I have been practicing AOL meditation practices for almost 6 years here in NJ..I had some health issues initially and they have gone in no time and now amazing soothing experiences, and interest, zeal in life which is priceless... really tough to put into words but I can say 'Freedom from Known' & LOVE. I can genuinely trust the workshops, ppl and recommend others to learn and include in their daily routine..it really HELPS the practitioner in many aspects.....like Nike, 'Just Learn' and stick to some basic guidelines/ some follow-ups.... Enjoy life as it unfolds...

I begin to do meditation with an app called Himalayan meditation and I understand that the real meditation that the monks do is the most powerful on earth. I begin with Yantras,then Pranayam and now I'm focusing on Mantras and the Pancha Bhuta Kriya! There are techniques in the real Tantrik Meditation that peoples can not belive how powerfull they are. India is the homeland of meditation and I'm so thankful to have found your channel with the app I'm using! Meditation changed my life and helped me in a very hard time in my life. 🙏🕉

Meditation became the ‘in’ thing on social media only recently but it has been a sacred and powerful practice for many millennia :) while good sleep does help, sometimes even sleep can’t help quieten the chatter of the mind. You must have noticed that sometimes, after waking up from sleep, one feels that they are still tired, like they didn’t get good rest, they are not refreshed - the mind did not shut off even during sleep. Meditation helps with this and many more things :) it helps you settle down into your very nature and reconnect you with who you really are :) and yes of course, good sleep is very important - we cannot replace once with the other! Hope this answers your question :)
@@AnitaBokepalli Thank you for your thoughts. I am not discounting in any way the benefits of meditation for those who manage to master it. However, sleep is an almost involuntary action designed by nature to naturally occur, with the express purpose of recharging the human body and as such it should have been enough. We seem to have messed up the natural order of things due to our lifestyle choices and are then seeking practices like meditation, which is difficult to master and get right, to repair the self-created mess. Hence, shouldn't our focus be more on correcting the lifestyle mistakes first, and give nature a chance to do its job.
@@Anione111 sleep is an extremely vital physiological process, there is no taking away from this fact! Meditation is a vital aspect on the journey of self realisation :) we are not trying to use meditation here to give us only the benefits that sleep does - we are going beyond this. And you are right - we have messed up a lot of things along the way - we must respect our body and gives ourselves the sleep we need. And meditation can also help with our stresses, in ways that sleep cannot. In the same way that sleep gives us benefits that meditation cannot.
Meditation can really disappoint you You become less passionate about life You would retire from wordly affairs mentally You would not have the desire to run a rat race It's dangerous Meditation is a necessary but it has its own toll
honestly speaking all Gurus put on a facade to woo people into spirituality. Sadhguru has put on a facade of being logical, being cool and sporty to attract intellectual and young people into spirituality. Osho put on a facade of materialist. Sri Sri has a facade of being sweet and loving for those seeking unconditional acceptance. It is a trap. They will speak your language so that you get trapped. they will promise all kinds of transformation, success, this and that. And once you are trapped and there's no going back they will pull the earth from below your feet. the job of a guru is not to give u success, wealth, comfort, name and fame etc etc. these only increase ur karma and move u away from liberation. the job of the guru is to set u on the path of liberation... whether u achieve it in this lifetime or 30 lifetimes later. liberation means u drop cravings and aversions. craving for the world, for the worldy pleasures and comforts. and that can happen only when u get a lot of trauma and suffering from worldly things. it is a trap i am telling u it is not so rosy as u think gurus just put on a facade and speak ur language to entice u
