I learned to sew on a pedal sewing machine. Eventually my Dad added a motor and converted it to electric. I believe it was the only sewing machine my mother ever had. She died in 1990. She was an avid quilter and a dear lady. Miss her. Your videos always take me down memory lane. Thanks.
The large implement with huge tines that looks like a comb is for cutting angel food cake! Love that green Noritake set and the red punch bowl set - what a find!!!! I do enjoy browsing the aisles that you film 😊whether you buy something or not - sometimes I say, oh, go back to the left, you missed something I want to see!!! I can no longer walk long distances, so love to go virtual shopping for antiques and vintage with you! Thanks for taking us along!🙋
I seem to recall some of the guys with afros in high school occasionally having those stuck into their "do". (Yes, I know there were ones made of plastic that were specifically for afros, but I know I saw a few of these that had been repurposed, too!) I'll bet their grannies were PISSED that they made off with her angelfood cake cutter! Scott, you completely cracked me up when you were rhapsodizing over your wonderful finds, then suddenly whipped out a boiled egg and ate it. Don't know if it was the accompanying facial expressions or what, but that just cracked me completely up!😅😅😅 That iced tea looked SO good! 😊
I'll be watching for that pink bread bowl to come up! I can decorate with it at Easter, I can see it with some of my little hand made cross stitch eggs that I'm sewing on right now piled in it...pretty!
Wow, Scott, you ain't just whistling Dixie! This was one of your best shopping trips ever. If you keep this up, you are going to need a bigger truck, like a slightly used Mayflower moving van! The green mixing bowl set may have been the best buy, but everything that you found was just great. Congratulations!
Scott this videos format is perfect! A little of everything. Looking forward to Jeffrey we can only hope he behaves himself😏! Daisy and plume by Dugan on your candy dishes. Northwood did a few in this pattern but I'm not seeing that dish. In my mind Dugan is just Northwood same molds same factory same glass makers. Only Northwood is older and I love Northwood😍
Woot! What a terrific shop along. I even lifted myself out of my chair to look in the ruby red punch bowl for the under plate, LOL. I'm sure it's all your fantastic karma from the annual choir festival in Ocean Grove. 2(!) Leaf and Diamonds 1908 by Jefferson Glass :)
Great finds! Kevin and I really enjoy the way you film your shopping. We learn a lot , because you explain as you go. We don’t enjoy the choppy editing of other shop along videos
If I lived in the Thrift Land of Plenty like you do I would have to be a reseller as there is so much good stuff. I couldn't keep all that I would find.
Greatest items!! ;) The Antiques gods shined down upon you!! ;) love the bowls, I am a bowl girl-have many sets-lol the both sets are great! That love seat, love the wood!
I wish this was the "Jetsons" age so I could jet to where you shop and score some of that great stuff you find. I see it at actions locally but it's too pricey. When I see those wood tables with big legs it reminds me of the one my grandparents had. Lots of memories made at that table. That pillow for Tammy was sweet of you. It's the little things that are the most special because they come from the heart.
Now that's what I call fabulous thrifting!!..and yes I do love it when you take time to look at other things on the shelves,..Thourly enjoyed the video Scott ❤
A combination of camera on an office great and especially enjoy when you highlight special items and educate us even if you don’t purchase them that day. Always learning.
I like looking at everything as you walk down the aisles. It's helpful when you see something that is a knock-off, not good quality or something newish or even just junk and then give your opinion on it. I see the same stuff when I go thrifting. I can look at it with a more discerning eye after watching your videos.
Incredible shop along video!!🎉I of course loved absolutely everything.😊The amount of inventory in your thrift stores is 10 times more than what we have in the Philadelphia suburbs. I cannot wait to see your bookcase. Hope you’re having an excellent weekend. Happy Thrifting.🎉

Triple Wowie, Scott just watching your video, made me so happy and excited for You 👏❤️👏. We all remember when Martha Stewart shared her secret of loving Jadeite, and landed on the cover of her magazine, and the Thrifting World was turned side down! I hope GW doesn’t raise their prices of Depression Glass. My fingers & toes are crossed that this classification will fly under the radar. Congratulations again, sending you a virtual Wawa hoagie with all the trimmings and a pile of napkins, enjoy 🍹🥖, your Karma certainly deserves it! Have a great weekend 😎

Oh my goodness what an amazing successful shopping spree. I love a mixture of showing the aisles and then sometimes just focusing in on what items you find.
All those GREEN GOODIES!!! Oh my goodness. Green is my jam. I LOVE the 4 bowls. There's not a lot of antique pieces in my local thrift stores, so when I do see some, I'm snatching them. I can't believe all the pretties you found. What a great thrifting day you had.
When you’re out thrifting and not finding much, remember that blue ribbon days like this can also happen. Wish I could find a bookcase like yours. The settee was also lovely.
Oh Scott, I think you are adorable! I just think it’s so fun to see the beautiful finds that you love so much!! They always touch my soul as well! I enjoyed your video today and I’m so glad you shared with us!! 🎶✨🥰

I still love depression glass. I use my pink collection for holidays with my Old County Roses china. It’s beautiful together. And makes your buffet table look stunning. I loved the old wood sewing machine base. I love oak.

I’m so happy you bought the cabinet from 1918 or so. It was beautiful. In Houston, Texas we have NoThiNg like you all have in your area. It’s tempting to just pack up and move there so some fun can be had shopping for great deals! If something does come up, that’s similar to what you have, it’s priced so high. It’s pointless to buy it. Thank you for such a fun video!❤
I do enjoy footage of you wandering up an aisle looking at everything, it gives a sense of being there, and makes me appreciate all the stuff you have to sort through to find the goodies, as you did today. What is a cake breaker?
@@texmex124 Angel food cake has a different texture that just squishes down when you try to cut with a regular knife, the cake breaker starts the cut so it doesn't squish .
Using a cake breaker makes for a neater serving of cornbread baked as a loaf.
I've heard them called a cake comb or a cake rake but didn't know how they were used
