i was probably most disappointed with g3 clawdeen, og clawdeen is just so iconic i think anything would’ve been a down grade. i miss her confidence and attitude, i loved that she took no crap from anyone! i’ll definitely miss og clawdeen the most

I feel like they switched her and howleens personalities when they had the opportunity to emphasize their sisterly relationship, howleens whole thing before was wanting to be cool like clawdeen and they could’ve done it in a way where the message was “you don’t need to be someone else to be cool, just be yourself” and clawdeen could’ve shown her some like makeup and hair techniques and made her some new clothes so howleen could stop borrowing hers

Yea I agree, Lagoona poor thing she really got the short end of the stick not just in the dolls but also in the animation with removing her accent (which for me made lagoona, HER!)
The G3 Cleo prototype was way better and prettier. It actually had a black shirt and bendages with gold and blue or indigo strikes in her hair instead of that light blu she got in the end. Also she had sandals and not those huse boots.

for me g3 draculaura is GREAT but most of the other characters got the short end of the stick, this custom is absolutely STUNNING and gives her all the fierceness she deserved
Same but I find that the new Designs took away the prominent traits of each character like how Lagoona was blue and Australian and Draculaura is adopted (so why would she resemble her current mom?)

I love the new g3 ghouls, but I do miss g1 Clawdeen. I loved her confidence, her determination, her passion for fashion and the fact that she never took actually took any interest in boys. As a shy self-conscious tween, who didn't know she was asexual, clawdeen was who I wanted to be a confident woman who follows her passion dearly. I love your new desing for her, she does really look like the clawdeen that always inspired me.

I love how they all have the same dark style but with a twist. Like Clawdeen is more muted street couture, Draculaura is dark lolita, and Frankie is preppy punk goth.
I absolutely ADORE the OG queen. G3 got rid of her most unique and standout assets and features. Like you said, the accent and her bold clothes were what made her my all time favourite doll. As a black girl with very out there taste it was sad to see her dulled down in G3, but she’s cute at least aha ❤️

I love all your customs of this Monster High series. They made them too “girly” and one reason this series was good is because girls aren’t all rainbows and pastels; we can also be darker, probably why I also liked BRATZ.
This doll just screams "Baddie"... the crescent moons in her eyes is such a cool detail too
this is the most gorgeous Clawdeen I’ve ever seen. I’ve identified so much with her character since 12 years ago. She was the ghoul that showed me that I should stand up for myself and not butcher myself to intimidation. I love that you bring back this edge and fierceness into her, because that what she’s really about. Thank you!!

I’m a massive MH G1 fan and I’m massively in love with you giving the unrecognizable and ridiculous G3 the incredible makeover they desperately needed mixed with your stunning style. Clawdeen is one of my 3 top favorite MH girls, and you could not have captured her more perfectly. I love your redesigns so much and I’m dying to see your repaints of Lagoona (the real blue Lagoona), Cleo, Abbey and Ghoulia to complete the main group🥰 I’d actually love to see Toralai too as i love her edgy style and I know you’d definitely take that up a notch.

I like your take on the G3 Monster High Ghouls as I kinda missed the dark muted colors from G1. I love that you gave Clawdeen natural hair and brown hair as I missed her brown hair she is Afro-Latina this time around which is cool. Also, G3 Clawdeen has poly hair which is very hard to maintain to the point where I had to chop the ends as it looked like a rat’s nest (alongside being burned at the ends). Her Skultimate Secrets Doll looks much better than her Basic, so Mattel is getting better with her style.
That being said, I like the new G3 Monster High cartoon and dolls, it’s different and it’s not trying to be Gen 1 while paying a respectful homage to it. My favs Frankie, Abbey, and Lagoona. I also like Cleo in G3 as she still has her diva personality, but friendly and I appreciate on how supportive she was to Clawdeen in Episode 4. You should give the cartoon a watch and feel free to share your thoughts.

