There's this thing my girlfriend's grandfather said once that really stuck with me and is something I try to remember daily: "If you wake up and think 'I'm sad, I'm sick, everything is bad', than that's how it's gonna be! I wake up every day and think: 'I'm good, healthy and lucky that I can work and be happy.'"
This exactly! I didn’t say it quite right in that portion of the video but this is something I’ve been trying to consciously do for a while and it’s helped a ton. It’s easy to stay in that dark negative place but actively deciding to go against it can yield some really positive benefits. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent tips! I’ve been paying a lot of attention to developing a solid morning routine. Some things I’ve tried have been good and other ones not so much. Thus far, I’ve incorporated gratitude journaling, reading a philosophical or spiritual text for 15 minutes (which has included a wide range of things), and walking-often listening to a podcast or audiobook.
Great video. I am a night owl too. I usually have a one hour drive to work. I get up at the same time but and so I get my commute time back. Whoever said you can’t get another hour in the day and they are really starting to add up to a big difference.
I’m definitely a full-blown morning person these days, but I used to joke that it was easier staying up until 6am rather than waking up at 6 most days. Love having the extra time in the mornings though!
Thank you for your video. I`ve been feeling down for some time now, but today is my first day back to office and hopefully it'll help me feel this 'back-to-normal' vibe. Again. thank you for your videos. Stay safe ^^
What's the best part of your morning?
Definitely waking up to my puppy for sure
Making coffee. That's my mindful moment as well and it really improve my day
I open the kitchen window, through on some lo-fi beats, and then make my coffee. Pour Over Meditation 👌🏼
Coffee & 1 chapter of the Bible daily. Thanks Josh, great content.
