  • Hokkien is a dialect of Min Nan Chinese spoken in southern Fujian, Taiwan, and by many overseas Chinese throughout Southeast Asia. It is closely related to Teochew, though mutual comprehension is difficult.

    Hokkien sould never die. To hear a new dialect in chinese in my life is so new.

      Hokkien isn't a dialect of Chinese, it's a whole separate language! I totally agree with you, it should never die. I love the sound of it and am so mad at the Chinese government and so many other governments for intentionally killing their regional languages.

    Sound much better than my hainan. Hainan sound awful, even worst than teochew. We understand hokkien and teochew but thet don't understand us at all.
