Why do the Western countries and United Nations Human Rights commission turn a blind eye when human rights of citizens of poor countries are violated by wealthy countries? This young talented female student died from starvation dehydration and complications that followed while being imprisoned by the Japanese Immigration Department for overstaying her visa. Why didn’t they feed her, treat her or deport her? Also UN is silent when house maids from Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and other Asian countries are starved , beaten, raped, and overworked many times without pay. They are imprisoned in homes they work 24 hours round the clock daily. Their passports and cell phones are confiscated by the employers of these wealthy countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Oman and many other Middle Eastern countries. If they are raped they (victims) are stoned to death or decapitated for adultery. Many return to their own countries in body bags or if alive are disabled with lost limbs, fractures, wounds and are terminally sick. ,
When I listing to this Story I believe the Japanese immigration an the Japanese government have to take the full responsibility of this girls death. After custody someone under immigration or police there responsibility is protect that person even he/she broke some law or not. In this case even she mentioned herself that she has not well her body the immigration officer’s not given any attention to her. Immigration has totally neglected their duty. I feel very sorry for her and her family.
