This is the reality of marketing live animals ,given some of the comments it looks like the nearest some people have come to real animal meats is at the supermarket. As the old saying goes " everything gets eaten except the squeak". Did Khen work out if she had made a profit after fattening up the pigs?
cheers andi, she gets paid at market value per kg but a lot of money has gone into setting up and feeding the pigs for months so it will be a long time yet and many more sales before a profit shows
I was in awe at what i,m guessing was about 300kg in that sidecar, then the guy came into shot on the solo motorbike with the wooden? sticks all strapped onto his bike.
with petrol at 95p per litre ther is no way they will be moving to silly electric cars (never mind the batery temperature problems) as you are mechanicaly minded. What fun / improvement ideas do you have for the house & farm. even with plenty of sun, is solar used much ???
Looks great Alan!! I love it that side of the world!! Have you ANY interest in mondeos still lol. I actually have an issue and would be happy to contribute just for your opinion 💵💵💵
Thanks 👍Charlie ..yeah I keep saying how our lives can change in a heartbeat and enjoy what you have while you can, I do miss Steves and will be going back at some point to see everyone, anyway, have a good day😊
@@alan4xsaves you taking the live stock down the slaughter house alan so you can get on with jobs on the farm. But I guess for a couple of animals probably not worth it

I went to one of those rice mills with my brother in-law once. Our bike was stacked up with sacks of rice for processing, those bikes take a beating. Great vid Alan keep them coming.
@khennahsfarm2610 alan should have enough bacon to last 6 months, don't you feed them scraps and fruit.they quite happily eat anything pigs. We have a saying in england alan will know it. Greedy as a pig
Vlogers make business cards and give them. No miss spelling etc . I don't eat meat but understand PH do things differently you won't change them. If it works then why change it. Keep up the good work.
The fully serviced fuel/ gas station felt weird after years of filling up your car in the west. Labour is cheap there and they are worried about theft. UK labour is expensive and got CCTV linked to DVLA if you do a runner.
Its amazing how many gas stations are being built there, they keep springing up but in UK the independants are going out of business and its being monopolized.
We love your videos. It is also wonderfull how Khen seems to becoming more confident on the videos, It's great to hear Khen's thoughts.
cheers Lisa and Andy 😊
Brilliant that Alan...really interesting...& I love the life style so much, what a beautiful country, what a beautiful way of life...👌👍😎

more than just the ducks we have seen. its a right little farm. Bacon & eggs :)
yeah she is trying to raise pigs so time will tell how that goes😁
You want to introduce some.hereford cattle and devon reds alan
I bet they don`t mess about with that E5 and E10 gnats p*ss!
they have regular 95 Ron petrol and a lower grade I think 91 Ron for older vehicles I guess thats all I have seen apart from regular diesel

It is what it is alan im just suprised you dont have fatteners and dealers like we have in the uk
she does feed them foods that make them grow quicker but rather than the pigs being fatty they have more meat

thanks stu, yeah very interesting to see and love all the bikes out here, hardly saw any bikes in the uk, wonder if they are dying out
Pigs eat anything why is khen buying rice unless as its a extra feed , so nuts in the Philippines but you have to love them
I dont buy commercial feeds...i feed them organic, so i know they are healthier for consumption

Feed them lots of food before you go to increase weight lol
lol, she feeds them supplements and organic feeds to make them grow faster but have more meat rather than fat

In that area the Don Carlos slaughter house is next to the bus terminal

by the super markets
thank god its the opposite over here where mom and pop can run a business without corporations pushing them out
pigs are a risky but popular business in ph.
you certainly need a bit of capital to keep it afloat
poor pigs they could be your pets
expensive pets😁
@@alan4x obviously the costs for feeding will take a large chunk of the profit
ohh yes, the sale of duck eggs is supplementing the pigs at the moment
It's a farm George not a charity shop, the pigs are feeding the human beings of the Philippines
Is the aim to sell at lechon weight?
no its a case of sell whatever the buyer wants