For example, her name is lagoona, last name blue purely based on the blue lagoon not because previous lagoonas had blue skin. if Clawdeen was nerfed and stopped being beautifully wild, Lagoona seems to have been given a brush full of paint and on top of that underwater charm they made a fish that can't decide between being a piranha or a salmon
I even thought it was a distant relative, or the younger sister, until they changed its species, being freshwater and not saltwater
Lagoona looks way better in a next line with lockers (tbh I'm not sure how it's called) that the basic doll line. Strangely that's happening with some of G3 dolls. Most of the next releases look way better than some of the basics.
I know you were disappointed with the melting leopard print fabric but I think it was a happy accident that made her look more wolf-y and edgy❤ I love her!!

to add: obviously she was black coded. there is no denying that. but, black can literally be anything. african american, african, and afro latin are all considered black. unless they specifically told us g1 was african american or just african, they didn’t really add anything to her race, just made it much more prominent in her life, which they did with all the dolls

I can totally understand g3's aesthetic not appealing to everyone, but I really like their overall younger appearance! they come across more like actual pre-teens or young teens and remind me of me and my friends at that age :> its really cute and nostalgic to me!

Take a Frankie, do some reference sculpting, then all you have to worry about is the head♡
PoppenAtelier changes skin colors of the dolls pretty frequently! It definitely takes time, but with lots of MSC and some good pan pastels, I don't think it would be quite as hard as you expect. (Or maybe it is, and she just makes it look really easy. That's possible too. 😂)

I love how Hextian use the frase "You can use..." or "You can do...", like I can do this kind of art. I love watching this videos not as a tutorial, more as the video I see to relax myself.
You are an absolute artist. I have real respect for dolls, they are like paintings in a museum through my eyes. It's important to me that a doll really captures the spirt of the character it is shaped after. Clawdeen Wolf is gorgeous and fierce but her doll was more cute and it just never gripped me, I say 'it' because it's not her in spirit form. THANKYOU for bringing her to life in all her glory and beauty. She and yourself are amazing.

I love the OG Clawdeen, she was one of my favourite characters growing up. I loved her fashion, her personality, how loyal to her friends and passionate she is about making new people to MH welcome. However I will say I understand the changes and marketing behind the new g3 dolls. They’re marketed towards kids and preteens, who LOVE colour! I have never met one kid who doesn’t love colour. But I can understand from a doll collector’s perspective and how people are partial to the OG series and dolls, how it can be disappointing. We love the OG’s. We love to see them, but the diversity in body shape and the representation of non-binary people (like myself❤), amputees, race, and other amazing changes that have been made in g3 are what make MH! They have always been so forward about embracing yourself and what makes you different from others. It’s amazing! No matter the generation of doll, I’ll ALWAYS love Monster High! ❤❤❤❤

You made Clawdeen look like an Aunt from Boston,MA that moved to Brooklyn,New York, always brings presents whenever she is invited to a family gathering, burns down the kitchen whenever she tries to cook and gives fashion tips to her Nieces and Nephews while raving about 70's fashion.

At first, I really did not like Clawdeen's doll because well the bun was just a mess. But the more I looked at her and after I redid her hairstyle, I actually love the doll! I'd say she's one of my top 3 favorites of this new generation. And I also love your interpretations of these gen 3 dolls! I can't wait to see more.

This is FRIGHT-tastic! A great love letter to the character and a fierce way to close the year.
You should do Cleo next. Give her mesh and silk clothing with a feather or scales as a nod to ancient Egypt, with a nice pair of peep-toes.

Clawdeen has always been my fav character, and what they've done to her makes me feel sad, but your design? wish they could be as creative as you, this design stays true to her initial personality, which was the best one. clawdeen is my favourite. the fact that she was so fierce, so confident, a black girl and (technically) confirmed lesbian at that! she’s so special to me. i’m a little upset at how they changed her with this reboot tbh, but watching this made me remember why i love her character all over again 💜

She isn't a confirmed lesbian at all. The creator says he supports the headcanon but that's it. Please don't spread misinformation.
@@_.-._.-.hen did he ever say that it was a headcannon, all he said in the initial post was, “we tried but were always told it wasn’t the right time.” And then said they just hinted at it in the books. He even said that he loved the idea and to take it and celebrate, so they are really not spreading miss info.
