Thank you for showing us your workspace, somehow it makes me feel more "normal"😁 My eldest called me a dragon yesterday, when I went through my scraps, which as she said is a step up from hoarder. I say, if it bring me joy, why should I get rid of it. I'll be a dragon, strong, wise and fierce on top of precious mound of cloth😂
Thank you for so generously sharing your work space with us. As you moved the camera from one piece to another I kept peering closer and closer. ‘Oh, I love that!” And, “Look at that piece!” ‘The colors!” I loved seeing the log cabin in progress; to see the stitched areas in contrast to the “before” areas. Quite alive. Thank you, thank you. xo Oh and Stella and Fredfred ♥♥
Too funny about the satellite dish from “he who must be obeyed”. 😂. Maybe you could paint it all pretty like a big flower! lol. 😂 I only have a small lot and there is a huge dish in the back (we don’t use) but it’s so ugly I keep thinking I might paint it into a huge sunflower 😂
How lovely of you to share your beautiful space with us! I’ve been enjoying your videos tremendously… can’t thank you enough for sharing your work and your home with us! I absolutely love the way you set up your studio, and now we can picture you sitting there when you’re making your videos. ❤️❤️❤️
What a lovely studio you have, thanks for showing us around! I love your wall hangings: the log cabin (? I don’t know that term yet) and the portrait collages, absolutely wonderful! So weird how you can feel ‘at home’ with someone on youtube but i do😀🍀💖
Thanks for sharing your space....a lovely place to stitch and dream and ponder! I have a similar cat/dog experience here...2 cats and a doodle puppy. I am in the process of reorganizing my supplies, moving everything to my dining area because that is where I sit to stitch and I have found myself going back and forth, hither and thither, looking for things. I want it all within reach and easy access! Living alone with animals means I can do exactly what I want. If I want the dining room to be a art studio then that's what it will be!
PS because I also stitch downstairs and outside in summer, I have what I call an 'up and down basket ' to put stuff in that goes upstairs and down... Trouble is, often I am up and the basket is down, or vice versa 😂❤
Just love nosying round your studio…….? Your creativity and calm response to the unfinished or work in progress encourages me to calmly accept my own collections and numerous half worked items as the norm and not condemn myself for this natural tendency.!! Beautiful object’s thankyou.
❤Well…..that was fun! It’s always a treat to see where we all work. Organizing is key! … and you’ve got that mastered🎉 I’m constantly redoing and changing things around. It’s a good way to find things that have been covered or stashed deeper than we like. 😅 Thanks for the tour.
Thank you so much for showing your lovely place to work! I fell in love with that amazing chest of drawers! So beautiful! You have awesome art pieces on the wall. I particularly loved the one you called “cabin logs” or “logs something…”, sorry, I don’t remember the name, but that is such a fabulous work. It’s so texturized and it looks so tactile, I am amazed at that! I noticed a round tin you have. It’s the one with the couple on the lid. My great grandmother (I met two of my great grandmothers) used to offer me those tins filled with chocolate. Unfortunately I didn’t keep any, for various reasons. You know I loved to have met Stella! She’s so cute! And I see she has a lot of fun with Fred Fred! They’re both adorable 🥰 💙❤️🩷💚🩵🧡💜🤍💛🤎
hi Alexandra, it's log cabin, I am sure there will be a video at one point. The round tin is Quality Street, many people in England have them at Christmas, or at least, we always did. Sadly these days they are in plastic. I think this old metal tin was my granny's but I am not sure. Fredfred and Stella send their love ❤️❤️❤️
So excited to see your lovely work space/ slice of heaven. Thank you for sharing……..you’ve been inspiring me to stitch again. Your generous spirit, along with your teaching skills, soothing voice, and beautiful projects, soothe my soul. Bless you K3n.
What a hoot seeing those two fur babies playing with each other. Your special space is lovely and very inviting. I laughed out loud when you said the one who must be obeyed. I have one of those as well. Lol
That was great fun. You have a lovely space to create in. I like the nails tapping on the floor and seeing your fur babies. Though I'm without fur kids now, I'm very familiar with that sound, lol. Thank you for sharing.
