Sideshow continues to embarrass themselves - they price their figures like they are hot toys quality and put out something inferior to most 3rd party companies. Instead of having the introspection and pride to improve, they just deny reality and focus on unethical ways to take out their competition.
I wish this had at least two interchangeable heads with different expressions, cuz I like having my Wolverine with at least an angry teeth gritted grunting or snarling face. Always hate it when you pay so much for a figure to have it completely devoid of accessories and playability. Not to mention the loose joints and QC issues.......
The thing is that even if sideshow replaces your Wolverine parts they’re going to send you a replacement with the same issue, it’s really a design flaw. The best Wolverine they’ve made in my opinion in the brown suit one by far.
I would agree sideshow is a bit of a joke when it comes to QC. My sideshow Batman arrived with parts of the boots broken off. I Have to glue it back myself now. It’s a joke considering the high prices. Joints all come super loose as well so you have to really work to get a good pose to stay.
I just got this figure too. The claws on mine stay on just a bit better than yours. I am not a fan of this head sculpt, I'll be working on swapping it out for another. I'm also not too enthused about the swap out arms. They seem kind of limiting. I saw posted somewhere by a collector that they were going to swap the body with a Phicen. That looks challenging with the way this current costume is made. I've got the Astonishing Cyclops and am pretty happy with him.
I prefer the Astonishing version. I have the Astonishing Wolverine and Cyclops and QC issues aside, They look really good. Also, even though Joss Whendon got cancelled this year, I have always been a fan of his run on the Astonishing X-Men comic. Those were my favorite suit designs for the Cyc and Wolverine for a long time next to the Jim Lee era.
Just got mine today, solid pickup. Not perfect, and over priced by $30, but it's the best 1/6 Comic book version Wolverine we have to date and for the foreseeable future.
I can’t believe sideshow didn’t fix the Claw issues especially since the tiger stripe one had it as well. I usually have to put the claws on then pull the gauntlet down and that usually keeps them on
Hey guys I just got this figure and the left arm joint was messed up, the plastic bunched up and came off I contacted sideshow and they gave me both left and right arm replacements!
Did you contact sideshow collectibles about getting replacement parts for the figure, they will send you just the parts if that's all that needs attention and if they still have stock of the parts and my favorite between the 2 Wolverines I have in hand between the brown and tan or the yellow and blue striped suit it would always be the brown and tan suit because its more of a stealther suit.
Thank you for this review. I wanted to get this guy but was afraid he would have the claw issues falling off like the tiger strip version. Love the look though. Also needed swap out muzzle expressions or second unmasked head sculpt. Sideshow has a great opportunity to give us comic book versions in 1/6 scale figures but their quality is lacking. I believe their statues are better made. I just mostly get my Hot toys from them.
Glad that they were able to replace the body parts, but those claws, although they look great, are just very poorly engineered in how they attach to the hands.
@@JustinsCollection Yeah, I guess It'd be a bit hard to make it look cleaner due to it's interchangeable parts. The figure over all, though, is really something.
I got a question off topic here. Maybe you can help. Actually it's questions, 1 do you know what kind of paint Hot Toys uses on there figure? Like say if you wanted to touch up or darken a color like black or blue etc. Question 2, do you think that Hot Toys Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader's body would work on the Star Wars Darth Vader MMS279?
@@JustinsCollection are they the same hight? I can't find your review of the ESB one where you compare the heights. I'm just curious because all the talking gimmicks in the Star Wars Vader limits his posability. And the Empire one looks like you can get more poses out of him holding a lightsaber with two hands etc. I would just buy the body cuz I'm not a big fan of the Empire or Jedi suits don't get me wrong it's still freaking awesome but my favorite Vader's are Star Wars and Revenge of the Sith which we desperately need hot toys to make!
This is more of a $150 figure tops with such limited accessories, weak base, no second head sculpt and QC issues. The QC issues are inexcusable, design flaws.
How after no angry face sculpt with the tiger stripe they didn't include one here is unacceptable. Brown suit got two sculpts. That frown face is garbage. The suit is cool though.
I have a sideshow 1/6 scale daredevil, cyclops, wolverine and all of them have some weird defect. Sideshow quality control is trash. I’m not buying anymore SS figures. I was going to buy general grievous but no way am I doing it now. Sorry Justin that makes me mad for you!
This one’s face like he got third place on a wolverine cosplay competition, the original second so he’s ok with it… we need the angry one holding the trophy 🏆 cmon guys!
To me this figure is totally unacceptable. I wouldn't be okay with this low level of QC from a Black Series figure. Much less a figure that costs 10x that. Why and how Sideshow continues to produce figures that don't even work as they should, blows my mind. This makes me very cautious of my pre-ordered General Grievous...
Awesome review! I love this wolverine figure, my favorite costume for him, such a good release from sideshow. It would be cool to see them make Rogue and Colossus
Astonishingly crappy and cheap! I love the old school looking figures but this shortcut cheap routine on these is unacceptable imo. This figure is worth $75.....maybe, and I still wouldn't want it.
@@JustinsCollection not trying to be mean, I just think sideshow should be stepping up here, especially when they are charging almost hot toy prices. Love your chanel!
Just to give y'all an update, Sideshow has replaced the body but as of yet no solution to the claws falling out. Might just have to glue them in...
Hey I did something for you on my UA-cam

Bluetac should fix the claw issue without Tampering the figure permanently.

I really like the costume for this one, but after having read/heard the QC issues it comes with - I'm happy with the brown suit one.
Yeah fair enough!
The QC issues are inexcusable for the price. Really disappointing. Sideshow not replacing faulty parts makes it even worse.
Agreed not ideal! I've contacted them and they're thinking about it I guess haha
@@JustinsCollection Ha! Hopefully they'll do the right thing! Not a good look for them at all if they refuse.

This is really amazing with the accessories, colour and a lot of other things😁
Nice
The "old" Yellow/Brown Suit version is still the best one of the three. Masked + unmasked head, kusabimaru are very nice accessories
Nice! I have that one coming!
I have the 90s Cyclops and Wolverine. It’s a shame sideshow can’t sort out the QC issues as this line has so much potential.
Yeah true!

For my wolverine I just went Mezco Wolverine tbh.
Nice!
Great review man! Have you chosen which one is the best between this and Jim Lee version?
I think the Tiger stripe is too classic to beat
My favorite Wolverine design. Right there👌
Awesome!
The shoulder pauldrons have the same scratch marks, but the blue is darker
Yeah

Ok they’ve made the yellow and brown versions now this one but they gotta try and make the Alex Ross version somewhere down the line

Sure!

I have not, sorry!

Yeah kinda annoying!
How does he scale with the Revoltech Gambit?
Completely out of scale
Yeah, not a fan of the claws. They don't look like they're coming out of his knuckles at all. They just look tacked on to the back of his fists.
Yes but that’s how the design was

Why? For no price can you ever guarantee perfect QC. Even on million dollar hyper cars. All I care about is the steps they take to resolve the issue
