swept away by the amount of cool vintage..

I think she was doing a great job dealing with it all especially since they were bringing him stuff they hadn’t even brought out yet.
