Would have been great if he walked off stage after his interview and came back saying, ......”Now,.......there’s just one more thing”
“Oh, uh, Conan? Sorry to bother ya, just one thing I can’t quite wrap my head around...”
RIP Peter Falk, what a legend. Columbo is still the best detective series ever.
this guy knows how to tell a story, such timing
Some say Peter Falk is the greatest character actor ever and I would agree
He. Is. The greatest. Actor. In. The. World. I. Watch. Him. Every. Sun. At. 800. I. Love. Him. And. I. Always. Will
Love. You. Peter. Falk...always. will.
I'm totally addicted to watching Columbo. Even all the ones i've seen. Never tire of Columbo.
"Just one more thing" --- Peter Falk as Columbo was priceless.
Peter Falk has another great story about his glass eye that happened when he was young that involved legendary jazz pianist Art Tatum. Art was blind in his left eye and had limited vision in his right eye. To give you a sense of how great a jazz pianist Art was, Vladimir Horowitz, one of the greatest classical pianists of all time, and who was a friend of Art's, once remarked, “If Art Tatum took up classical music seriously, I’d quit my job the next day.” Anyway, one evening, Peter was supposed to go with friends to see Art Tatum perform. But Peter said he couldn't go because he misplaced his glass right eye. His friends told him not to worry because nobody would notice he was lacking an eye in a dark jazz club. Plus, they would help him search for it later. As Peter told the story, "When it got too late and the place emptied, the five of us stood around the piano listening to Tatum play. Art liked his gin and usually had a jigger within reach. At one point he slid the jigger in my direction, saying, 'Help yourself.' "I lifted the jigger and then I noticed something at the bottom of the glass - my glass eye! Those sons of bitches had stolen my eye and set me up. I can still see Tatum laughing."
Younger Columbo or older Columbo....both are great. Terrific actor
One of the greatest detectives of all time! Columbo! Busted the best in the movie business that guest starred on the show! RIP Peter Falk, you are truly missed!!!
A true television legend
Columbo’s fantastic too 😉😉😉
Watched some Columbo a few months ago. Dawned on me that is was a better show than any modern TV series
So, I'm not one of those people who always claims everything was better when I was a kid... and truth be told, I wasn't even born when Columbo originally aired... but I grew up watching the re-runs and when the show came back in the late 80's, I remember watching those with my dad... and well... you are 100% right. Our family has been re-watching Columbo on Peacock and to heck if it really wasn't one of the best shows ever made! And it holds up... the humor and "personality" of the show is timeless. Even if the style is from the 70's, 80's or 90's, I never find myself thinking about it... because it was so well written and Peter Falk was absolutely brilliant in that role. I really can't imagine anyone else ever taking that role on... Falk was born to play that part.
It's so much better than the 20 different versions of CSI combined.
If you are reading this and have never had the joy of watching Columbo, fix that ASAP. You won’t regret the time spent, I promise.
I could listen to Peter 24/7... 💕
Look at how good he looks! Wow! He hasnt changed in years!
Peter Falk has the best smile
I could listen to Peter Falk tell stories all year 😂
I love that Conan posts clips with all these great silver screen actors. Peter Falk was a favorite of mine.
"A Friend in Deed" - Columbo, Season 3 episode 8
The greatest episode ever made. Columbo vs the Deputy Police Commissioner.
He's a national treasure too. Columbo was a GREAT show!
Rest in powerful peace Peter Falk⚘

Love columbo! I have the complete series on dvd! I never get tired of watching columbo! It's my all time favorite tv series! Love peter Falk! Such a great actor! He is a icon!!
Peter Falk's stories, and timing, is pure Columbo. He deserved 5 Emmys.
Kids today claim everybody they like is a " National Treasure".
Here's a real one.
Because you liked him when you were younger? 😀 I agree. He was an international treasure. His work was beloved by people abroad like me.
I'm 48 and I listen the real voice of Peter Falk only now. I watched him daily on Italian tv on "Ispettore Colombo" a very beloved show in Italy for the whole 80's.
He has almost the same voice of the italian version. Wow. They really did a great job choosing the right actor to dub him.
At the same time tough I discovered that the real character was named "Columbo" and not "Colombo". Strange choice since "Columbo" was already a good last name in Italy too. Weird.
Omg... that's hilarious! What a humble, nice gentleman!🌟
such a cool guy. I mean he just ooozed coolness. Everyones favorite grandpa too.
I saw him at Universal Studios in the dining room. The thing is, I was sitting and waiting for my friend to show. So I'm watching the door, and about at the right time, Falk walks in instead. He stopped and gazed around looking for HIS friends, and he had all the gestures and body language of Columbo. Like, exactly. He was about this age, and I thought he might have merged the character with his own personality. Later I stopped at his table and said hello, and he was very gracious.
LOVED PETER WHAT A CLASS ACT!!
What a lovely man.
