Did using the silicon helped with the water leak? Or did you have to buy actual seal? I’m have the same issue right now and wasn’t sure which one I should use silicon or seal.
@@justinanddarleneagualo so I made a comment about that in the description. My uncle who works for Ford said there is no need to add any kind of silicone seal. All you need to do is install the new light and hand tighten the nuts. I did not use silicone and haven't had any leaks in heavy rainstorms or car wsshes.

No problem! Luckily Ford put those two grommets on the end so you have just enough room to pull the liner down to do this job.

Did you have any water inside the trunk by the spare tire?
None that I could find, I've only ever been in there a few times
