My name is Aleks and in this video I give you my thoughts on the new 2022 Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in green with the reference number 210.32.42.20.10.001 (steel bracelet with ref. no. 210.32.42.20.10.001)
In this video you'll get a very honest review about the popular Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in green. I've never really been a fan of this particular model (unpopular opinion), however the green colourway released this year really caught my attention.

Whats your take on the Seamaster 300?
I think if people don't like the helium escape valve, hands, or bracelet it's not the watch for them. Omega makes alot of options for diver watches. This watch is a rendition of a very classic famous watch and if they take away these things it won't be the same watch. People want a newer, better version of the 1994 Seamaster. A tapered bracelet would be nice for comfort but the second the bracelet changes or hands are modified this watch loses the nostalgia which makes it to popular.

I'm considering selling mine and it's only been 2 months, I rarely wear it and I'm not so fond of the bracelet .
Very happy with mine ☺️ got it on a bracelet first couldn't stand it sold the bracelet
and got it on a rubber strap a lot more comfortable
Great watch on a rubber strap and more stealth wealth people less likely to notice it on a rubber strap compared to a bracelet
Which one do you have? Blue, black, grey, white one? Do you like the watch? You can get a rubber, nato, or leather strap to change it up.
I thought of getting a smp 300m diver, but got a Speedy instead on an alligator leather as I prefer to wear leather on my watches.
Omega over Rolex any day of the week.
The smp300 is pound for pound one of the best watches you can buy. I bought one last year because I got fed up of chasing a sub. It's all round the best watch I'll ever own
I have a sub. Just bought a seamaster. I think I like the seamaster (PO) a little more.

@@kofiofosu9051 cool I like the 42mm, I have a black PO43.5 and white SMP300. SMP is much easier to wear, so have it on my wrist most of the time. Still want a Sub

This is such a stunning piece. I saw one at the AD and I couldn’t take my eyes of it. Im buying this exact spec this week.
It’s funny how we all like different things in life. I’ve seen the Rolex submariner‘s band for so long that it just reminds me of a 60s watchband and the Omega watch band is a lot more modern and especially the new bands are just absolutely to die for! The quality is unbelievable and the where on your wrist is just incredible because being 20 mills across it spreads the load all the way across your wrist. i’ve also never understood how guys complain that it doesn’t narrow down to 18 mm because I don’t wear my watch hanging down onto my pole I wear it up on my wrist and when I bend my wrist the watch band doesn’t jam up so I don’t understand it the van have to get narrower effect. Anyway I just would like you to compare that metal band to any other band on the market and I’ll guarantee you the design of it and the quality of it is as good as any watchband you’ll ever find.

Funny hearing that some people don’t like this model. I think, with any dial colour, it is a fantastic watch. Nothing in life is perfect, and no watch is perfect. It is just a case of how close to perfect can you get? I think omega did very well with this watch and it’s certainly the best watch in their line up in terms of value.
Picked up this watch in blue with steel bracelet, I really like it a lot, the HEV doesn’t bother me, and I like the bracelet also, don’t get what the problem is with it not tapering down because other watches you can see the taper but you can’t feel it so it doesn’t matter, I’ve been checking the accuracy, so far it’s been 0.3 of a second fast per day that’s less then half a second per day, a lot of watch for the $$$.
you dont feel the taper BECAUSE THERE IS TAPER, when you wear a 22mm throughout bracelet, you going to feel it
Great video my friend, I own the new Rolex black Sub41, Tudor new Rootbeer GMT, new Omega speedmaster Chronoscope Panda, Omega NTTD Bond 300m Seamaster, IWC Portugieser 150th Aniversary blue and this new Seamaster Green is getting all the wrist time.. The light play is mesmerizing and I just love the solid feel holding it, I have it on the bracelet and love it, for me it wouldn't be a Omega 300m without the sword hands and the helium escape valve, I wouldn't mind if it had a little taper to the classic bracelet, it's like you said.. it is what it is!.. A stupendous piece of functional artwork. To me, the bracelet has always looked the part on the seamaster.
the Helium valve and that bracelet is what makes this SMP a SMP.
I paused and studied the mock up without the valve at 8:23 , it instantly looks like some microbrand copy. In fact it becomes the Tag Heuer Aquaracer which is basically a barely-disguised copy of the SMP. Don't believe? go to the boutique and look it up. Especially that white dial black bezel one.
Likewise that watch looks immediately ordinary with that tapered bracelet. I can buy this watch for $250.
The silhouette, the deliberate and unashamedly retro design is what gives this watch its character. It is like remaking a car from the 90s, with modern quality and technology under the hood.
If one is going to force his/her own preference (nothing wrong with preferences) onto this watch and wish for it to suit him, then it is not for him. It is something that one needs to appreciate at a deeper level, with a more open mind. Especially when it seems to be wrong at so many place at the surface. But we should be more than surface.
Love the colourway… I totally agree with everything you’ve highlighted… but I could overlook them as the colour is stunning.