Kathryn that was so neat and inspiring to see your studio space. thank you so much for making this tour video for us. i loved seeing all of you journals and your other projects. such lovely, rich, beautiful work. i was peering intently at my screen trying not to miss anything. thank you so much! linda from california
What a warm and cozy room. I can imagine the peaceful time spent in that room, even with the wonky view. With that view, I think I’d even be able to block out the view of that satellite dish.
I love your studio! Especially the stone wall with all the books. Such good organization of your various scraps and stacks in baskets. I enjoyed the tour and thank you for the entertaining wrestling match at the end. 🐈 🐩 it’s good to put furry faces with the floor sounds in your videos!
I just love that I did not miss out on your Studio Tour! Thanks so much for letting us all come into your wonderful creating space. Love all your art work, finished and unfinished too. And I loved that you said hello at the beginning, so we could "see" you. Your space is wonderful, and we all loved seeing the fur baby's.
Kathryn that was absolutely delightful. I smiled all the way through. I know this may seem strange but I also loved seeing you at the beginning of the video, even if it was only for 5 secs. We always see your picture, but it was lovely to see you for real. It would be nice if you did that more often. I loved seeing how you store your materials. I was one of those who asked. And I am starting to sort mine in a similar way. I don’t have a room as big as yours, but I don’t have as much material either haha. I hope all our comments don’t become so time consuming for you that you don’t have time to do more videos. We really do hang off every one of them.
Thank you Joyce, I love reading your comments but I will prioritise the videos if it comes down to it. 😂 Maybe I will do more little pieces to camera, I am not a shy person by any means but it is somehow different to just my voice and hands on the internet. I think I just have to get used to it 😊❤
I guess it is hard to register that you have developed a ‘cult’ following. You started out thinking it would be nice to show some people what it is that you do and how to do it, and suddenly thousands of people respond to your offering. Goes to show what the world needs now and what you are doing is adding to the healing of many people.

What a charming studio, very organised, it’s lovely to see where you make your videos. Like you I love grunge colours, especially liked your log cabin piece, so yummy. Our family has always used the word orts, brilliant to hear someone else using it 🤣 thanks once again for all your tips been sewing for years but have learnt such a lot from your teaching 😊
What a beautiful space to do what you love to do! Love how you have organized your fabrics in size. I do that with my paper scraps but never though of it with my fabrics. Thank you for sharing your room with us. It is so inspiring!!! ❤❤❤
@@rosywilson3076 I used to do that when I worked by colour groups but now for me, it makes more sense by size. Like I said, it depends how you work. 😁❤️❤️❤️
@@k3n.clothtales today a friend gave me a bag of scraps 😀😀 I spent a happy hour sorting them and storing them in plastic bags until I’ve made a rice bag for each colour!
Your room is so warm and inviting, thank you for sharing. The log cabin quilt hanging above the machine is gorgeous. Why didn't I ever think of quilting in sections instead sitting in front of a giant hoop.🤪
Kathryn, you have created a lovely piece of heaven there and I do appreciate your sharing it with us. No matter what our space, we can always make a special nest, despite the higher-ups throwing in a wrench - the "sculpture" in your window only amplifies that magnificent view.
Oh Kathryn - it's Heaven! What a peaceful retreat that reflects your life and your amazing work. I love how you have set it up so that you can easily see what you have made and are still making. I defy anyone to walk in there and not be inspired. Everything is useful and beautiful (my man Morris again!). Thank you for sharing - and for showing us Stella and Fred Fred 😀 Mary x
I just discovered your channel yesterday. How delightful! And then to wake up at 5:30 am on the East coast USA to find a tour of your den of creativity! Thank you! Edit: in my workspace I have a 45 year old Quality Street tin from my school days in England!
Thank you for sharing your space. It was lovely to see. And I loved seeing Fredfred and Stella having a tussle at the end. My lovely Golden Retriever is always asleep in my sewing room as I carry on, too.
