Wish we lived closer - I'd totally get some breeding rabbits from you!
Hello I am french. They are magnificent your 2 breeds. I make Burgundy fauves and goat rabbits, a very rare breed. Goodbye !
So wish we could get the creme d'argents in Australia, absolutely love their colour!
10:25 😍😍😍😍🐇🐇🐇 so happy bunny
I love rabbits too!
I’m in FtW, Tx & would love to find a breeder near by for Crème de’Argents…. I agree, they are beautiful!
I wanna see a tricolor silver fox!!! I’m sure someone will figure it out one day. That’s when I would get silver fox lol. I’m really into tricolors so I raise mini Rex. Love your channel girl! Also for the kw cages can i get custom dimensions?
New subscriber. I just got 5 beautiful Cremes and so excited to start breeding them. Love your channel!! - Tracey
They are beautiful!
When the COD is approved for blue I have stock ready!
I been watching them on your peg just had to have them there so lovey.
We live in a small city and can't have chickens or any "livestock", but rabbits fall under the pet definition, so I've been toying with the idea of rabbits. Silver foxes are definitely at the top of my list!
Did you get any?!
@@Beepbopboop19 Not yet. Other priorities at the moment, but it's still on my to do list.
He’s huge! OMG beautiful
those are both stunning breeds...
i only worry that they are so prettty i would not be able to eat them!
I would like to get a nice breeding Trio of either breed from you and have you teach me how to breed for improvement
This was so informative! Way to make us fall in love with both breeds!
Thank you! Now I'm wondering if I want to get Silver Fox instead of New Zealands when I start rabbits. :D
I am getting a silver fox buck and doe soon and I am so very excited!!! I would have never known without seeing your videos!
the bun buns look like they would be sooooo soft!!!
I loved this video!!! I currently have a mini rex doe due next Tuesday. It is her first litter, so I am very excited about that. I used to raise silver foxes but slowly drifted away after I got mini rexes and Californians. Thank you so much for making this video!!
She actually just gave birth today! I'm about to go count them! She for sure has 6!
How are the babies?
@@BlessedWithPets They are doing great! She had 7 beautiful babies!
Wish I can get a pair of your rabbit ma'am. I'm from the Phillipines.
Great video!
Loved the video! Really like the silver foxes, but i personally raise Red New Zealands and Standard Rex Rabbits!
Love the cremes! Thanks for the info 🙂
Great info! Thank u
I like this video, meabe more this type video? 🐇🤔
Thanks again for the wonderful videos.
You make me want both breeds!!! ❤
They are so cute you're right!
Good Ol homegrown Hoosier here! From Dearborn County. I now live in Ky, but visit Indiana b/c my family live there still. I am new to rabbitry. I am starting out with New Zealands now, but I would love to add Cream De Argents and Sliver foxes to my program. Not to cross breed. My daughter in turning 12 soon and she wants a job that brings her money and so I thought getting her into show rabbits, and selling the kits would help her make decent money while she is still too young to work outside the home. I think getting her into rabbit shows will definitely make her feel like she is accomplishing a lot. I don't know if any moms of teen daughters dealt with their child just having a strong drive to do something to make real money with a real job. I think rabbits will be a good fit. She doesn't need a whole pack of 12. I think 1 buck and 2 does is a great start. just me rambling.
Did she end up getting rabbits?! My daughter is so similar😆 I was just planning on meat rabbits but this is a great idea as well.
You’re the BEST🤩
Very rarely I am able to sit through long videos on youtube, but I watched this start to finish! I love your rabbit videos! Great video! 🥰🥰
Thank you so much! 😊
@@TealStoneHomestead Happy Easter 🐰🐣💕
Yes I love your videos!! I’m learning so many things I didn’t know about rabbits!! I’ve had only 4 so far and I want to know everything I can before I get another one! And when we move out of the city I want to breed angoras!
I was thinking of picking up another trio, we might consider cremes!
They are beautifull
HI! Love your videos! Can you do a video on how you chose your breeding stock please? I am trying to get into Silver Fox.
Awwww yeeeeeee
I want meat rabbits that are different colors. But, MAN, that's a big rabbit.
SOLD! I have enjoyed watching your videos and trust and value your opinion. Recently decided to add a different breed to my rabbitry and was considering the Champagne D'Argent when I discovered the Creme. Like you I found the need to properly propagate a rare and endangered breed to add another altruistic plus to my rabbitry. So I was thrilled when I saw that the Creme D'Argent is one of your favorites. Now just where to find my initial breeding stock, any reccomendations?
