Wow! Every time I have a question or need to do something with the rabbits, you pop up with a video answering my question. Awesome 😎
I’m happy it could help you! 😊
I was just wondering today about clipping our rabbits nails…thank you so much
Side note for clipping the nails on any animal with claw-like nails (rabbits, dogs, cats, birds, rodents, etc.) styptic powder is awesome to have on hand when clipping nails but as Tiff stated in the video cornstarch will work in a pinch... you literally just take a pinch of either powder in your fingers and push it against the injured/quicked nail
Thank you for sharing this video. It’s really helped when clipping my dogs nails because she also has the darker nails and pushing the fur back with the clipper makes it easier to see.
i am literally crying at the cuteness of the baby bun buns!!!! awwww. she is so cute. why do baby bun buns look so cuddly? man i wish my little dog was so well behaved when getting his nails done.
Thanks tiffany! I just found out i have missed this video!
You have no idea how excited I got when I saw the drone footage😅😅
I’m very much enjoying the new toy 😆
Thanks for all the great tips!
That is helpful. I think this is one of the best videos how to trim rabbit's nail. Dark nails are truly difficult to trim, I once accidentally cut the quick 😭.
Yes, it’s inevitable that I cut several quicks when I go through the whole rabbitry cutting nails. Some veins are tricky!
Today is clipping day on my farm;
I loved you showed how to tell where the quick is. And I Loved the air shots of your homestead!!
Great work ❤I love to watch your videos
Great video! The tip around pushing the fur down with the clippers is genius!!! I even worked at a vet’s office and never got that tip!!
It works really well 😊
Yes! so thankful for the tip!
Great video on nail trimming!
We had our very first litter of Black Silver Foxes come this morning and we are so excited. Thank you for sharing so much information about them.
Congratulations! 😊
Thank you! Really enjoying your rabbit videos. Love seeing how gentle your rabbits are. I'm taming some inherited breeders as my entry into rabbits, but am encouragedto see how gentle they can be when raised correctly. Also, love that you did 4-H! Our girls did 4-H from Cloverbuds through high school. Wish we had added rabbits back then! Blessings!
4-H is a great program, I loved doing it!! Feels like just yesterday 😊 good luck with your rabbits!
Good video. 🐇✂ very clear nail cutting video. the best I've seen 😋

The aerial shots were really cool!
Another great video!
👍👍👍
I've always been scared to clip their nails. I got a rescue bunny that had curled and super long. It took me 2 years to get his nails to where they didn't look uncomfortable. His quick grew out so long
Some quicks definitely grow longer than usual! You almost have to “train them” to be shorter by more frequent clipping.
@@TealStoneHomestead I know. It took me 2 years to get his nails to the point they weren't a total mess. When I got him his nails were 2 inches long and wrapped around each other. Poor guy I'm not sure how he could walk. I don't think he'd ever had his nails clipped. Ever. My friends dad begged me for him. Now he's living his best life as a bunny who is the most spoiled and loved. I loved him dearly but had 10 others to care for. Now he's an only child of a lonely older man. He takes him everywhere he goes. Lol. I still get to see him.

How do you get them to stay so calm ? My silverfox rabbits freek out when you pick them up
Hi I just had a baby rabbits (6) and the mother didn't build a nest and I wobed the babies into a cord bored and other stuff to keep them warm since it's raining and it's cold at the same time I moved them to a safety place I'm really worried if she gunna feed them or not ?
Thank you for the video. I have a question: what is “a star” or “no star” ?
It’s just a thing that can happen with silvering breeds like silver fox and creme d’Argent. Some people say it can be genetic, but it’s just really iffy. A star that doesn’t molt out into adulthood is not breed standard and undesired, so it’s just something to watch for.
I've only seen wild rabbits with a star. how does it affect pet rabbits?
the star is that line on the forehead :)
I need to cut my rabbits toenails, I'm just nervous! Thanks for the video, its very helpful! What age do you start cutting toenails?
Typically between 12-16 weeks 😊
How long to you keep your breeding stock verses your fryer stock, thanks for the information on clipping, I am gathering information to start my rabbitry
My breeding stock I will keep for a couple years, but I tend to have higher turnover as we are always improving. We butcher rabbits typically between 12-16 weeks old. Sometimes younger if they are for sure a cull.
Thank you for the information and quick response, way to go girl, channel is very informative, keep it going
Who did the music in the beginning?
hey I had a. deo that has had 3 litters and only raised one litter
and killed the rest at 15 days old she killed the other two litters and we called her and her baby all had broken backs from her so we had to put all 9 down
Nice video. I've been following for a year and have started to hold rabbits for meat, and you're so inspiring. I would really love if you could do som videos about the prosess from live rabbits to ready for cooking. How to make that so human as possible, and som tips and tricks. 🤞❤️
Living Traditions Homestead has a very good video on that subject.
It is on my list to show my process Linn 😊
what if they won't stay still ?
I feel bad, but also upset with them, if I get a quick. One doe in particular kicks at random, and has kicked herself into a cut quick a few times. It just makes the whole thing more stressful
I know what you mean. Some of them jerk at the most inconvenient moments!
My lip lost a toe. The bone was exposed and we had to cull😭
I’m so sorry 😭
@@TealStoneHomestead it was my daughter’s 4H showmanship bunny too.
is cliping needed if you are breeding rabbits? and how would you clip a aggressive rabbit?
Yes, clipping is needed for all rabbits. Wrap aggressive rabbits in a towel. But really, we shouldn’t be breeding aggressive rabbits if we can help it 😊
@@TealStoneHomestead Ok thank you, you have helped me a lot. were do you get bunny raps?
@@monicadesousa8216 All things bunnies has them :)
Q an A please
And my question is where are you from
I’m in Indiana!