I feel very privileged to have had a tour of your craft room Kathryn, thank you. I now have a space but it needs reorganised to make it safe for me to work in as it is not yet wheelchair friendly. I have been feeling overwhelmed but now feel inspired. I know I need a sense of order and neatness or I will feel my nerves jangling and get no benefit from the room at all. Love the little friends wrestling..... Barney our springer will of course share my room... William, my brother has nicknamed him Elastoplast... I'm sure you can guess why! Vera
Oh my old cat (before Fredfred) was called Barney. 😊 I hope you get your room sorted and accessible soon Vera, so it can be a relaxing and creative space for you. ❤❤❤
It always intrigues me to see how people learn then move past "standard" creations as they find, their own styles and techniques. Your studio is a living museum.
What a fabulous workspace. You are very lucky to have such a gorgeous space. Thank you for showing us round , I enjoyed sharing your space 😘 love the grounds too..xx
You are (literally) the first person who has uttered the words "Junk Journal" since I moved her 24 years ago! I have spoken to so many people about them, but I am usually greeted with a blank look. Lovely studio by the way!
What a beautiful studio. I have an attic but at the moment here near West Yorkshire it is far too cold to sit up there so I keep bringing bits down to work on. I love your log cabin it's very exciting. Your little dog looks like my old Bedlington Terrier Bella she lived for 18 years. I now have a 13 year old lurcher Maisie. Both rescue dogs. 😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, I love Bedlingtons, what a great age, and lurchers are lovely, so loyal and loving. A good friend of mine had one also called Maisie, a little white shaggy one, and she was the gentlest most loving dog ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your studio space with us. Seeing some of your previous work must help inspire the creation of new work. I’m loving your videos.
Beautiful studio! Thanks for the tour! That log cabin quilt!! Oh my heavens! It is going to be a masterpiece with all your beautiful stitching on it! I would Love to see how you join the squares! I've never understood this particular process. Thank you ever so much for your constant flow of inspiration! 💜💜💜
Thank you for the lovely tour of your studio! It’s very nice to see the cozy place where you work and play. I loved seeing your kitty and doggie playing too.☺️
What a wonderful tour of your creative space.I love to see how others work and store their materials, so this was fascinating.Love the patchwork door curtain, your shelf, the breakfast bar idea. All your beautiful work displayed and your storage system. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Hi Kathryn, thank for share your creative space with us. There is so much productivity and beautiful art/crafting displays which I throughly enjoyed looking at. To me my craft room is my special space and so I very much appreciate you sharing your room with us strangers. If I may, when did you start sewing, quilting and displaying your art? And I would love to hear how you got into teaching quilting etc ( I know you were a librarian by what you have said ) but love to hear how your creative spirit emerged. However totally up to you if you’re ok with sharing. I will not be offended if you prefer not to. You do you! Love that saying and am using it a lot lately 😂😂
My pleasure to share, people have received my videos so kindly I thought it would be nice to give some context beyond the little bit of my desk and my hands. 😁 I might one day do a little bio piece to camera if people might find it interesting. And you carry on doing you.. 😉❤️❤️❤️
I think many would find that very interesting, including me. 😊 Isn’t it funny that many of us didn’t know who you were a few months ago but now we want to found out more. Connecting with like minded people is important and I think especially if you don’t have people close to you who don’t get the whole creating with cloth, making journals etc. even though they love you. Cheers Catherine ❤
A beautiful room, so full of gorgeousness, inspiration and memories. I hope you'll show us your unfinished log cabin when it's completed, it looks facinating. I love the muted colours. A very enjoyable tour, thank you. 💕
Thank you, Katheryn, for sharing your studio. It is so calming and inspiring. Please, keep working on your lap blanket on your chair. To undo all that beautiful work is too sad. What fun to see your animals play! Thank you, I love it!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful studio space. I love an organized space to work in. You have a calm and peaceful place to be inspired and creative! Just lovely.
Thank you for sharing your lovely workspace and explaining how you organize it. I think, for some of us, the organizing of things, or rather the chaos of things, is what can paralyze our creativity. Enjoy your day. Catherine
What a lovely studio. I am green with envy. Thankyou for allowing us into your space and sharing. I am enjoying your tutorials and looking forward to what you are going to show in the future
😂 it's in my son's room, through that closed door now he's away at Uni most of the time. Partly why I don't iron if I can help it, no heat on in there and it's freezing 🥶❤
Oh wow you know Goon Hilly in Cornwall. We holidayed at the landmark trust hamlet near Duck Pool. Such a beautiful place. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
Your studio tour was so interesting. Everything you do is so much different from the projects I attempt to make, and that’s what I enjoy - seeing how others work.
