Ironically enough I just finished Gamechamp3000's take on this challenge too the other day, I think she solved Condarts Away with a series of painfully precise wall jump spin jump fire balls before not being able to finish her challenge properly due to Nintendo patching out the method she was using.
There is _a_ bubble-like mechanic, but it might only work in online multiplayer. You can press L and R at the same time to turn into a ghost.
Actually it works in regular multiplayer, I'm using it for a jumpless playthrough

I know people say that the Koopalings are "overused" and all that, but ironically enough I feel like if they appeared in this game they would've benefited the most from the sheer creativity of the Wonder Flowers... It probably wouldn't have been much, but a hell of a lot better than having to fight Bowser Jr. every time...
Oh my god yes i’ve been saying the same thing! It’s been long enough since they last appeared and it’d be lovely to see them show off personality with the dialogue and the wonder and stuff
Even the final boss was underwhelming as hell. You learn really quick that you need to time your jumps and then the entire thing is over before you even know it. I jumped on that final Bowser switch and thought to myself "Surely there's a Phase 2", and then the game just ended. Say what you will about NSMB, the boss fights in those games can get real creative when they feel like it. Think back to NSMB1 with Mummypokey and the Monty Mole Tank and Petey Piranha. Or even a Koopaling game like NSMBU, with Morton hitting a giant Pokey at you with a hammer, or Roy attacking you with a Bullet Bill Bazooka, or Bowser Jr. punching at you from within the Clown Car. Meanwhile in this game, Kamek only exists to be a delivery boy. You could cut him from the game and shit would play out the exact same. I don't even think he had a single line of dialogue he was so absent
@@grunkleg.3110 It's so weird that Kamek doesn't even get so much as a boss fight. I mean, even NSMBWii and NSMBU had him as a boss, what's different here?

Hard agree. I personally love the Koopalings but even removing personal bias, NSMBW already kinda had something similar with a few of them, like Lemmy's giant ball for example. Think of how much more they could have done
Ive seen a lot of people online doing these challenges where its like, "no coins, no badges, no yoshis and nabbits, no multiplayer and im always small". If you are doing a challenge, the point of one is to figure out how to beat it by using all of the tools available to you, so its nice to see a youtuber going the much more fun to watch simpler route.
13:31 okay so i tried this level coinless for myself and found that you actually can stand on the edge of these pipes, but it's just BARELY possible.
the trick is that you need to groundpound, since having any momentum while landing will inevitably lead to you either falling off the pipe or grabbing the coins. i was able to beat the level coinless by jumping off the tallest pipe to the left while playing as yoshi and having the floating high jump badge, and jumping after groundpounding so i don't pick up the coins on the pipe below.
there's all kinds of potential tech in this game that is getting missed right now. Like I've watched multiplayers chain bringing each other back to life for a couple of spots. Which he didn't use that might have made a couple things possible or at least easier to do as well.
its less that the mario level designers dont want you to do coinless runs and more that they want to place coins in the most enjoyable positions.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo does know about coinless challenges. There's are some Challenge Mode stages in New Super Mario Bros. U which penalize you for collecting coins, including the infamous "Don't. Touch. Anything."
I love the videos where there's just sprinkles of impossible challenges that get overcome in unconventional ways. Also the sudden abrupt cut to WW2 footage before the Hoppycat section absolutely killed me

I appreciate the usage of the piranha plant parade theme as it is my favorite thing in the whole game THEY SING AND WALK WHAT BETTER THING COULD THERE BE
Once you get to the open area of Pipe Rock Plateau you can utilise a glitch to get out of bounds and skip to the Petal Isles. You can use that same glitch again to skip Worlds 2 and 3. So the mandatory coin in World 2 is, in fact, skippable.
Unfortunate in a way - your solutions to the seemingly unskippable coins in World 3 were so clever it feels a shame to make them redundant 😢
Nico was able to use a shell and fire flower to kill the condarts simultaneously.
That Yoshi thing is probably gonna be your saving grace for the jumpless challenge
funny enough, I play as Luigi and generally default to the floating high jump badge when I don’t need/don’t know if I’ll need another

it's a solid badge, but i found myself defaulting to the spin boost badge for better aerial control
Maybe I'm wrong but there might be one way to beat the second castle without collecting any coins.
However, it's a bit "cheesy". Plus: It requires playing online with friends.
While playing online, you can turn into a ghost (either by "dying" regularly or by pressing L + R). You could use this ghost mode to fly past difficult areas. You could use it to fly through those pipes and avoid those coins. :-D

You can beat Wubba Ruins without the wonder flower if you use the drill hat and precise wall jumps/safety bounce to get to the secret area you’d otherwise need the Wonder effect for.
18:50 - that area of Color Switch Dungeon just needs precise jumps, but it's 100% doable.
However, HUGE props on doing 25:13 in single-player!!!!

Seems Nico and CMee both managed some things the other didn't, though still no skipping those ten coins...
CMee didn't abuse standees as much, but did force him to take a coin that Nico skipped, for example, and Nico avoided the purples too, and I think both mighta gotten seeds the other didn't even?
Yeah, we both did the challenge differently. I love how CMee discovered strategies to levels I thought were impossible.

