- It's Alive with Brad Leone is back for episode 82 and this time he's making fermented peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. This nut butter uses both peanuts and pecans that ya roast in the oven first. But be advised: don't go walking Hank the dog while they're in the oven, because they'll go from nice, fragrant and beautiful to scorched real fast. The jelly is a raspberry, blackberry and blueberry mix that you ferment until they're good and rotten (in a safe way).

(My life is a continuous blooper reel (my teenage daughter used to sit and look while I cooked
(not my forte) to see what I would mess up or "juggle" with), so I find this soothing to watch.)

Brad should start his own channel where he does literally anything, with Matt editing. I'd watch Brad watch paint dry over most content creators these days.
i think that bread has a bigger following then he thinks, most of the new "its Alive" videos i see comments like this i would be surprised if everyone followed him to his own channel if he would make one

@@james_gamingmd I feel like ots because the OG show relied alot on Brad interacting with all the peeps in the test kitchen as well as cooking. It brought alot of comedy and new ideas, now we don't get that part.

@@james_gamingmd It's because the old video editor/camera man is no longer with BA (Matt Hunziker). His edits and humor had a significant impact on how much we enjoyed "It's Alive".
This new editor doesn't have the same timing, humor, or skill, so this replication is falling flat.
I just kept waiting for Delaney’s “woooooo” when Brad was opening the oven and the music played.
Few episodes of It's Alive have chosen chaos as strongly as this one.

Between Brad's personality and the masterful editing, this episode makes me feel like I'm playing in the kitchen with a friend.. and we're not allowed to see friends right now in Ontario.. so this was nice.
The best PB&J strat is peanut butter on both sides with jam in between. It makes a nice barrier in case you store the sandwich for a while like in a kids lunch, the jam won’t soak through the bread.

You need a masticating juicer for the perfect nut butter, and probably some oil. Keeping the mixture warm also helps.

Who would watch this? Well, me and half a million other Brad Leone fans. It's all about the personality. If you're a guy, have you ever watched Nigella Lawson cook - I could not really quote 1 dish that she has made, and have never ever made anything that she has cooked - but I really like watching and listening to her!

You shouldn’t put any liquids into the nuts before they are a warm silky paste cause then it won’t turn into an emulsion and the blades pass without cutting them finer 😞

I had Covid (I'm okay now) and in my exhaustion and confusion, forgot how to make a pb&j sandwich. Cause you normally spread one on each slice. Well I spread peanut butter on both slices and realized I meant to put jelly on it so I just put some on top of the peanut butter. Gotta say, it's crazy but you get double peanut butter so the jelly sweetness isn't overpowering. So now I still make em that way.
