I think the lovely floral displays are done by volunteers, and Jane from Visit Fylde Coast and many other volunteers are responsible for them. They are very impressive.
I love a stroll around the Lovely town of Cleveleys when i do the Fleetwood coastal walk to Blackpool whenever i come up there from the Midlands .My Happy place.
Hi Stephen, always like to visit cleveleys when we on holiday in Blackpool. Lovely place- shops & cafes 👍🏻. Also love the idea of bollard cozy’s 👍🏻. Thanks for showing 👍🏻😎☀️
Really enjoyed the video Stephen, lots of floral displays and shops, clean tidy inviting. Was looking rather blustery ! I too love a mooch in charity shops, can get some real finds in them if look closely and not rush. Think the Balfour Beatty maybe to do with sea defence, or the likes. Groovy crouched costs on bollards, love them. We had someone doing superb ones on our letter boxes and she also attached at random hanging on bushes along our area a little plastic bag with a free crouched flower in, or other designs, about hope we like them and smile or the likes as in have nice day, cannot fully remember at all the wording written on the little card also inside. What a thoughtful kind gesture. When in Keswick last year I spotted one on a letter box ! Seems a lot shops and car parks in Cleveleys As for. Shops shut down, if any not as many as other areas maybe in UK. Not offay with Cleveleys. Thanks gain for such a brilliant informative. Scenic. Video Stephen. Takecare Stephen. Xx.
And as a life long bus enthusiast, I actually was waiting for you to reach the bus station! I love it's very quaint waiting shelter, with the "Bus Station" sign on the roof. Best of all though, is Kays Chippy next door!
Oh Stephen you hero! Yes Cleveleys is beautiful. In a couple of months the snowy foam may appear there on the prom. You mentioned nice apartments, there is even a bungalow with a Bentley. Some of the seafront bungalows have had alot of money spent on them. Nice touch mentioning your friend Steve's cafes!! So next you just have to go inland and do Thornton....please! Windmill, Railway where the old station was, go past Stannah to the Riverside and the Archimedes screw. You're moving in the right direction!. But very nice coverage of Cleveleys, the B and M was in the main St originally. The cafe has had money spent on it I notice, they have comfy chairs in there now. It was taken over about 4 years ago and the owners obviously want to modernise it. There used to be tennis courts where the contractors are and the car park by the Venue. Anchorsholme would be a good place to film as well. The time of day you chose helped as the place was quiet. It's a lovely place and you showed it off well. Thank you.
Thank you Stephen, really enjoyed your night time walk.Have not a walk around Cleveleys for many years, born in Blackpool & lived in Cleveleys til I was five.Nice to see the place looking well and may you continue with your walk arounds.Totally appreciate you & your videos, keep up the good work.
A fab film thanks Stephen as ever My nana and grandad lived in Cleveleys 1973 til 1988 we spent most weekends and school holidays there, fab memories I remember when the sea came up to near their road Meadowcroft Avenue The Blackpool B&M was the first one, then the Cleveleys one was second, the original one was opp the bus station in the car park on the left also opp what was the Police Station I love Cleveleys and Blackpool💙sadly live in Worcestershire now isn’t the same down south 👎🏻
Cleveleys was definitely the first B&M store, it’s birthplace. I wonder if you are thinking about price buster they took over the former woolworths, in Blackpool on the prom
We was there two weeks ago we was on holiday in Blackpool, and got the tram to Cleveleys what a beautiful place we went twice the shops and beach was amazing the 3 grandchildren loved it xx
The top club is brill in there….entertainment nearly every night and some stars appear now and again……Kirk from Corrie singing,Dave Berry and Johnnie Casson are the ones I saw there over the years……also do cash bingo 😊
Another lovely vlog around Cleveleys in the dark & quiet. May I make a suggestion, when you look at car park prices, would you also include how much or the restrictions for Blue Badge holders please. Loved the bollard toppers and how clean the town looked, although not many trees spotted.
Hi Stephen we visit cleveleys every year on our Blackpool weekend in September filling in my football coupon in the Regal hotel pup for the Saturday games totally different to blackpool but love them both another interesting great upload Stephen keep up the great work Malcolm & Elaine North Ayrshire Scotland 👍🍻
Major sea defence work have been carried out at Rossall beach near the Venue all year. Where big holes were dug by the sea wall and hugh rocks were buried to stabilise the beach. More hugh rocks are being used to build new groins. The rocks were being stored behind the hoardings near the Venue. They had to make the slipway down to Rossall beach bigger to accommodate the diggers and lorries. They also put in nice gates to block access to the public while the work was being carried out. I think they have finished burying the rocks but the groins work must still be carried out. I have learned this from Visit Fylde Coast. Xxx