The man's mannerisms just scream "COLUMBO"
The only thing he changes to transform from Peter Falk to playing Columbo is slip on the rumpled overcoat. 😄.
Loved him. He was great in Murder by Death
R.I.P. Peter Falk.😢
I adored Peter Falk.
Still Watch Columbo all the time!
Man that guy is really great! I remember when i was young, theare was un amazing series i believe, which he was a detective... i was obsesed with that series ,remembering waching it every night with my family. I have to Google it
By the way Columbo, give me my pen back... 😁... Best Dedectiv ever!
Mr Faulk is great.
I watch Columbo very frequently, and a lot of times I forget he has a glass eye. This is silly, but in the thumbnail image of the Emmys with wigs, I thought it looked like afghan hounds.
"... ayind it was a bayid cauwll." I met him in '99 and he was just like this, very cogenial and genuine. He left me with the impression that he didn't have to do too much acting to play Columbo. He was Columbo.
I know he only had a small part but we have to talk about him in Princess Bride😍
Thank you, yes! He is a bit before my time but I recognised his voice immediately and couldn’t place it until you mentioned he was in Princess Bride- one of my favourite movies as a kid!
He was something so great
Just finished watching my boy.One of the true greats R.I.P
Love my Columbo every Saturday night..
.
Straight up class act! RIP!
Peter Falk is just the best
the real life Inspector Columbo of the LAPD sometimes used to play a civilian character called Peter Falk but you never saw Columbo and Falk in the same room together.
I love him from "Murder By Death" foremost, but also "The Cheap Detective", "Princess Bride", and "Columbo".
I love these early morning Late Night clips
1:56 That's Columbo right there, that's probably why people laughed😂
Peter Falk's story about his wife and the Emmys sounded just like a story Columbo would tell about his wife.
What a legend 🐐
😍😍😍Wow. How ironic for me. I was searching on UA-cam and decided to search his interviews and came across the full interview of this Conan interview when it aired back then and watched it entirely and now weeks later or just about a month later, we get this. Thank you Team Coco.🥰🥰🥰
The wigs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wanted to hear more of Conan’s favourite movies. I’ve not seen any of those he mentioned:)
I would say my three favorite movies of his were A Woman Under the Influence, Husbands, and Wings of Desire
Grandissimo Tenente Colombo, quanto ci manca
The eye joke might be one of the best things ever.
Columbo is the coolest character ever
Peter don't forget to tell Alan "SERPENTINE!!!"
Love Columbo 🤗🤗🤗🥰
The one the only the classic Peter Falk God be good to him
That’s so crazy, I just watched an episode of Columbo yesterday for my history of tv class
This is soooo faunny and his facepalm... oh man!
My favourite Falk film 'murder by death', soo funny
Great to have a spouse who keeps you grounded. These are just "actors" and shouldn't be worshipped.
I grew up watching those 70s private detective series. Colombo, Cannon, McMillian and Wife and Rockford Files.
My favorite movie of his is Murder by Death.
you gotta love this man- rip
Rest in Peace, Mr. Falk. 🙏🏻🤍💐
Love watching Columbo.....
I've got an old raincoat just like his.
Absolute legend 🙏🏾❤
It's funny😂 He thought that Conan is not going to plug and start plugging by himself
So cute the wigs
Funny and nice
Well Mrs. Columbo was always a rational woman! 😄
2:54 "Do you know I am" Jerry Seinfeld.
Я его обожаю-преобожаю!!Светлая память Питеру Фальку!Вот бы этот ролик с переводом.
I hear he had one more question to his wife.
love columbo
Princess Bride!
All my life, I never knew he had a glass eye
Falk wasn't acting when he played Columbo. The way he face palmed his face when he realized his wife was using his Emmys as a wigrag was something Columbo would do
Columbo’s a legend.
One more thing ☝️
This is too f...funny. R.i.P. Peter Falk...
Conan The Legend
Sundays with Columbo.... Yeah
I love "A woman under the influence".
Falk wears a great hairpiece
Wings of Desire (1987)
Pardon me sir. My wife just loves the Emmys. It would mean the world to her if you could just sign this. I don't mean to bother you it's just she's your biggest fan. I've got a pen around here somewhere
Boa Tarde, esse ator fabuloso e talentoso. Adorei o vídeo.
Peter Falk and George Carlin are my two favorite celebrities.
Why they are posting old episodes all the time now and no one new? :/
Peter Falk is the greatest detective actor of all time... sorry lieutenant actor
The in Laws is a Fantastic Comedy. Mikey & Nicky is one of the best gangster films, and buddy films. Such a good portrayal of the tragedy of toxic masculinity. It’s one of the first films to be written and directed by a woman : The Amazing Elaine May, who based it on the neighborhood she grew up in.
I will never get bored of watching episodes of Columbo
Third comment 🥉
Impossible to get bored. I watch them on the regular
Falk's Colombo character was so endearing and down to earth...best cop show ever.
They’re so good even all these years later.
"And one more thing".........I agree!