It was lovely having a peek into your workroom and seeing all the beautiful quilts on the wall. I think my favourite one is the log cabin one that you are currently working on. What a lovely, airy space you have. I noticed your clamp thing on the table for the camera. I'll have to have a look for one.
What a gorgeous place to work, full of cloth magic! Thank you so much for sharing your special place with us, it’s so beautiful and inspiring.

Thank you for showing us around your lovely workspace 😊
The kind of room that would be fun to poke thru and see all the goodies hidden away. I love it!!
Thank you so much for sharing. Your studio is wonderful! And your pets are cute. :)
Love the secretary desk also...nice workshop💜🇺🇸
Thank you so much for sharing your studio space with us. Seeing some of your previous work must help inspire the creation of new work. I’m loving your videos.

I've never understood this particular process. Thank you ever so much for your constant flow of inspiration! 💜💜💜
My pleasure and thank you. I will try to show the joining, though it will probably be done by machine 😁❤️
Thank you for the lovely tour of your studio!
It’s very nice to see the cozy place where you work and play.

SO very inspirational! ...and TIDY!! Thank you for sharing it with us!
That overlap quilt is already so lovely, I hope you finish it. I love your work. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you 😊
A beautiful room, so full of gorgeousness, inspiration and memories. I hope you'll show us your unfinished log cabin when it's completed, it looks facinating. I love the muted colours. A very enjoyable tour, thank you. 💕
Thank you, I will do 😊
Never seen a dog and a cat play like that, love it❤. Great place you have got
Me neither! they can get quite boisterous with it, it's usually the cat who gets too rough and the dog squeaks and runs away 😊
Thank you very much for showing us your studio. It is beautiful. ❤️🇨🇦
Thank you, Katheryn, for sharing your studio. It is so calming and inspiring. Please, keep working on your lap blanket on your chair. To undo all that beautiful work is too sad. What fun to see your animals play! Thank you, I love it!
My pleasure, maybe I will, at least I will leave it out where I can see it for now 😉❤️
Thank you for sharing your beautiful studio space. I love an organized space to work in. You have a calm and peaceful place to be inspired and creative! Just lovely.
Lovely. Thanks for showing us around. 💖✨
What a lovely tour. Thank you!!
Thank you SO much for sharing. You are so delightful to see and hear. Your space is just as delightful as you are.
Thank you for sharing your lovely workspace and explaining how you organize it. I think, for some of us, the organizing of things, or rather the chaos of things, is what can paralyze our creativity. Enjoy your day. Catherine
I think you are right, I personally can't work if it's not organised, others might find it clinical, each to their own 😉❤️
Thank you for generously sharing your space with us. I loved seeing your work and how you store your items. 😊
My pleasure thank you for visiting ☺️
Thank you for sharing your personal space with us. It is such a peaceful space, warm and welcoming. I loved watching the furry babies. Blessings 😊
Thank you they are hilarious. 😂 They will also sleep together often so they do really love each other ❤
What a lovely studio. I am green with envy. Thankyou for allowing us into your space and sharing. I am enjoying your tutorials and looking forward to what you are going to show in the future
Thank you for this, I really enjoyed it. You should definitely finish your raw edged log cabin quilt - and show us progress along the way!
A few have commented that so I guess I have to now or you will all be on my case 😂😂😂❤
@@k3n.clothtalesoh yes, please do!
What a fabulous space. Tfs
Lovely workspace. Thank you! ( ... did I miss where you keep the iron and ironing surface?! 😉)
Yes it's lovely there, well maybe not Goon Hilly but the rest of it 😊
Your studio tour was so interesting.
Hi Marion, I was wondering if you would see that. I got it on Amazon France but expect you can get one in the UK. ❤
❤ Thanks for sharing ❤ beautiful fabric ❤
Oh My, That was a wonderful tour. Thank you for sharing.
I love this. What a beautiful room with lovely pieces of art. Thank you
