  • ➺ mora duit! & welcome to episode 2 of my friendship diaries series.
this february i went to visit my friend maggie in ireland. maggie & i met in high school [good times] and have stayed friends despite only seeing each other 1-2 times a year in college and even less so since she moved to a different country. february break [my university gives us a week off] ended up being the perfect time for me to visit her.
we managed to do a lot while we were there-including taking a weekend trip to galway to see the cliffs of moher + spend a night on the aran islands [inis mór to be exact], spending a day in belfast to learn more about “the troubles,” as well as some other random touristy things around dublin [afternoon tea, EPIC museum, the jameson distillery tour, etc.].
it was so nice seeing maggie again and getting a glimpse into her life in dublin. we spent a lot of the trip talking and catching up. as cliché as it sounds, it truly felt as though no time had passed.
side note: this was also my first longer/international trip with my partner & i found myself very shy talking to the camera around people i know [i find it a lot easier to talk to myself/the camera when there’s no one else to witness it] so that’s why a lot of this is voiceover lol.
hope you enjoy! how has did your february go?

    Hi there,
A new subscriber here & I found your wee video really enjoyable. I also loved the music & although it is early am here, I did feel the urge to dance! lol
We just returned home from visiting Ireland & honestly, it's one of my favourite countries hands down!
I so love the Irish people, their welcoming nature & friendliness toward strangers, their honesty, humble approach to life, their humour & their warmth & kindness. Ireland is also a very beautiful country, just about everywhere!
IMPO, I think it's really nice to have friends globally that you can actually go to see in person! This isn't something everyone has in their lives & many certainly don't get the chance to fly abroad to catch up with their friends.
But equally, i'm also reminded here that sadly, some people don't have too many genuine or sincere friends in their respective lives, so when such friends are present, it's indeed a gift & it's always to be cherished & appreciated.
Thanks for creating & sharing your personal experiences.

and yes, i definitely agree. while it can be sad that my friends and i don't all live in one place it has been nice being able to travel and see new places + experience new cultures when seeing them. i'm very grateful that i have such friendships in my life.
& i'm glad you enjoyed the music! 🥳
