Not so long ago, during the pandemic I discovered Columbo. My father was watching it and when I asked who was that clumsy but quite charming man in the old raincoat, he said: "Well, that's Columbo, my favorite detective series, watched it in your age. I just fell in love with the character, the series is truly a masterpiece for all time and all ages. The great actor brought his personality to the character and made him look lively, that kind smiling face is just unforgettable. But knowing the fact that such a happy family broke up, and a loving daughter you are was not allowed to take care of your father... It just wounds me. Thank you for sharing those photos! Not a stalker, but when I had business in Los Angeles (from my mid-20's), I would drive down Roxbury imagining seeing your Dad or Lucy walking down the street! My wife and I recently watched today, Saturday, June 13th, 2020 an episode of Columbo where your amazing and highly intelligent Daddy solved the case from a man's bite and teeth impression from a piece of cheese and a piece of gum - simply amazing and great sleuth detective work where even the criminal was amazed that Mr. Columbo solved the case by a bite of his leftover cheese. The last words in this episode are the criminal saying "All from a bite of cheese!!!" My Wife for Life and I's favorite love-story-Hollywood-blockbuster Movie is with your Father Mr. Peter Michael Falk reading a bedtime story to his grandson in the movie Fred Savage "The Princess Bride!" I just happened to see the Twilight Zone episode where your dad plays the irascible and paranoid Ramos Clemente, and couldn't help notice his already signature cigar-in-mouth. The way he spoke with that thing in his mouth is priceless. If I said I've watched every Columbo episode 20 times would be an understatement. I could go on and on, but will sum it up simply to say Peter Falk is an indelible character in my mind and heart and will be so for life. He is alive and well in our memories!

After seeing it, I remember thinking how I wished they'd make more of these movies with that detective - then voila, the Columbo series, and I was hooked. Truly a Columbo fanatic , along with millions of other fans, I salute Peter Falk Forevermore! In Russia, people really like the "Columbo" and greatly respect Peter Falk for his great contribution to the cinema! In my childhood, “Columbo” was shown on the main channel of the country on the weekend. After 20 years, I am revising the series.
Lovely couple. I loved your dad as Columbo. Used to watch them growing up with my family. In the UK there was a series of magazines out every Month on a Columbo episodes with the DVD. If ever I see a Columbo episode is coming on I always tune in to watch. my daughter says Oh no not Columbo again, you must of seen this one 50 times, Even i have watched it at least 10, the college kids did it using a gun their car a remote locking device and a miniature TV camera. LOL and I will rewatch it another 50 times.
Goldwing Channel And in Budapest, Hungry. In 2011 I took a tour, and they have his statue with his exact likness, along with his hound dog, that he adoringly called "Dog". Peter Falk hemmoraged talent. I know I didn't know him, but I really have the feeling I did. That is one person I would have given anything just to meet once. I wish he had stayed with his first wife. I record all the Columbo's, but ever since I heard about how awful the second wife was, I delete those episodes. The old episodes are the best. The role was "Taylor Made" for him. What I find amazing is that after all that success, not a drop of concete. Quite a guy.
No age limit on those who loved Peter Falk's Columbo role....I think because we all have someone close to us who reminds us of Columbo. Annoying brilliance.....my father used to say he wasn't intelligent so he had to muddle through everything, but the things he muddled his way through!!! The tenacity.....when most would quit on a puzzle after an hour or two, or a day or two, my father would go for days or even weeks, waking in the middle of the night and grabbing scrap paper and making flowcharts or writing algebraic expressions out.....never giving up. instead of going through all of his movies which can be found online, I will just say that MAN, he had so many great roles.....incredibly diverse roles!!! He is always remembered for Columbo, and if that was all he did, he would be a great actor, but there was so much more!!

In Russia, people really like the "Columbo" and greatly respect Peter Falk for his great contribution to the cinema! In my childhood, “Columbo” was shown on the main channel of the country on the weekend. After 20 years, I am revising the series.

Lovely couple. I loved your dad as Columbo. Used to watch them growing up with my family. In the UK there was a series of magazines out every Month on a Columbo episodes with the DVD. If ever I see a Columbo episode is coming on I always tune in to watch. my daughter says Oh no not Columbo again, you must of seen this one 50 times, Even i have watched it at least 10, the college kids did it using a gun their car a remote locking device and a miniature TV camera. LOL and I will rewatch it another 50 times.

Goldwing Channel And in Budapest, Hungry. In 2011 I took a tour, and they have his statue with his exact likness, along with his hound dog, that he adoringly called "Dog". Peter Falk hemmoraged talent. I know I didn't know him, but I really have the feeling I did. That is one person I would have given anything just to meet once. I wish he had stayed with his first wife. I record all the Columbo's, but ever since I heard about how awful the second wife was, I delete those episodes. The old episodes are the best. The role was "Taylor Made" for him. What I find amazing is that after all that success, not a drop of concete. Quite a guy.
No age limit on those who loved Peter Falk's Columbo role....I think because we all have someone close to us who reminds us of Columbo. Annoying brilliance.....my father used to say he wasn't intelligent so he had to muddle through everything, but the things he muddled his way through!!! The tenacity.....when most would quit on a puzzle after an hour or two, or a day or two, my father would go for days or even weeks, waking in the middle of the night and grabbing scrap paper and making flowcharts or writing algebraic expressions out.....never giving up. instead of going through all of his movies which can be found online, I will just say that MAN, he had so many great roles.....incredibly diverse roles!!! He is always remembered for Columbo, and if that was all he did, he would be a great actor, but there was so much more!!
