Antique Cabinet Makeover + AUCTION HAUL \\ Furniture Flip Before and After

- I know that this antique cabinet makeover looks complicated but thats only because the base (the cabinet) need so much work before I even got to break out the paint. If the cabinet had been cleaned within the past decade and not as beat-up, this project wouldn't have taken nearly as long. It also doesn't help that I am a antique shop owner and kept having to stop to go pickup new antique auction hauls & meet up with Facebook Marketplace buyers. The hand painted detailing can be time consuming but anyone can do it! It looks like diy furniture stencil or a transfer when its done but its not! Its very simple, repetitive and can be done on any piece of furniture to add a little extra character. This was a true trash to treasure furniture makeover. I wanted to say, "I give up!" so many times durning the process BUT the final looks speaks for itself! Next up is a antique settee that will probably be my biggest makeover to date but not before taking my new collection to The Factory Antique Mall for a my new booth reset! The interior cabinet paint is like the old timers who would line trunks, cabinets or armoires with wallpaper to make them fresh and clean. Satin paint makes everything smooth and oh so practical. Congrats!!

I've got an old TV cabinet that I painted white but still kinda hate (in my home) and now I'm thinking that I need to paint the inside and try my hand at your technique....loved it. @@amandasmercantile I've had several booths through the years (I'm 72), but most recently I spent 7 1/2 years in an antique mall in Pensacola, FL that was damaged by hurricane Sally last Sept.and the owners decided to sell rather than repair. Very recently I got a new booth in a nearby town. I do mostly smalls and small furniture....tables, chairs, stools, etc It's definitely a hobby, but it keeps me out of trouble. Except from my husband and the crowded garage!
Hahaha! I know that feeling. That must have a been a huge pain having to close the one down and start new some place else. I haven't had to experience that yet but I can imagine it isn't super fun.

Hey Ashley! Yes! It was the plan to sell it. It actually ended up selling before the project was even done to a follower on Instagram. I sold it for $450.