I 100% agree with you about the bracelet being hideous. I have the white dial version and I've had it on a nato strap for as long as I've owned it. That is until I got tired of the nato strap and put it back on its original metal bracelet. Then I forced myself to wear it for a week and I gotta tell you: The steel bracelet DOES grow on you. And now I love it haha

I got the reissue of the Brosnan Bond watch 2222.80. It is 36mm. I agonized for almost a year to decide. Price had a lot to do with it. The bracelet is beautiful and very comfortable! I don't like green as a watch, but it is so dark it looks black most of the time. I don't really like the escape valve, but I pretend it is a remote detonator! 🙂
Own new Green SM 300 Professional Chronometer. Bought with the bracelet and changed out at Omega Boutique for green rubber strap. Love it better than my Panerai Luminor Marina but i like big dial watches.
Enjoyable review. Fun hearing likes and dislikes, since we all have an opinion.The watch seems to fit ok on your wrist, so don't think you have a problem there unless its more a comfort issue. I think the one thing Omega nailed on this watch is the movement, even though it does seem a little small for the case. Definitely high end on the movement front cause of adjustable mass balance, balance bridge, coaxial movement throtlled down to 25,200 bhp, and good quality finishing for the price. Should be fun to see how long-term these movements wear with all those features.
Thank you for watching and your comment! Agreed that the fit seems allright, especially from the camera POV and not my own POV. However, I’m used to smaller watches and this one is a tad bit too large for my personal preference. As mentioned in the video, 40 or slightly smaller would be a much more wearable size. Agreed regarding the movement, and I think it will hold up just fine in 20-30 years (and more) just like the Rolex workhorse calibers
I will say I have the blue and I will set it and then maybe after 10 days its 5 seconds fast. It's a very accurate movement.

If only they brought over the bracelet from the Pierce Brosnan Seamaster… that one was stylish and very comfortable. Only upgrades to that would be ditching the pin and collar system + adding micro adjustments.
I complete agree. The new bracelet is too long and bulky. The 90’s bracelet is much better
Taper the stainless steel bracelet to make it hug your wrist more comfortably.
I completely agree with you. My 2002 SMP with steel bracelet is the most comfortable watch I've ever worn. I also think it looks a lot better. I also agree on ditching the pin and collar system + adding micro adjustments.

The seamaster is a 42 mm watch and proud to be that. The bracelet is tough for work. It’s a no bs watch all the way round
It just never appealed me until now, to some extent
The helium escape is like those features in someone's face (like the nose) that most people would say "get a plastic surgery and you will look 10 times better" but what people don't realize is that without that specific feature, that person would look just like everybody else.
The helium valve gives the watch it's own and unique character that yes, at the beginning it might not look esthetically pleasant, but once you fall in love with the person (or in this case the watch) you wouldn't trade that feature that makes it unique for anything in the world.
I really like the bracelet very much. Its intricate, beautifully finished and hefty. The clasp could be smaller though.

