After weeks of delay, I finally managed to record my piano cover of one of the most iconic Kill la Kill soundtracks: Before my Body is dry (more known as DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY)
This piece was a real challenge to transcribe and I've edited the transcription numereous times until I was completely satisfied. My first draft for this piece was only 1:50 long, and it consisted the first chorus only. But then I decided to make a "full version" after all.
Instead of copy pasting the chorus again, I wrote a variation of the second chorus. I experimented with many different piano techniques for this sheet, therefore, its difficulty is pretty high. I think this transcription ranks among my top 10 most difficult transcriptions I ever made. Especially the massive high speed octave slashing in the end is a real challenge for every pianist.
As mentioned earlier on facebook, I cut out the "rapping part" from the original track and replaced it with my own transition. (I used the same method for my Euterpe piano sheet, lol)
Fun fact: this piece is played 80% on black keyes because it has 7 accidentals (e-flat minor)
Last but not least, congratulation to Hiroyuki Sawano for delivering another amazing soundtrack after Shingeki no Kyojin and Guilty Crown. He know how to create a adrenaline-pumped atmosphere with his compositions.
For some reason, my most difficult piano covers I ever made are soundtracks composed by him. Coincidence?

Y'know, I thought a lot about suicide in the last two months. If I'm here, is thanks to you Animenz. During the bad moments, I always took this video and sang the lyrics of the original track in my head. I don't know why, but this song always put a smile on me and makes me want to keep going on. And this happens especially when I hear this piano cover.

This transcription is just... So... Intense. Skillful. Difficult. Complex. Beautiful. Amazing... to name a few.
This seriously pushes the player to their full extent. Whoever manages to play this truly must need to be a master at the piano.

This was a great series. Fresh compared to most. It had a true climax and resolution. Twists even. But the music and how it was timed made it that much better. Haha I cried when her kamui died. Don't lose your way is a very emotional. It's like it's being sung to you and the characters. Long live good anime.

My1 The Op. that they are using is short for Opus, which i believe refers to a "group" of works created by that composer.

I just love the sound of piano, and the left hand can accompany the right hand while the right hand place the melody, I don't know any other instrument that can do that.

It's been so long since I've played piano, after watching you (and a few other youtubers) I want to start paying again. The reason I quit was do to the fact that my teachers picked boring songs, and now I'm going to start teaching myself to play, thank you for transposing some awesome pieces. I'll probably do an edit to some of them to make them easier for a beginner, then add parts back as I get better. Thanks again for helping me find the want to play again!
This anime reminds me of Gurren Lagann, Panty and Stocking and Fooly Cooly. It has the over the top fan service like Panty and Stocking, an action story line and fights from Gurren Lagann and epic catchy tunes that go with everything and deserve their own genre (Row Row Fight The Power!) and has great cast of characters, as well as being funny and quirky at times similar to Fooly Cooly.(Mako and Haruko). Its something that Gainax would have done in spades, but Trigger brought us an anime that will stand as 2013's most entertaining anime, even though it has its flaws and the true top hit for anime 2013 was AOT.
Well some of the people who worked on Gurren Lagann worked on Kill la kill so of course it's awesome ^-^
nonon and haruko has the same voice actor and they both have pink hair.
The writer and producer for gurren lagaan wrote the scripts and produced kill la kill and basically rinsed and repeated alot of gurren lagaab storyline...
AkiraNasuki it's mindless fun, and I enjoyed them both personally, it's just their thing :P

Kill la kill is my favourite anime, has been for two years now, and I won’t ever replace it. It will always be my favourite. I’m in the middle of watching it for the 17th time😂 also space patrol luluco is such a great sequel. I adore both but there will always be a special place in my heart for ryuko. This piece just brings in a whole wave of emotions: sadness for the ending of the series, pride for the characters that fought to live peaceful lives. If I could make this the theme song to my life I would, because it makes me so confident in my abilities and for my life. I can't thank you enough. The best works of art challenge people to think deeply about different messages in life.
