This was by no means the full concert. If it is a little too nostalgic, then that probably has more to do with my choice of songs than theirs. But having said that, after more than ten years not playing live, I'm sure some nostalgia did creep into what they played, and it was appreciated by much of the audience. There were however, several songs off the new album, including a 'live debut' at this show. The full setlist can be found here: www.setlist.fm/setlist/crowded-house/2022/aware-super-theatre-sydney-australia-4bb6e7ea.html Thanks for commenting. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Oakland concert.
Australia and New Zealand have always produced first rate bands and some bloody brilliant music. It's not always recognised, either here or overseas, but I think we can be very proud of our musicians. Thanks for commenting.
Excited to have tix to the Nashville show, but hope they get their (in-ear?) monitors tweaked by then. So much off-melody, actually off-note, singing throughout this show, and not just from the senior Finns. For this extraordinary band that we love for playing and singing that's intentional and true, anything that comes off sounding -- sorry -- lazy seems discouraging. Have seen plenty of (older) concert recordings, where Neil & Co. seemed to hit a helluva lot more intended notes. Or is it something besides and more difficult to address than weak monitors? LOVE Crowded House. Harboring what I hope aren't unrealistically high expectations here.
A couple of points, the first being any problems with sound quality is much more likely to be due to my inexpensive, non-professional recording equipment. But what do you expect from audience members videoing from their seats? Such videos are never great and sound suffers greatly. Personally, I rarely watch such videos. I probably wouldn't even watch my own except I was there so they have a very personal appeal. Secondly, to expect any 64 year old to be still singing as well as he did 35 years ago is just a tad unrealistic. If you are setting yourself up with such high expectations you'll probably be disappointed when you see them. Maybe stay home and listen to some of those early albums. But that said, I thought on the night, in the auditorium, the band and Neil sounded great. And I've since read plenty of other reports and reviews to know that I am far from being alone. Anyway, I'll be interested to know what you think after you see them. Please drop by and give me an update. I do hope you enjoy them. I hope my video hasn't put you off too much.
Hello. If you want to protect your ears from acoustic impact, I recommend that you use a piece of cotton. Put it in such a way that you have your hearing protected, but at the same time, that it lets you hear. Thank you.
See you Friday Neil and house family the tears are running down my face kick the arse out of it kleenex should sponsor your concert Glasgow won't let you down after your gig you will be reaching for the kleenex thanks for your music and sense of humour
It's great that they're coming back to do a whole lot more shows. A shame about the Hunter Valley concert but I can tell you it'll certainly be worth the wait. I know you'll really enjoy it.
I'm usually annoyed by the number of people who can't remain in their seats for whatever reason. It's obvious that they are not really there to listen to the music. Sadly, I seem to be in a minority these days.
'Scam'? Really? Is that how you feel? Well, I for one am extremely grateful it wasn't their last concert. I wasn't at the Opera House gig, although I have seen the recording. So sad that you should feel somehow abused that Neil Finn and Nick Seymour decided to perform again. I truly hope you manage to get over it.
I'm not sure what you are comparing their 2010 performance to. If it's how they sound on this video, then it's a very unfair comparison. If you've seen them live on this tour, then I'm sorry you didn't think they sound all that good. Despite the passage of time, most reviews have commented on just how good the current line up sounds. I thought they sound great.
Neil should just play electric guitar along with Liam on the songs Neil use to play lead on. No need for an extra guy on percussion also would prefer Mark on keyboards abs not Mitch. To me Nark just looks cooler. Apart from that a great show.

The full setlist can be found here:

Thanks for commenting. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Oakland concert.

Australia and New Zealand have always produced first rate bands and some bloody brilliant music. It's not always recognised, either here or overseas, but I think we can be very proud of our musicians. Thanks for commenting.
@clint who are your favourite Aussie and kiwi artists?
Love !! 🔥
Mark Hart is the best keyboardist, and guitarist for Crowded House.
He is the master of the Korg organ and no one else "froom" can quite manage

I had tickets to a show in the Hunter Valley on Apr 24 that was rescheduled due to Neil's covid. I'm now busting for November.
It's great that they're coming back to do a whole lot more shows. A shame about the Hunter Valley concert but I can tell you it'll certainly be worth the wait. I know you'll really enjoy it.
Is the other guitarist Neils son?
Liam Finn is on guitar and Elroy Finn on drums. No shortage of musical talent in that family.
Who 8s the younger guitar player?
In red? That's Liam Finn, one of Neil's two sons on stage with him.
someone said Paul Mcartney said Neil Finn is the best songwriter around.. well hed know. 😅
He never said it.

Best lineup since Paul Hester was in the band
I’m surprised at the number of people who can’t seem to get through the concert without needing a 💦
I'm usually annoyed by the number of people who can't remain in their seats for whatever reason. It's obvious that they are not really there to listen to the music. Sadly, I seem to be in a minority these days.
white suit ~
Didnt care for this set list. Liked their 2007 tour way better. Less of the old, cheery stuff.
So I suppose their big "final" gig on the steps of the Opera House was another scam.
'Scam'?
I don’t think those shows were billed as farewell shows. I think they were anniversary shows. But zI may be wrong.
For those that don’t know. The new line up now consists of Liam Finn on guitar and vocals and Elroy Finn on drums l.
@@danielbutcher3305 Mark Hart is so much better sorry Liam
Omg people sit down
They sounded so much better when I saw them in 2010.
Likewise I prefer Mark to Mitchell as he can't really sing or have a happy face!
