I own several businesses and have a very similar spirit to Chalene. I'm 60 and I've gained a lot of wisdom, experience and calmness during my lifetime. There are not a lot of good things that come with aging, but I'm so glad I don't have the fears, insecurities and anxiety that a lot of younger people have.
Even though she doesn't know me, Chalene has been my mentor and personal rock star for over a decade! My husband and I have built many businesses based on her guidance and this year we launched our most authentic endeavor ever. She is LEGIT. Great interview, Omar. It can be challenging to interview a Queen but you did good! lol Much love.
Omar, I so desperately needed this interview today 😮💨 I’ve been praying and asking God to help figure out what to do first in my business, and then y’all threw in the things with family….with me being a wife and a mom of 3 kids…man that’s was something. This made me think of so much and I’m so grateful for you and Chalene 🤍💕🫶🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
same and I also resonate with the adhd, never been diagnosed, but that is exactly how I operate. I'm very skilled and also have great ideas but my focus just jumps and I do not like small talk or boring things. I saw this because I was looking for personal branding videos to rebrand. Thank you both for this
I loooove that she said to take advantage of hiring part time virtual assistants AND to treat them as humans, get to know them AND their culture if they are in another country. She also said to pay them well! What an abundant worldview! What a model for all bosses!😃
I love how Chalene explains marketing like being honest with a friend, including the "anti-sell". I hate "sales", but love honest "chat with a friend" marketing. 🙌
I so love this conversation, I stayed the whole time. I gained a year worth of new knowledge in an hour of listening to you guys. Tip my hat to this two amazing people Chalene and Omar.
I'm 70% through this podcast, and it's just awesome. So much helpful Info! What Chalene said about long-form content, VA, and advertising - just 🔥 Great Job Omar, thanks! (subscribed)
Oh my gosh, Chalene! I can’t believe how much this resonated with me. I think between this and the other interview you did with Omar, you have just changed my life. This day, while scrubbing the bathroom, which was dirty enough for me to listen to both videos--this is the moment I will look back on as my turning point. Thank you thank you thank you.
This was a great episode! Love both you but hadn’t realized you both had podcasts so I’m a new subscriber to both. This one definitely deserves a few more listens, so many nuggets of gold in here. Thank you again!
Really love that Chalene mentions VAs are real people - connect with them, treat them well. I hear so many conversations around VAs and so many treating them the same as they would ChatGPT or Siri
So much wisdom and honesty in this interview with Chalene Johnson, Omar! I gleaned a lot of takeaways from you both - especially about that it's gotta be about putting family first. Great job!
Amazing interview Omar. I admire Chalene and how she has evolved with her personal brand. I just started following your podcast and your UA-cam channel. Great work my friend!
Only 5 min in and this is very valuable but what still confuses me is that some people say niche down but other successful people say don’t. For instance Dan Koe and Gary Vee both say you are your niche. And that it makes you more interesting when you don’t niche down. So it seems it can work both ways if you are strategic.
Tempting but can you share an example of someone who became known for "all things" ? I can't. Eventually the big names get to that place but the surest way is to first be known for one thing.... Read the book "Being Known"
@@chalenejohnson11 yeah Dan Koe has this video “Niching down is horrible advice for smart people” and he makes some good points. And it’s Not all things, it’s just talking about what interests you but then niching down on a product, but not the content.
There's so much context you have to take into account. Certain platforms prefer there to be a level of consistency with your content so they can best serve the audience. At the end of the day, if you're building a business, you want to be known for something. If people can't decipher that, you'll have a hard time selling something.
@@OmarEltakrori Right but I think what someone like Dan is saying is, if you sell something lets say sell coffee beans and want to talk about your fitness journey as well, there are other people out there that like coffee and fitness. You might be able to connect the two in a creative way. It makes you more of a person because people have multiple interests and the audience can see the person as human and not just a coffee selling robot.
I think that most of the people that follow this channel will be interested in this type of interview. When I found your videos I was searching for information for my channel. Watch your informative video in how to fo thumbnails. Now this pop up in my feed and here I am. I not just watch the video I also subscribed to your channel. Thank you for this great content and your excellent job as a moderator. 🎤❤️
Thank you Omar and Charlene…❤❤so many gold nuggets. Using industry expert snippets to include and speak off of in podcasts!,,whoa! And industry is changing…I am just now, Wednesdays Jan 17 beginning a done with you service, because I too realized as a digital marketing agency owner, it’s changing too fast to create a course that people can watch, because it’s evolving so quickly…and finally, long form content is a refuge where we can slow down…Charlene loved your comment “it’s like a seizure”…do it…it will be messy and in the mess we find the path. Thank you
This is a great interview. I started my channel, and I really just want to be myself. I want ppl to identify with things about me, not that I appear to be somebody else. Building a brand is definitely a task. I thank God for creating me to do what I'm supposed to do.....my own lane. 😊
Such a fantastic episode 👏🏽 I love all the nuggets of wisdom she dropped. Currently, I'm looking to work on my personal brand but I have no idea what my niche should be. I'll definitely listen to more of Chalene's words.
Teach Chalene!!! I thought that it wss only me!!! I thought that there was something going on with me. This earth is abundantly rich with God''s blessings!!! He wouldn't have made all of us differently if He meant for us to be robots...
I love this quote from this podcast. “Because the weight of your potential is heavy”. I often feel like I am not living up to my potential. I think it Socrates that had some thoughts on metaphysics. And the main idea was that to have potential you cannot currently have that trait. So, there must be something that humans have inherently have that is nothing, but could become anything. I think that is a soul. So when I hear that quote I think that not living up to your potential weight hard on your soul. And it definitely feels like that sometimes.
