My dad was a Vietnam vet who received 3 purple hearts and a silver star. Also nominated for the medal of honor. He told me that when he first returned to America after his 2 years in the war, he had food and garbage thrown at him. There were only 2 times in my life that he talked about the actual war. Our family dealt with his pain my whole childhood. I still admired him and wanted to be a marine. He did everything he could to protect me from that life. He convinced me not to join. He said a real man protects his family at all cost, then protects his property or country from invasion, but there's no reason to fight a rich man's problem.
Many blessings to you and your father's service. I met a US Army Ranger from Southern CA who had similar experience to your dad upon returning to SF and his brother in Berkeley.
The Children Of War segment must be a mandatory viewing in all schools!!!

so many of us brought the war back home
Back in the late 70s and early 80 I felt that way when my stepdad went to Iran He served there a whole year. My heart just broke half. It was so depressing, especially Iran and Iraq were at war
I personally and likewise believe that the families are true representations of what it means to be a true soldier and defines a soldier in all circumstances.
So dad is ruined by ptsd and son decides to follow in his footsteps, makes sense.
That's what happens when you go to war you see things you do things are even wicked and it burns your heart and your mind that's why war is evil and wicked selfish greeting people other words rich people or Kingdom!!!!

Nvidia's chips are so sophisticated, they're like Star Trek's Data - times billions. Imagine a fleet of computers, all talking to each other, who have read every word written by mankind, listened to all music, analyzed every medical or research paper - and understand it all. This will allow lab experiments without using animals, to run millions of medical experiments, science experiments, every second. The biggest challenge is envisioning what's possible. Handled right, this is the future. Handled badly, or by people with evil intent, it will end us. For all intents and purposes, these machines are CONSCIOUS.
