just a minor correction to this amazing presentation:1030 - 1090 Mhz belongs to the UHF band and not the SHF band which actually starts at 3 Ghz (3000 Mhz) to 30 Ghz (30000 Mhz).

Is it possible just to have WiFi backhaul aerials in each aircraft, have them all programmed on the same network, it auto connect on whenever the same network that is present, they all have their own mac address, each aircraft will be able to send and receive data etc location speed altitude and an on board collision avoidance (not the aerial operating system on chip)

What may cause the TCAS to display the transponder bus red light when the aircraft is switched on and off when operating with two mode s transponders?
