The channel you mention is great for anyone who suffers from anxiety and OCD, it's very much in line with what you teach, The Dare response, The Anxious Truth, and Claire Weekes etc. It's nice that all these methods point to the same thing in essence, and that to me is always a sign you are getting close to the truth of the matter. Thanks Dan
Great concept! Investigating in positive thoughts about a good life, good future, good health also follows this principle.. One click on a good thought brings a cascade of other good ones.. That’s where I’m clicking on these days. Have a good week Dan and everyone ❤
@@josiejo117 thanks sweet Josie! I strongly believe in the healing effect of positive connection with other people!Lots of positive vibes to you this week ❤️🙋♀️
This is so relevant and so great to hear. Isn't it wonderful to hear we have power! I remember early in my brain rewiring I heard someone on the DARE live podcast say that rumination, even what appears to be positive rumination, such as answering those negative thoughts with positive ones(ex I am going to die...answered in my head with "actually, I am just fine right now and all is well and I am just fine and this is such and such"...insert any sort of positive rumination... IS actually keeping all that going! It's clicking on it. Another way to say it is, if you're on the ledge by all means reassure yourself and back down, but start practicing getting out of the habit of needing positive self talk about your negative thoughts bc it's the same as clicking on the the thoughts. This was wildly life changing for me. What I thought I was doing good was actually keeping the looping going. This understanding empowered me that I can just move on.
This is exactly the information I have been needing. I find myself thinking about the symptoms all the time. If I'm doing something and haven't been thinking about them, I tend to realize that and then start thinking about them again. It's a horrible cycle.
Love this video. Go lalalalalalalalalla like when you don't want to hear something from someone or start signing to stop the bad thoughts from your brain.
Thank you as ever Dan for suggesting this & for directing our brain toward the thoughts we prefer. For the longest time I stopped listening to the "news" reported on media because they focus on the doom & gloom...and I realised recently that when I engage in those types of thoughts from my brain that I am "effectively" still allowing something I stopped to happen from my own brain!! Many loving blessings to you...and to all in this amazing community. Love you all.Xxx💜
Thank you for the ‘neat concept’, Dan. Really appreciate another daily safety snippet from you. Hats off to your incredible mindset too. I try to get away from the thought clicking habit by, for example, watching the birds in my backyard. The spotted doves have a fledgling that is currently perched on a branch of the fig tree next door. Its parents fly to it and feed it and it makes squeaky chirps.
Interesting concept.... I know when I am looking for information on UA-cam the algorithm provides information overload. While it makes finding topics easier, it is also too much. So, I can really understand if you are thinking too much about your pain it would be the same idea.
I don’t know if this will help anyone else with thoughts. What I do is first say to mysel. Go away. And I change the dialog. The video. Do something engage in something else. If it’s still around I write it down. Just a brief note. I find they cathartic. It works for me. Used to teach it to clients. Just sharing. Worth a try. P
As of lately I started wearing a rubber band on my wrist so every time I started scanning my body or had a “oh no why does this hurt now..” or any sort of unhelpful thought I’d snap the rubber band and it would snap me back to a place where I could go ok let me focus my attention elsewhere. The first week I snapped my wrist so much because it WAS CONSTANT. I didn’t realize how often I was scanning and looking for things or engaging in these thoughts. Now the thoughts are less and the pains have stopped. I’m not “clicking” on those thoughts anymore

I ate a gluten free diet for 10 years and gave that up last year when I found this work. I’m fine now. I eat whatever I want. Many people are missing out on the pleasure of bagels. It’s a sad state of affairs.

MY IMPRESSION IS WHAT WE RESIST PERSISTS. AREN'T WE TOLD TO ALLOW AND ACCEPT ANY THOUGHTS INCLUDING OCD AND ANXIETY? OCD also deals with actions/compulsions. How can we apply these principles to those urges and behaviors?
❤

How long did it take doing the TMS work before the nausea after eating gluten stopped please?
