you should bypass the throttle body coolant lines and connect them together, you don't want hot water going through it unless you live in Alaska, and it adds HP.
Where does the air diverter valve go and what do each of the hoses connect to? I’ve looked everywhere no one has an answer for me and I really need the help. Thank you🙏🏼
I’m in the process of doing the same thing to an ’87. My question is about the vacuum lines. Since the A/C, Air Pump and associated relays, switches etc. have been removed, where do the vacuum lines go? I know the fuel pressure regulator, brake booster and cruise control need vacuum, but are there other items that need it also to run the car properly? AND, what is used as a source for those lines? Brake booster and cruise control come from the rear of the intake, I believe. The Pressure regulator comes from the small nipple on the lower passenger side of the intake. What else am I missing?
Sir, at 2:30 you can see 2 open air lines. I know the top one goes to the passenger side exhaust manifold, but where does the bottom one go? I cant seem to figure out how to remove it. Any help would be great.
@@scottatchameleongarage1583 Im putting in a new water pump on my 85 and i decided to remove the smog stuff. theres one long vacuum line that went from the regulator all the way to the diverter valve someone said they just plugged it with a screw.
I have a couple of questions if you have a minute.. 1) did you have to change belts? 2) Did you cap the lines going to the exhaust manifold and Cats? If you did with what? Thanks bro.
Yes I had to go to a shorter belt. Yes I had to cap the lines from the exhaust manifold. I used a bolt for now...... Yes I know its not right. Eventually I will either go to headers that do not have those or cut off and weld up the manifolds I have now.

Just bought an 89 c4 and did that
You shouldnt have to buy shorter belt i used factory belt fits perfectly

where did you buy your delete kit at?

What about the wires
I zip tied them out of the way. I have had no issues with it since installing.
I bought it on ebay. derby city corvette. if I remember right. it was about $130
What did you do with the vacuum line that went to the fuel pressure regulator?
Nothing. I believe that line goes from the regulator to the intake manifold. I have an adjustable fuel regulator but I haven't installed it yet.

What size were the brass caps you put on the manifolds?
@@TheSturmmorser2000 I think I just pulled the line and capped at the intake.
@@TheSturmmorser2000 they were about 1 inch. I can't remember. And have since put stainless headers on.

thank you. I have done that.
What did you do with the electric connection ???
Taped off and zip tied it back out of the way.
What size belt did it end up taking?
part number 6PK2195 865K6
thanks I got one!
You probably could have just bypassed the pump with the shorter belt and called it a day with the same results..
