Ironically the person who was the closest to end Isagi's career among the entire cast of BL was Naruhaya

But one thing that we do know for sure is, that without Naruhaya, Isagi probably wouldn't have gotten this far ahead, gaining two weapons because of him.
Sure, the Off The Ball is amazing on its own and we manga readers know just how much that helps Isagi constantly, but the main weapon we all know about Isagi is his Adaptability.
Without Naruhaya to point it out directly, who knows how much longer it would have took for Isagi to have noticed his own Genius.

In theory, it makes sense how Naruhaya could've been Isagi, but in practice, there was absolutely no chance to begin with, Isagi was the one carrying Team Z and is probably the reason why the strong players in Team Z evolved and awakened, while Naruhaya was just in the background.

Yeah but if naruhaya could go back to BL with destroying his ego since he knows 50 percent of the battle then he could make it but he probably got destroyed in the wildcard regardless

While I acknowledge that Nauruhaya had the potential to match Isagi's skill level, I doubt he would have achieved it. There are three key reasons for this skepticism. Firstly, their motivations for joining Blue Lock diverge significantly. Isagi's drive stems from his desire to become the world's best striker, fueled by his determination never to experience defeat in the same manner again. This relentless pursuit of excellence propels him to constantly adapt and progress. In contrast, Naurhaya's primary motivation is to lift his family out of poverty or secure their financial stability. While he expresses a desire to catch up to the geniuses, it's not driven by a quest for superiority but rather a means to establish himself as a professional player. Once financial security is attained, his dedication to the striker role would be non existent . Secondly, Naurhaya demonstrates a lack of willingness to challenge himself. His choice of opponents, including Isagi, is based on his confidence in victory, unlike Isagi, who consistently seeks out stronger adversaries to push his limit Such as when he challenged Rin's team and when he chose to challenge Bachira in tag while Naurhaya's complacency undermines his potential for growth. Lastly, his commitment to self-improvement appears lacking. Despite training with Borou, his efforts to enhance his skills remain questionable. While Naurhaya might have been a more compelling character than some, such as Igarashi, his trajectory would likely lead him at best to a supporting role within the team, content to contribute as a post player like Ness does for Kaiser, provided he could fulfill his familial obligations by having financial stability. Ultimately, Isagi is a striker who dreams to be the best for no other reason thats what he burns for, where as Naurhaya is a soccer player who aims to play professionally so he and his family can be financially stable, so for those reasons I actually don't believe he would have been even half as good as Isagi now.

I def agree as Isagi's desire to be the best helped him further down the line. Its like when Isagi told reo after defeating him "only people who will become the best strikers in the world can survive in blue lock" this killer mindset is what Isagi was able to destroy himself for and Naruhaya could not achieve

Naurhaya never got the chance to change into something better like every other Bluelock player (kunigami, nagi, bachira, chigiri etc). It had less to do with his motives for playing and more to do with him being a stepping stone for isagi, which is lame.

I don't know of an anime or manga that has done this idea but ...
Would it not be awesome to see the main character that we started with and got to know and follow get eliminated from the story somehow by someone else who would then be the new main character of the story and we would then get to know them and follow them like the first main character but this time with complex emotions of either liking or hating the new main character for eliminating the first main character.
I think this kind of story would also really keep the reader on edge due to us knowing that plot armor doesn't exist in that kind of story.
I don't know if this kind of story would actually work as a good story in practice but the idea of naruhaya eliminating isagi and basically becoming the genius of adaptability isagi is now and getting to follow naruhaya in this story instead of isagi sounds like a crazy wild and yet thrilling story point that would be talked about a bunch due to stories never really getting rid of their main character in the middle of the story.

It's cool idea but a lot of people would drop the manga. Look what happened with Gojo, he wasn't even the main character and most JJK haters say JJK sucks cus Gojo died

    • @redhitman5311
      @redhitman5311 5 місяців тому +3

@bigrat8402 I agree, there is a reason why stories don't do this kind of thing, who wants to get attached to a character to them have them gone from the rest of the story.
I will say though that the case with Gojo, he was the face of JJK, he got to the point of being an irreplaceable character. Isagi in the Manga I would say is also at that irreplaceable stage. This idea points to needing to eliminate a main character at the right moment where you have built them up where the reader has some investment to the character but not so much that the story feels lacking without that character.
I think Isagi in the second selection was in that golden zone where we had cool moments with him but I wouldn't say Isagi was the face of Blue Lock at that moment, we potentially could have replaced Isagi with Naruhaya and Blue Lock may would still be as good as it is now if not better, of course, I know this is just my speculation and it's just as likely that readers of Blue Lock would just drop the Manga and ruin what would have been an amazing story as it is now.
This whole idea is hard to pull off successfully but I do think if you execute the idea in the prime circumstances, you could make a story moment that makes that story stand out as something unique.
At least it's fun to think about at the very least.

If naruhaya had won I definitely wouldn’t have continued the manga plus he definitely wouldn’t have reached where isagi is now that’s just yall opinion sure he pointed out a few things about isagi but off the ball movement is something everyone knows don’t see how isagi didn’t know which made me baffled that someone had to point that out to him and the one that was close to ending his career was actually barou if he didn’t have barou they wouldn’t have been able to put up a fight

Naruhaya was a good character for that match but he really does not have the smarts to be on Isagi's level.
They seem similar but Isagi has a massive Football IQ, the dude outsmarted Rin during that same 2nd selection, Naruhaya was never that smart.

I just don't see naruhaya going far, even if he manages to win against isagi.
Simply put; Naruhaya is just average; and even worse yet, he doesn't have the hunger to be no.1 that isagi has.
He'll probably get hard carried by baro and nagi, and get disqualified later on when they face other strong opponents like kunigami's team.