I love this watch too….the problem is, my 23 year old Seamaster 300M still works like new. I may need to consider selling it to justify a new one.
I think your a little harsh on the Seamaster…almost all the things you dislike is why its such a big seller. But glad you found “one” that you like finally….

I have a Ceramic maxi case Sub which is my weekender, Just got the Green SM with the steel bracelet. for my daily. Myself I like the bracelet, yeah not as refined or good-looking as the Oyster,
but really not bad at all, apparently I am the minority here but I do not care for the green rubber strap. A very solid Wrist watch!
I really like the hands but as you said, we are all different! Would seriously consider this if the bracelet was better and case around 39-40mm 😊.
Interesting... I hate the helium escape valve but do really like the hands. Everyone is so different, hence so many models / brands out there. I love my SMP, very happy with it.

I picked up the blue dial on bracelet, I can't bring myself to pay $500 for the rubber strap so for now it stays on bracelet.
There are so many great rubber alternatives out there nowadays
I like this channel. He was honest although I disagreed on a few areas. He was thorough. I learned more about the watch than others. He didn’t over market his channel. This is my dream watch. I could buy it tomorrow but I would also be risking sleeping on a park bench next month. Can you imagine sleeping in the park with an omega Seamaster diver green. Green is my favorite color. So sick of black faces. The valve is fine gives a more technical look. The size is fine for me. I actually prefer 44/45. Time to go back and dream some more.

This is going to sound crazy but it actually doesn't fit huge. I've got a 16.5cm wrist and the watch is certainly big, but not huge or ridiculous looking.
The dive watch should be bigger .
I just couldn't see the lume on the hands at night without my glasses. Opted out of the SMP and bought a Planet Ocean.
Like the Valve and the hands. Can't please everyone.

Totally agree on the bracelet. Too bad. Looking at seamaster and the new superocean, but will probably end up with Breitling because of the bracelet. Love the bracelet of the new Speedmaster Moonwatch though.

The older Seamaster (circa 2000) hour and minute hands were much nicer.
What I really dislike about the current Seamaster is the position of the date window at 6:00.
I actually prefer the date at 6, blends in nicely imho

There actually is a “no date” version of the Omega Seamaster 300…it’s the ‘ceramic’ model.
More versions are available without a date actually

Omega AD is poorly managing their costumers , not be able to give proper information when the watch will be available.
I was waiting for 4-5 months this watch and two weeks ago asked again...they do not know exactly.
I bought something else...
From what I’ve heard some AD received a couple the last months while some haven’t received it yet.. but yeah I’d probably do the same as you did

I have been wanting to get the white one for so long, Its an excellent watch technically but the dated dial design and hideous bracelet stop me. Maybe one day, Omega can make a more timeless version of this watch, maybe take cues from the Aqua Terra.
Omega released a more vintage inspired Seamaster 300 with a lollipop seconds hand. It is really beautiful in person. I recommend to check it out
@@KLucero22 Yes I quite like it, but it also has some deal breakers due to the lack of date, 19mm lug width, and a far more expensive pricetag. Still, an exquisite piece.
I have mulitple smp's in blue, black and white. The white is my favorite and wear it everyday. The white/black contrast along with the red Seamaster writing on the dial really make this watch pop. I switched from the steel band to the black rubber with deployment buckle, and think the contrast and looks are even better. I love the deployment clasp, it's so smooth to operate and feels expensive. By the way, the rubber strap with deployment buckle is expensive since you can't use the rubber band that would come with the watch. The deployment buckle band has round holes for the round pin in deployment clasp. I've had no buyers remorse with the white faced watch or the expensive deployment clasp and band.
Prefer it to the rolex submariner any day.

If Omega ditched the date, stopped writing a novel on the dial, hid the movement with a solid caseback and the seamonster - then it would be perfect.
Face it, he's a put down artist on Omega.

Beautiful watch, but for that money, the watch needs to be more than that. Improvement on the bracelet and bezel action is mandatory for the next generation
Your mock up just changes the smp300 to a sub. Nobody wants that. The he valve is iconic, and they do have some older midsized seamasters for people with tiny wrists like yours