A glitch was discovered where you can skip W2 entirely, so you could technically use that, but it might not have been found by the time of recording.
Amazing, 2 different people uploading on the same day the "same" challenge. That just shows how deep the brain worms have gone into the mario community that there isn't even a question of when anymore to these challanges

14:50 Here from the future to say that @Gamechamp3000 has successfully passed this particular section coinless, by standing on the very edge of the pipes!
You can definitely get past those condarts without multiplayer, I saw a colleague of yours pull it off. You throw the shell while falling and it goes harmlessly into the pit then quickly fireball the opposite side
Remember how you got to Bowser’s Fury for this challenge before NicoBBQ did? Oh how the tables have turned.

Welp. Time to binge watch. UA-cam has not told me about a single video from you for the last two months.
With the help of glitches, world 2 can be skipped so... that's one way to dodge the Castle coin. Nothing to do with the world 5 issue (wow, both were final levels) though, you need to complete worlds 4, 5 and 6 to unlock Bowser Castle.

when you play online the other players get the coins and you have a free entry

I know of a video that found a way to clip into the wall, so this level could actually be possible using that. it uses local co-op and ghosts, as ghosts go through surfaces they can be used to clip through if revived at the right spot. I don't know if this works for this challenge but the video is beating the game without pressing right if you want to check it out.

There is a ghost mechanic in this game that works as the normal multiplayer bubbling. you can do this with L and R or by dying

9:58 In this section you can actually kill those enemies with fireballs, you just need to break one of the bricks to lower the height and get a better angle
13:40 In this pipe you can actually move it without touching any coins located at the border of it, it's a really tiny spot, but it's big enough so that one can make a ground pound on it and move the pipe, going beneath said coins
26:31 Here in this section you can do 2 different things to pass here:
For the first section, before grabbing the Wonder seed, you can use a Bubble Flower power up to activate the lil flower thing that makes the blocks disappear in order to avoid the first section
As for the second one, you can exploit the local online multiplayer of the game to avoid the coins, in which one player goes at the other side of the blocks and then you can kill one of the players with the screen in the second section, which is tall enough to kill a player via screen, a
then the ghost can be used to respawn on the other side thanks to the online co-op, activating the flower thing and disappearing the blocks
These actions were attempted by a youtuber called TDYU while he did this same challenge in his channel, I thought I could point them out since it'd make the challenge possible

There is something that can help with the multiplayer aspect and the second player can join anywhere in the level but can’t leave unless outside a level
By the way, Crouching High Jump II is _completely_ possible coinless.
You made it sound like you _had_ collect the coins at the start, but... you really _don't?_
If you just get a running start and do a mid-air twirl at the apex, the first set of coins are entirely avoidable.
And from there, the rest of the level is really easy to do coinless, aside from one part after the checkpoint that requires some strict timing jumping off the long Donut Block into normal-ass Wall Jumps. But I feel that's the kinda stuff you're used to!
Edit: Color-Switch Dungeon is also possible! The coins you showed can be avoided with some precise crouch jumps, and from there, the level is actually relatively easy coinless. So yeah, Sun Baked Desert is pretty generous in this regard!

This is simultaneously really easy and also impossible. In most levels the wonder flower is completely optional and easy to avoid, but there are a few ones where it’s required to complete the level and if you don’t it gives you a fake clear screen

hey idk if you beat this challenge or not but if you use the cap glide you can basically infinintly ascend walls by wall jumping and gliding back into the way. the glide gives you more height and you can even clear the ledge, so you can escape death pits

Upon fact with a recently discovered glitch it is possible to skip that First World Almost entirely, The second you get to the 3D section on the world map you can go out of bounds and skip the entire world

you should do a harder challenge where you can't touch purple coins either
Just noting, for the goo level there IS a way to prevent the konk from seeing you. But getting through with the invisibility badge would be pure torture... Now that you are invisible, it's possible to use a manually-activated konk to hit that block with the flower yourself if you manage to jump precisely to hit it... easier said than done when you are invisible and need the konk to be in movement to actually be high enough for you to make the jump.

It is possible to do jump jump jump without the wonder effect which means no coins will spawn but good luck pulling it off plus you need the bubble flower and i don't remember if you get it before or after world 2
Wait, for that pipe what if you played online multuplayer? Other players can’t collect coins for you but you can turn into a ghost then spawn on them, is it possible to float through the pipes and respawn on the right of those pipes in world 2 castle?
10:30 there's a stunt I've seen involving a koopa shell and a fire flower that killed both birds but that involves extreme timing
Thanks to a world map out of bounds exploit which lets you skip all of World 2, you can skip the coin the that castle, lowering the total to 10

I Found a way two get past that coin in world 2-castle
It is possible to get on the pipe while the coin is there they got a special edge animation when you are to close to an edge your facing
Kinda hard to pull off but it gives you enough leeway to make it possible