Enjoyed your visit to clevellys Stephen will definitely have a look next time I'm in Blackpool it looks a nice place I loved the decorations on the Bollards ❤
What a beautiful place?. I had no idea how lovely Cleveleys is, I must visit here next time I'm over?. Thanks Stephen for another brilliant informative film.
I had family living in Thornton in Cleveleys, visited last year. Tuesday next week, myself and two friends being there for the Ride The Lights, for a charity, our bikes lit up, outfits and music too! :-)
Walked up the promenade from Norbreck to Cleveleys yesterday afternoon. Lovely weather if a bit blowy. They have done a really good job down there and Cleveleys was really busy during the afternoon.
The Cleveleys bus station really is in need of a revamp. It’s very grotty. I had occasion to use the loo on the site last year. The worst I’ve ever been in.
I love cleevleys everytine we stay in fleetwood at partingtons at broadwater we use the tram to cleevleys as the shopping is good and so is disabilty acessiblilty in their shops if i could afford move to cleevleys or even fleetwood as i would as i'd be on the tram every other day to shop in cleevelys. Another great video Stephen. Blackpool and all the places have been great to me and my 3 kids best holidays of our life’s spent in Blackpool I will always be greatfull to Blackpool
Hello Stephen I really do enjoy all your videos A Walk on the Wild Side as Blackpool and Cleveleys is my second hame as I have been going for over 60 years. Now this latest one on Cleveleys you mentioned that this was where the 1st B and M was born, Well I remember that very well . The car park that you ended the video on if you had gone further down opposite the Bus Station and behind the British Legion Club there was a block of Garages at the bottom end. BandM had one garage then they expanded into the next garage with a door through at the bottom of the garage. This was the case many times till they had taken over all of the garages. We used to stand outside with our wire baskett waiting till we were told we could go in as they could only allow so many in at a time for fire risk. you went from one garage to the next buying your items till you came throgh to the last garage where there was a till where you paid for your purchases. Most of the goods that they sold in those days were mainly items which were all made for shipment abroad. and were in a foreign language. I used to buy tons of stuff to take back home and I can tell you I still have some bars of soap and some Pears shampoo which I bought in those garages in the 1960s.. Hope you do not mind me going on but I thought you might like this information for future videos. Kind Regards David (Newcastle upon Tyne )
Hi Stephen lovely night time beach shots 😍 BB are digging deep trenches and filling them with huge boulders before re-filling them with sand to protect the sea wall as it was being under mined which would eventually lead to collapse and flooding at high tide.
The original B&M in cleveleys was opposite the bus station, what is now a big car park. Very near where you ended this video. This was where the B&M story started. There first store. Cleveleys has always been like this, a bustling place in the mornings with shoppers, and generally very quiet in a evening.
Another great video, and we can hear you loud and clear. Why wasn't Blackpool promenade built in the same way with the lovely seating areas. Fantastic sky too.
Went to that hotel you started at, (the venue, did you say it was called?) back in 1987, with a mate who was after Moorhouses Pendle Witches Brew, which it then sold. Must admit, it's a pint that I took too! I also remember playing Fleetwood Mac's "Sweet Little Lies" on the juke box!
Heron foods and pound bakery next to each other is off the scale. How on earth both of those company's haven't expanded into scotland baffles me they would make a killing up here.
Thanks Stephen for another excellent video. We have been going to Hambleton a couple of times a year for the last six year and always go to Cleveleys shopping, but unfortunately we never get to eat there as we are restricted to two hours in the disabled parking bays which doesn't allow time to shop and eat, which is a pity as year by year Cleveleys has more and more shops and food places shutting. If only they did as Blackpool does and allow disabled drivers to park for three hours free and then allow them to pay for any additional stay in their car parks, which would help the shops and eating places stay open as well as helping the disabled holiday maker's.
The groynes. If that is what BB are building, are put into place to try to arrest longshore drift. Longshore drift is probably why the sand at Blackpool is going missing.
Great video again Stephen. The Cleveleys Kitchen is a place we have used on and off since the late 80s and never had a bad meal. It is a real gem of a place. Please do a shorts review.

Did anyone see Jane in that gym? Stephen could've been her best mate for the nice things he said about Cleveleys. But he ruined it by saying it's where old people end up! 🤣 15:20
Its so clean and well looked after. Like you said we are without a bus station which is a disgrace. You have to go to different areas for your bus in blackpool. I enjoy all your videos you tell and show like it is. Thankyou Stephen.x
Looks a lovely night Stephen for one of yr video walks 😊 I've watched yr video's for a few years now as I love blackpool, and even though I'm 125miles away it's great that you give such a fabulous insight, reviews and tours around the area and keep everyone updated on upcoming events it's really appreciated thankyou ❤
Not exactly overflowing with life. Where is everyone? The height of summer, children off school, and it looks like a ghost town. The surfeit of charity shops and mobility scooters suggest the place is dying. A shame because the promenade is lovely and it always feels very safe.
That empty unit next to the cinema was a Pizza Hut. It was only ever very quiet in there even when there was a new block buster on at the View. So it closed a good while ago but eventually reopened as a "sport bar". It had a pool table and SKY sports on a screen. Then started offering food, and kids eat free... they were struggling from the start. Inevitably it closed. Always sad to see an independent business set up and struggle before closing. I imagine that the big empty pub, The Jubilee, will get bulldozed. It was built by Whitbread as a Brewer Fayer so it's unlikely to be useful for anything other than a cavernous food pub. The modern way seems to be to burn down unwanted buildings so you might have another fire and demolition to cover Stephen!

Blackpool sea wall started around the millennium, with the hexagonal blocks up to South Pier. The rest continued after that.

Cleveleys was very remote until the arrival of the Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramroad in 1898, the town growing subsequently.
B&M bargains was over the road from the bus station up a little alley or side street a small warehouse.

Hi Stephen.
