Well new subscriber I’m trying to get better at this craft and just happened to come across you and already learned a few things I’m a slow learner so you’ll get a few watches on the same videos I’m a visual learner so will take me a few times to take it in . Anyways thank you your the only one I’ve found that actually teaches in detail like this so .
Thanks so much for the kind and genuine words. I am stoked that my teaching style is lining up with you. Welcome to the Fort and don't be shy on the comments 🤘
@@NicksFort Alright man keep the vids coming . and thank you again .. also you can delete this if you want not trying to plug myself but if you get a chance could you check me out and gimme your honest feedback ? My friends/gf ect wont be straight with me all i get is my vids are good and i honestly dont see that or otherwise id have more ppl there .... thank you ahead of time and only if you got some spare time man .. later
You're welcome :) also I am not like 100% this is the like true name for it...but it's similar to the super zoom in the instagram stories sort of soo yeah? lol anyways welcome to the Fort buddy!
Very Nicely done and informaive. Teaching an old dog new trcks. Not too fast as many others do. Nce delivery. Wish you the best andI support your efforts.
Thanks man comments like this help give me energy to keep going! Criminally underrated, you got me laughing that's great and a first for that comment! Lots of good stuff in the pipeline so pop on notifications if you dig :)
@@NicksFort hahaha maybe underrated wasn't the right word, underexposed maybe? But keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure you'll blow up! Actually you gave my Instagram photography page a story mention once a couple of months ago which was pretty sweet hahaha cheers from Ireland!
Oh I take no offense to the underrated comment; took that as a compliment for sure! Thanks man :) and yeah I like to shout out people when it makes sense!
hey man, I just found your videos. they're great! This is exactly the sort of thing that made me subscribe to Peter McKinnon before he lost his direction and just became an ego. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! You can speed ramp the zoom in post editing so you don't have to zoom that fast actually. And the twist is done in camera. It is actually really easy to hold the zoom ring on the lens and then use your hand on the camera body to twist the camera also cause the zoom to happen. It's easier with the twist in real life than without in my opinion lol
How come, your vids don't have more views? I'm gonna binge them all after I finish with my editing. Much love and thank you for your work! P.S Any ideas how can I apply that if I have on my canon 40 mm lens (without zoom in/out).
lol I am not sure why? But thanks for commenting and hopefully you share my videos with your friends! I think this technique might be hard without a zoom lens. But you should experiment, I'd be interested in seeing if you can figure something out!
Great tut man in every way, ty! But... you are doing something wrong u are misunderstood meaning of Ease IN & Ease OUT it is opposite way of what you did. It corresponds to tangent going out and in to key-frame.
Oh shit! Dude thanks for sharing that. I had no idea. I just read up on the Adobe site and it sounds like it should be the opposite as you have suggested. Ease In: Slows down the value changes entering a keyframe. Ease Out: Gradually accelerates the value changes leaving a keyframe...so you'd want to Ease Out at the beginning of the effect and Ease In at the end of the effect.

Thanks Talon! Appreciate the good vibes and much more to come :)
NicksFort 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Also, any way you could give some tips on how to make a travel vlog better?!
I will think about it and see if I can come up with enough for a tutorial :)
NicksFort that would be amazing!
wow so cool!!! wondering would those would work on phone video
I doubt it would work on a phone, but you should try!
I’m definitely trying this. I’m also going to try prefocusing and just running like a madman at something.... “super duper foot zoom action shot”
BAHAHAHA dude please do. That might take like a million attempts but I wanna see that. Tag me in the results lol
NicksFort definitely require a stabilizer. I actually tried it with my steadicam but theres too much wobble haha
I might not have stressed it enough but for the effect to look good you need a super super smooth zoom which takes practice!
NicksFort haha no I meant for the running thing.
Josh Zaring I believe you in, keep trying lol use a stabilizer I want to see it happen
Cool technique. How fast do you have to zoom? Also to get that twist do you move the camera or do it in post?
Thanks! You can speed ramp the zoom in post editing so you don't have to zoom that fast actually. And the twist is done in camera. It is actually really easy to hold the zoom ring on the lens and then use your hand on the camera body to twist the camera also cause the zoom to happen. i dig this, great tip nick. i dunno if Premiere does radial zoom blur, but if it does that might be a fun layer to add on top of this effect.
love that additional idea B! I also am not 100% sure if the radial blur is in premiere pro but I will look next time I make a super zoom!

Yeah Yeah Yeah, remember the old batman intro with the spinning bat logo on the old adam west tv show. that would be cool tutorial.
Interesting! Yeah I do recall that. I bet that's an After Effects Tutorial thing...I am not to good with After Effects lol
I love your dog, what breed si it?
Finn is a rescue so I am not 100% sure of his breed but you can follow my side project with him: instagram.com/thesearchdog
That was cool, but it would've been great if it was in FCPX :)
Sorry I haven't used Final Cut since they made the big switch (after version 7)
I have Sony a 6300 I set on AFC for this type shot?
You mean for the auto focus?
random question not related, but how did you hang your snowboards on the wall vertical like that?
Just put a story on my instagram explaining it for you Jake :) ===? instagram.com/nicksfort

I realize that I say that phrase kind of often right??

Lo e your dog, what breed si it?
Finn is a rescue so I am not 100% sure of his breed but you can follow my side project with him: instagram.com/thesearchdog
Need the song name from the intro 😮 is it on Epidemic?
Yes sir it's epidemic. It's Tei Ooyy!
NicksFort haha, I thought it sounded like Ooyy. Thanks a bunch!
