What fascinated me most about Vamp Survivors is that this type of game wasn't new, there were flash games that had these mechanics back in the day and they were never this popular
I think that's one of the aspects that helps it. It reaches back to a time when we played games literally just for fun. Not for chasing any dumb battle passes or meaningless fluff. It's like opening up a a tab secretly in computer class while the teacher isn't looking and firing up Newgrounds.
I believe the dev has actually also ported it to mobile, without any sort of scummy payment stuff or micro transactions. So you always have the option to play it as a quick little thing now whenever you're on the phone. :) Oh, completely free as well, on mobile
I remember seeing this game on the store and thinking "... this looks SUPER boring. Why all the good reviews..?" I've never been more suprised and wrong at how great/addicting it is. Best advice to those on the fence (don't contemplate, just play it) you'll be glad you did. Great video, subbing:) hope to see more content in the future!
Yeah, it really is hard to convey just by looking at it, it's just one of those games where the moment you start playing you just can't unstick from it. Glad to hear, there's more on the way :)
