Did you have any sluggish acceleration issues? I think my fuel pump went out yesterday but was having super sluggish acceleration then my gas pedal stopped doing anything. Now wont start, will crank.
I’m having sort of the same problem here. Sluggish acceleration, usually have to press it from the top of the pedal to get to go somewhat, When the tank is less than half full it risks itself shutting off. However I’m also getting a p0430 code which is a bad cat code. But I’m hoping this is just a leak, and not a full cat replacement. Or it may also have to do with the fuel pump since it is running pretty lean. I have a 2013 g37x and I’m getting 21 mpg with city driving, but the car feels really sluggish and hard power steering as well
@@Gm29_mtz Yeah, pretty sure it’s fuel pump as well. Sigh this is a $400+oem part or 300 from a quality aftermarket. Fuel pump shuts off once it’s is dry, and not submerged in gas anymore hence the stalling at half a tank, once that is fixed I hope that p430 goes away.
I left my car sitting for a month with 30miles until empty then when I started it , it said 6miles till empty. Next thing i tried to turn it on today and it didn’t start. Mines a Infiniti g37 convertible 2012
Go to the engine and on the left side between the battery and engine they have a hose with a green cap , unscrew the cap and it should have a needle like object you can push down , when u push down gas should come out , if no gas comes out that means no pressure and it’s a bad fuel pump
Grate info. My 08 G is throwing lean codes on both bank 1 and 2. hopefully if I do the same it should clear it
You prolly need your coil packs replaced

It sounds like a fuel or air problem your having , spark plus or fuel pump?
@@Gm29_mtz Im thinking the same, I ordered a fuel pump in so we will see.

Yupp could be the fuel pump , mines a 08 and 1 day of not turning it on caused my fuel pump to just fry
The green cap is the evap fuel vapor line. No fuel will ever come out of that.
Ahh thanks
UA-cam tech
is true never never fuel is going to come out from there that green tap is for evap
Is there a way to test the fuel ?
yes you need a fuel gauge you can do it on the fuel rail or at the back of the fuel pump line
Might have to add a fuel gauge appreciate it
the fuel gauge is cheap and is good to have if you work on cars
I plan to buy the z1 fuel port and add a fuel gauge to it , it makes the engine look clean
My G37 literally shut off on me while driving, I tried cracking it back up but it just cranks but not start up. And I have no codes showing up.
Check if u have gas
But could be a failing fuel pump

Same issue did u get it figured out?
Happened to me yesterday, had to get new fuel pump. Just shut off middle of road.
