I was lucky enough to get tickets for the whole family - a great concert and this performance was definitely the highlight; better even, then the Cybermen wandering through the audience.
Depends what you mean by "original". This is much closer to the actual TV version used in the show, than the slow dreary version that ended up on the soundtrack.
Oh how i wish we had a proper studio version with Tim Phillips instead of that awful dreary version that ended up on the soundtrack. I know some people like it. Sorry, I dont.
Thank Christ, a full version by Tim Phillips!
I love the fact that at 1:35 he says “have a good life, do it for me” calling back to when rose finds the 9th doctor’s hologram ❤
The orchestra in this really makes it. Especially after the key change.

I love it but does anyone else notice that he sounds a little drunk but I like it the best
To be honest if you find the video, he came on looking drunk...
Yup
Sounds just like Shaun Ryder singing DARE Live
The way he paused like mid way... i’m 99% sure he was drunk on that day.... Still he sings better than me even when he’s high! 😭😭😭
I think that it kind of suits the song honestly.
Hands down, the best version
Puts a smile on my face every time :)
I like the tv version most
Love this video. David Tennent the best
It is the best version
Very Nice
Is it just me or does this seem fast and feels a bit choppier than the original?
it is yeah