I love my silver fox. I wish there were creme d'argent near me. I don't know any breeders in my area. I really have no desire to show but I would go to one to learn to develop a good eye for quality for what to keep in my rabbitry. I study photos and really try to keep the best. I use mine for friend, fur tanning, fertilizer and meat. We also have satin and rex. I have gotten all my stock from show breeders because I wanted to start with quaility.
I'm doing california with new Zealand but the creams would be nice e but I haven't seen any in my area
I was looking into the silver fox but now I think we may want cremes
We subbed and found you looking for rabbit tattooing help.. We raise Silver Fox also, we tend to focus more on the blue, chocolates and lilacs than the blacks.. Agree whole heartedly about their great qualities.. We'll be watching ..
We are currently raising Palomino rabbits and they are a big breed too
I like the Creme d'Argent breed. I hope I get to come to the nationals!
I hope you can as well! 😊
Wonderfully informative video Thank you for all the information. We just purchased from a reputable breeder two registered Silver foxes 1 chocolate male and 1 black female They are only 5-6 months old so we have a ways to go before we breed. I do have one question How much do your females weigh before you breed her, or do you depend on age ? Thank you again for all the wonderful information Your male rabbit is SO sweet. A lot to learn !
My 12 or old daughter got her first Silver fox (black buck) at a swap in VA in fall 2021 not knowing anything about the breed. We went to a show and met some SF breeders. And you are exactly right. They were so awesome. They talked to my daughter, showed her what to look for in the breed, how to pose. They treated her like family. Any time we have questions we know we can ask. My daughter now has that black buck, a black doe, a blue doe and a chocolate buck. We have been to a few shows in VA, MD & PA with them and now we are hopefully expecting our first 2 litters. We love the SF breed and the SF community in your area. ❤️
That is so wonderful!! So glad you guys got such a good start! 😊
Aw loved seeing sprig! As well as Conifer. Since you cull so hard with your cremes do you ever have babies you sell that are of good show quality / breeding stock for those of us out there who also would like to improve the breed.
I do occasionally! I’m hoping to have some at nationals 😊
love your videos.
question how do you lift the rabbits out of the cages ? I have silver fox rabbits and they are pretty heavy lol I just don't want to hurt them when trying to get them out of the cages
wow! It is so weird...I also raise SF and C a'D, f. I do not show but I do raise for meat and the Creme especially, but for both breeds I LOVE the growth rate! The personality is fantastic and they make fantastic bone broth! I just started watching your channel... :)
They are wonderful ❤️
Not planning to show so was thinking of breeding Champagne buck to SF. (Can’t find any Argent doe’s around NE Tennessee without inbreeding closer than preferred). What do you folks think?
@@wandamannsmith8469 I think you will have some very sturdy beautiful stock. :)
How do the silver fox and the creme d'Argentes do in the south? Central West Texas more specific.
I wish i could have one of your pet rabbit 🤗
I'd be interested in a breeding pair of Creme D' Argents Possibly this year if you sell. I'm in Ohio and raise Satin Angora, New Zealand and my daughter does Jersey Woolies. I'd love to help support and show them. They're beautiful.
Hi Tiffany! Wondering if you have any knowledge about satins/mini satins or maybe have a connection who does. I haven’t had any luck really with finding more info on this breed at all, but I have a few and am hoping to expand on them.
❤
Thanks for sharing! I really want rabbits but the more I look into them the more I’m thinking it’s just not going to be possible where I live. I’m in central Texas and I think that even if I could build them some sort of shade cover it would still just get too hot for them during the summer.
Shade, airflow, and fresh water are two of the main things you would need to focus on. I think you could do it 😊
@@TealStoneHomestead thanks!
Where is the best place to try to find breeding stock for the creams?
