I work in the industry, most of the cost comes from packaging and not the product (aka the formula). The formula can be excellent but inexpensive. You'll be SURPRISED how cheap luxury perfumes are....but that packaging...is very expensive. Companies do that because the package is the first thing you see and the first reason why you want to buy the product. Who wants to buy the ugly bottle of hair conditioner??? Lol.
But the way dollar stores work is to choose cheap packaging which keeps the cost down A LOT, but the actually formula is really good.

Jess your wash n go came out super cute, it's so nice and fluffy 😍!!! Some people sleep on Dollar Tree stuff, but they do have some products that are actually good, especially if you're on a tight budget. I did a wash n go with the Lusty Argan Oil Leave-in and Olive Oil Gel and my wash n go lasted for a full week.
I used that orange gel when I first went natural, definitely gonna have to try the green now! I almost used a whole jar of Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink on my last wash and go and I can't be spending that kind of money very week LOL
I have used this for my 4c natural hair for over 2 years! I am very happy with IT!

Lusti was the first brand I used. The detangling spray and hair sheen is good too. Have you tried Bella Curls yet? The deep conditioner is bae for me. I also like Softeé gels. I like the protein, argan oil, and olive oil versions. These I get either from Family Dollar or Dollar General. You should also try Daily Defense 3 min treatment. It's at Dollar Tree.

Lusti does an edge control, found at Dollar Tree, that is the only thing that actually lay my 4c wiry hair down. Love the results, Jess. and no crunchiness. great vid!

Yes I use the argon gel, have the olive but not used it yet. I use the argon gel with a little oil first to prevent dryness, my hair looks great when I’m done.

Girl I use the luster’s curl wave gel. It’s the goldish color next to that green gel in the store. Man it’s in my hair in the thumbnail. And then I throw some oil in it once it’s dry. Shine and defined. Love that gel.

Alot of people don't care about ingredients and they don't follow the curly girl method. That's just what it is. This product falls in line with people who fit either of those categories. You might not fit it, and that's fine, but some do. Respect that and move on. Have a great month.

I buy the VO5 shampoo and condish from Dollar Tree all the time and have also tried a couple leave-ins from there. But, haven’t been brave enough to try a styler. I will now tho!

I stumbled onto Lusti a few years ago and was shoook...I love ❤ 😍🥰 the Lusti's Aragan Moisture Triple Strength and Aragan Gel to define my curls without the crunch!!
It worked amazing on my colored hair and literally kept it moisturized; I was telling everybody to go to Dollar Tree too!

That dollar tree gel I will try, you should try the matching Leave in Conditioner. I have 3C hair and WOW I was so surprised I buy 6 bottles at a time. Even the Edge control it leaves a nice conditioning shine. Great on my natural hair, and my wigs.
There are 4 products 1 dollar each. Shampoo leave in condition, conditioner, and curl stretch. I love them!

Gurlll the top of your hairs is exactly like mine, I thought that I had damaged my hair because the curl pattern (which there is practically no curl at all) is so limp and weird and that’s why I have stayed away from wash and go’s but this is honestly giving me hope

Great video, but I'd like to see is how it held up for the rest of the week say three or four days later. Did it leave a dull cast as the style got older? Did it go ashy or did you have to add oil? Did it dry out forget tangly or gummy later on? Basically did the look hold up long-term? 🧐

I use the Lusti edge control I got from Dollar Tree. I can never find it anymore; but it is literally THE BEST. You can still find it on Ebay cheap ..but I need to find the gel!! 😭💛
I couldn't find the edge control for over a year and when I did I bought 10. The softee brand edge control is the next best thing. I have two girls with shoulder. Length hair. I love using it on shmedium two stand twists
