I enjoy ds2 because it is the most inventive of the trilogy, and In my opinion it fleshes out the world's themes of cycles and how the curse makes you slowly lose yourself.
Nice video! Makes fun to listen to someone describing the story of a full 100% run. Doing the platinum trophy atm and just need to run the last few bosses. At the beginning it was quite tricky, due to the hit box system. But after you have understand the system, it starts to feel natural, almost. Like others said, the replayability is quite good and some play styles are unique (like hex hybrid melee/range build) and makes really fun. I love those DLCs! I have the feeling, that the developer has made a real progress there in map design (it feels more like DS1, where the path's are logical and intertwined and more interactivity). In addition, the bosses are really cool.

I also ended my first playtrough of ds2 with mixed feelings... But then I came back and continued coming back... It's just so fun to replay. And also It definitely has something special about it. DS1 and DS3 are also special, but DS2 is that in a different way(can't really explain what or why), also it has great lore, story and amazing NPCs. Also your first death was hilarious.
@retroshark8 I really got my - kicked in lmao. I will definitely have to reevaluate this game if I ever come back to replay it, though right now I have no plans since I’ve got my laundry list of other games to play haha
ds2 shine in replayability, best build variety together with elden ring (poison build actually work, mundane is unique of ds2, hexes r unique of ds2) ng+ system that actually add new stuff best pvp
Actually, players of fromsoft games have come around on their feelings about DS2 in more recent years. It's been a sublime validation for long time DS2 players. Seeing the rest of the player base catching up is just satisfying!

Yeah i have all achievements on all of them and ds3 covenant farming wayyyy worse. Plus wellager saves u some time in ds2, but in ds3 have fun grinding vertebra shackles
The one thing I hate is when people get mad at ds2 for trying something new. Ds1 and demons souls did the same thing. But ds2 gets all the hate. I get there is a lot of enemies but it ain't too bad. Ds2 is truly a game of patience. If you take your time and plan some fights with enemies it truly makes the game easier. I love ds2 for what it gave the series and I love it by a gameplay standpoint. I won't ignore its flaws. Yes the enemies are horrible. The reskins bad. A lot of the bosses bad. But I enjoy its quirks that make the game what it is. I have 100% almost every souls game except for sekiro (I only have a few left) if that gives more perspective to my review. I loved the video tho man! Thanks for giving the game a try and 100%ing it. (Ds3 is much more grind heavy 😢)
@@jacksonvanfosson770 I’ve heard DS3 is more grind heavy… sigh.. but yea! I think DS2 had some cool new stuff but I can also agree with some of the hate on certain aspects. Totally agree this game requires a slower pace instead of blasting through it

I got every achievements about 4 months ago and it was really fun until I had to grind out the falconers haha, ds3 is way worse though
the falconers were definitely a low point lmao, super tedious. i can't believe ds3 is supposed to be worse 💀