Where are you located I would love to get some of your beautiful rabbits
Hi. How do silver fox’s do in the heat. ( I’m in SW Missouri)
Hi! I discovered your channel very recently due to my family becoming interested in breeding rabbits for meat and I absolutely love your content! However, I do have a question, I live in New Zealand where I've been finding it very difficult to find multiple breeders for the different rabbit breeds I've been looking into as I'd like to get different lines so I won't have to much inbreeding. I've looked into Standard Rexs and Satins so far, I've also considered Dutchs but their a smaller breed unfortunately despite being very common. The only breeds I've really seen in my region are mini lops, flemish giants, dutchs and netherland dwarfs, which I would love to breed but as I am still living with my parents they won't allow as they want meat rabbits specifically. I was wondering if you had any advice for me, should I do crossbreeding perhaps between a meat breed and a breed that I might like to show and sell as pets or is there something else I could do. From my understanding, the U.S.A obviously has a whole lot more variety considering its a much larger country so you have more access to other breeding lines etc etc then I do.
I am in the process of trying to locate silver foxes in Kentucky. So far I haven't located one within driving range. Do you have a website that can assist?
Sprig being inappropriate!!😂
He’s gross!! 🤣

Hi
What state are you from and how much do the silver foxes go for? Can you ship?
have you ever crossed the two breeds? if so how is the temperament and meat turn out ?
I would love to get into rabbits within the next couple years, even just for me and hides from my own personal use, and these breeds sound perfect. The only problem is that I live in New Mexico and not sure how they would handle the heat. ☹️
I'm sure you figured it out, but for others who question this, they dont handle temperatures above 80 degrees f very well. 90 degrees can be dangerous for them. You have to provide a place for them to escape the heat.
Tif when I was getting back into rabbits, I was undecided between Silver Fox and American Blue. I came across the American Blue first, so I went with them. What are your thoughts on the American Blues?
I don’t have a lot of experience with American blues so I can’t really say! They are beautiful though 😊
Can you recommend any breeders near me? I live in Lake Worth, FL.
What is the best way for me to get into showing? I've never shown and I breed californians with very strong pedigrees (champion lines). I did a lot of research trying to find quality californians in an area that doesn't have them and don't want that to go to waste sitting on the farm.
I wouldn't mind working with cremes.
Where can i get some creme d Argent rabbits im in Texas
I would like to reach out to you about switching my rabbitry to Crème D argents. I’m currently raising NZ whites.
Have you ever crossed the two breeds?
How did they turn out ?
I LOVE your videos so much! I have learned so, so much about breeding and having kits with my doe's! I do have a question. Have you been able to see kits moving in a doe's belly at all? I've seen them in my Mini Lop Doe for the past 4 days...if you have seen them moving, what day was the doe on? I don't know what day she is on as it was an accidental/planned breeding... the "doe" she was bonded with was a buck 😂 we needed one so it worked out fine and I got a few more doe's for breeding. I love your channel so much, thank you for everything you do!!
Yes sometimes you can see kits kick. A soft “rolling” on the stomach in typically GI movement, but a quick kick is usually kits bouncing around. I would suggest keeping a nest box in with your doe if you don’t know when she is due 😊
Any guesses on how far she is if there are kits moving?
@@LillisLopsRabbitry I wouldn’t be able to tell unfortunately.
Do suggest any breeders online?
I understand Creme d' Argents are endangered. Are they hard to find and what do they normally go for in cost?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Do u sale them?
N what price for?
🐇: )
Just getting in to rabbits and looking for a place to get Creme d'argent rabbits, because of what you have shared. Along with what will help improve the breed. Do you have any suggestion of breeders? I am in Michigan but I am willing to drive out of state in order to find a good breeder.
Hi Marie, I would join the Creme d’Argent Federation! It’s a national club and you should be able to connect with several breeders there. There’s also a couple Facebook groups that may help you connect with breeders.
@@TealStoneHomestead thank you for your suggestions. I’m so excited!
Actually, do you have any videos where you explain what's to be looked for when you breed / cull? I know you talked about shoulders and hips, depth and grow rate but do you have a video where it's all together? I'm trying to start breeding rabbits for Homestead and if you're going to do it might as well improve a breed show a video like that will end up on my saved list
I don’t, but it’s been on my list for a loooong while. I will get to it soon hopefully 😊
Wow awesome I look forward to it!!! It will be my Bunny Bible 💖 I trust your judgment and want top notch buns like yours 🥰
is there anyway to bring a doe in heat? I'm new to rabbit breeding.
Domestic rabbits are "self ovulating" meaning they generally are able to breed any time. If you keep them indoors or you're wanting to breed in winter, it can help to provide supplemental light.
Sprig says “When you gotta go, you gotta go!” And he is male … 😂
Sprig is gross but we love him 🤣
