I have the hardtail G2622 in the same color. Its a great guitar, the main issue was neck dive. I installed feather light Hipshot open gear locking tuners, crafted a bone nut and replaced the huge plastic knobs with the heavy steel Gretsch knurled knobs. It balances on the strap much better now. The stock Blacktop humbuckers actually sound great imo.
It wont. The bolt pattern is different than a made in USA Bigsby. I have an import Electromatic w Bigsby. Replace those awful nylon bushings with sealed bearings (US made Bigsbys have bearings). Bearings are about $1.50 and drop in. Also. Make sure your Bigsby isnt binding by being overtightened to the body. This will affect return. I've never really understood locking tuners. Every tuner can be a locking tuner if you string it around the post correctly. Theres a great vid tutorial on YT about this and the example used is actually a Gretsch w Bigsby. My bridge rocks (as intended)with Bigsby use and returns to pitch. I dont go crazy with it tho. It's all in the details. Save your money on unnecessary stuff until you've exhausted controllable variables.
Do not pay attention to this bozo @BataraKado , Having wraps around the post defeats the point of locking tuners. @MillCityLutherie just explained their purpose and @BataraKado ignores it. So it isn't ignorance it is idiocy. Just pull and lock. Don't crank them down as hard as you can either, you could end up snapping a string.

This is pretty cool. I just got the same one with bigsby wonder if the tremolo will combat the neck dive you speak of
Love “GOGO” the cat 😊 You’re ok too 😂 Very interesting video.
Check out the 2000 subscribers video. It's just Gogo.
@ I’ll watch it. Gogo, good name.
A really helpful video that I can apply to upgrades on any guitar. Super useful. Thanks!
I just bought a Gretsch how odd coming across your channel the same day 🤔 Taking notes
Great over view, thanks!
That was a great, informative video Adam! Thanks!
Great video ! Thank you for sharing your experience.
Also, count the number of knurld splines for the knobs, 18 or 24, depending upon your potentiometer shafts.
my guitars typically get a Wilkinson roller bridges, their mass and solidity makes a difference in improving tone as well as roller benefits.
Very cool. Thanks for
Great video.!! I just found your site and subscribed.
I’ve been wanting to replace the “licensed” bigsby on my electromattic jet. Do you know if the American made one will drop in?
Not 100. % sure. Bigsby to bigsby, as in import to USA I believe all do. If it is let's say an Ibanez made "bigsby" I'm not sure.

$53 for a Switchcraft switch?
That's the current price through WD. AllParts is $40, but I assume it will increase soon.
Just bought a Switchcraft on Amazon for $21.
what is the second reamer called .. where did you buy it
Second reamer? For the tuners? Those are expensive. From StewMac. If a one time DIY not sure it's worth the money.
Thank you I looked on stewmac and I didn't see it I'll check it out again thanks
