What is Podback? We see what Podback offers and how coffee pod recycling works!
Podback aim to be a one size fits all coffee pod recycling service. They enable you to recycle many different brands of coffee pods all in the same bag. Big brands that are currently signed up to Podback include Nespresso - Vertuo capsules and Original Pods - Tassimo, Dolce Gusto, L'or, Illy, Aldi, Little's and many other brands!
Podback is a free service and they are a not for profit company and not only do they recycle the aluminium or plastic pods but they also recycle the coffee grounds.
Kerbside collection is available in some areas but you can also drop your coffee pods off at any yodel drop off point if you have a physical or digital label.
Also featured in this video is the Nespresso recycle bin which is compatible with pod back bags. The bags can also be ordered for free via Nesprssso when you are placing an order.

As a postie, the bit that causes the most issues, is people not using the extra seal when sending them in! Pods falling out of the bag and the smell of old coffee 😞 Wish people would rea the very clear instructions!

My local authority supports podback, I just put the bag on top of my recycling bin and the dustbin people take it.

Doesn’t Royal Mail also pick these up from your house? I have two full bags I need taking away.

Hi 👋 Yes if you’re arranging your recycling via Nespresso then there are extra options in the UK like Royal Mail pick up and drop off. You can also take them to Nespresso boutiques if you have one nearby 👍🏼 Thanks
