5:25 you know hes one of the greatest when a coach askes him what he saw there
He still such an icon in the Carolinas, everyone here loves 59, even the people like me who aren’t panthers fans
He did well Luke you respected the position and the work ethic that comes along with it, guys like you were the reason kids want to grow up in the big headers of big tacklers in the game of football, God bless you and your journey to the Hall of Fame 🍻
Don't care if this causes hate, but he is the best linebacker to ever play the game. No one else was elite in every single facet of the game and defense. HOF no question
Lawrence Taylor. But ya Luke's great
@@onlyicedcrybaby7297 Lawrence Taylor never had to cover wide receivers and call out the plays
Ur forgetting about rey lewis
@@thenickabrams lmao call me when ray isnt an actual murderer. Lawrence Taylor is the only man to even be close to luke all time. Ray is lucky he got babied or hed be in jail right now.
@@onlyicedcrybaby7297 LT would have been referred to as an edge rusher in modern nomenclature, more defensive end than linebacker. Luke was the best pure linebacker.
NFL lawyer: “ due to ongoing lawsuits, we advise you to not make use of the word “concussion” in your upcoming documentary concerning former NFL athlete Luke kuechly.”
Wasn’t exepenting him to retire before Thomas Davis
Real testament to how crazy Thomas Davis is. His career should've ended after his 3rd ACL tear in 2010. Here we are in 2020 and he's still playing lmao
Davis is like 55 years old now!
Davis IS a beast, and Davis and Keuchly was an amazing combo! And Peppers, another freak!!
Love them both.
Dude played in the super bowl after breaking his arm in nfc championship. Davis is just different
thats the thing about football that makes it so unique from every other sport. one of the most physical violent sports but at the end of the day, it’s a chess match. the players that study the most film generally are the best and most instinctive.
You can't help but feel for someone who plays the game like that. Not a panthers fan in the least but I get like we all lost something with how quick he retired
8:48 “you’re pretty cool” “you’re pretty good at what you do”
8:48
So wholesome
he's gonna be a great coach one day
He was smart on the feild and off, by making this choice I may be sad hes gone but I wanna see him become a lb coach or maybe defensive c
What a guy, off and on the field. Definitely what future players should inspire to be.
11:15 thats really tough to watch, but he made the right decision. Good for him, and his family will be grateful. You did an awesome job, brother.
I just realized that every time the panthers played the Seahawks it was a game of the top 2 linebackers in the nfl
Yeah and they always say luke was better yet in all but 1 game the Seahawks won and by the numbers 54 is better in all but interceptions.
Honestly it doesn’t matter to me.
Coverage-> Luke
Run stopping->Bobby; reacts faster and has faster closing speed.
Tackling ability-> Tied.
For me.
1. LT
2. Ray Lewis
T3. Bobby Wagner
T3. Luke Kuechly
5. Derrick Brooks
That’s my 5 guys.
@@anthonydeshields9613 Wagner is almost a liability in pass coverage sometimes. That’s what separates them for me.
6:16 I will always remember this play. I saw it live on TV and always watch Keuchly cause he's always making calls and switching things. On TV, you just see him pointing then he just shoots the gap so well to make the tackle and cause a fumble. I was pretty amazed.
that takle on the ravens was absolutely wicked
I hate he retired so soon but I understood his concerns for his health. He's right there with Sam Mills and Thomas Davis as a Panthers legendary linebacker.
Luke is what you call a smart serial killer on the field. He knew one day it would haunt him so he had to retire . End of story! Greatest LB in the NFL. #59#PantersGreat#Legend
Miss watching him play one of my favorite players of all time.
“That’s when the game really starts to slow down.” This dude is a genius
So much respect for this man. He is truly one of a kind.
Watching him play at least twice a year against my Saints made me respect him. It got to the point where I wouldn't even be mad if he got a big defensive play. Sucks that he retired, but he knows what's best for him. Nothing but respect.
yo me too i love him vs demario
As a die hard Saints fan, But a huge football fan I always respected what he brought to the game. One of the best LBs in this later years of the NFL.
It had to be because of concussions or something. He was so good.
It was
I love this channel
The Ray Lewis of the 2010s a true QB of the defense with the intensity of 20 men...miss watching him play on Sun
