Actually good to see a Toyota that hasn't had a 50k ute conversion, 20k canopy, 10k battery setup and Bar work everywhere. This 1HZ troopy is more realistic to the average 4wder. Awesome job mate keeping the outback clean.
Why do they need a “decked out” vehicle when they are living the life without one? That’s what’s wrong with people these days. They all think they need the latest and greatest to go camping.
@@rschreck876 This car is VERY decked out and it's clearly needed. He also spends a loooong time keeping it maintained when you could be spending his time doing his job.
This is by far the best modified episode ever! You know why? Because the vehicle is barely modified! Factory Toyota 95% of it.That's why it's reliable. And the simple additions this Aussie legend has added are simple and practical with no focus on bling and show. Everything on that Troopy is there for a purpose. What a beast. Someone with some sense. And not only that.....he and his partner are cleaning up the bush and beach for every other outback traveller to enjoy. It doesn't get any better than that. I take my hat off to you both for your amazing efforts to keep Australia beautiful! Like the old slogan said. And by far the best rig ever on modified. All Toyota the way it should be. Thumbs up Ronny!
This guy is a true Aussie legend. Just want to say big shout out to your partner for doing such an amazing job and keep our beautiful country so clean. We all appreciate it mate! Top effort. 🍻👍🏽🇦🇺
Wow Ronny, this in my opinion is the best Modified episode I've seen on your channel. What pause for the cause. I can't compliment Outback Cleanup and 4wheeling Australia enough for this. Well done.
He's the bloke you want by your side when things turn to shit in the bush. Seems like a crocodile Dundee sort of bloke. Just cool calm, collective and just a straight up blokes bloke. I can see his point loving old technology, because its so simple. Before my 200 I drove a 2002 NA Hilux and 400k just one starter motor. And before that 750k out of my 60 series. They maybe slow and not as comfy as modern 4x4 but they are made for long jeboardy, simplicity and straight up work horses. Great video this one and respect to that great Aussie couple making a difference.
Bloodly awesome Ep I think one of your best I have watched well done, I got a 1990 1HZ n/a 80 series got nearly 800,000ks on her, I love it best 4wd I have owed, Old mate and his misses there doing a great job cleaning up after some bloodly pigs that use the outback,, Well done to them. I go north every year and camp the beaches north of Weipa the amount of rubbish my mates and I pick up is staggering, Great show love your work.
I love the blend of quality parts and clean fit/finish with the DIY touches. The wear and tear from being out there and doing it as well as the overall functionality, bloody brilliant.
Surely he could get a government grant and get those bigger vehicles etc? Maybe even vehicle sponsorship? So many brands would love to have a cleanup as part of their brand!
What legends these people are, thank you so much for all your hard work. Boe loves his troopy and he has done a fantastic job at fitting it out. Most of us have vehicles fitted out like this by ourselves to how we want the vehicle and to the budgets we have. Ronnie, you know hard hitters in this industry could there be a way to get Boe his engine upgrade as this seems to be his dream for Boomy and would help him greatly. We have a wonderful 4x4 community in WA and very skilled specialist 4x4 workforce so nothing is impossible.
This troopy reminds me of my first adventure off road, it was in a 1987 Suzuki Sierra which I learnt to drive in at the age of 11, no bells or whistles just the basics. Boe and Kim show that you don't need the best of everything to get off road but they make the best of what they have. Ronny that was a cracking modified, keep up the great work
What amazing work you guys done, I love how much of this car is diy, Great seeing a realistic setup. This car is in my top three setup of all time on the channel 👌🏼🇦🇺
Thanks Ronny, I just recently bought a 75 series troopy with a 1hdt engine swap. Great video and perfect timing coz I'm looking at the next mods for my troopy (suspension, barwork, interior). She’s running stock boost with a 3” exhaust making about 100kw. Maybe one day she'll make it in a Modified Episode. Cheers
nicely done .. promoting a very good cause & re-inforcing the need to keep the outback tidy without lecturing .. i live in the UK & it's the same battle here ( although having to cart rubbish hundreds of KM's to dispose of it is unimaginable )
Fantastic episode. What a legend. Beau, you’ll need to get the heavier transmission as well if you swap to a 1HDFTE. Well Toyota use a heavier box anyway. And, if you think the troopy is rough don’t get an Isuzu FSS550 . I drove two (one after another) from Brisbane to Weipa last year and they are a lot rougher than my troopy was. A LOT ROUGHER!!!! And the transmission is horrendous with no option of an Allison auto. To get the auto you have to go to the FTS which is heavier but a loooooooot better to drive
IM A 70SERIES TROOPY OWNER. ONE DAY I GOT ASKED TO DRIVE A STAFF MEMBETS IZUZU FROM MINE SITE BACK TO CAMP(25KM) I THOUGHT IT WAS A REALLY HARD ROUGH RIDE( ON BITUMIN) WASNT IMPRESSED. WHEN I MADE COMMENTED TO WORKMATES NEXT DAY ABOUT THE RIDE AND THAT IT RODE ROUGHER THAN THE TROOPY I SURE GOT SOME BAFFLING LOOKS🤣🤣🤣🤣
The troop carrier has to be the toughest 4x4 van out there. It’s such a versatile vehicle like a blank canvas that you can do anything you want with them. It’s like Toyota went: “here you go, wheels, engine and a box on top. Do what you want. You got to pay tho..
Hi Ronny just watching this one and it was said about the toe ball snapping and I hear about it more in the caravan world when they have the high rise one very rare for the normal toe ball. Thankyou reading.
To be honest I was more interested in the trailer as last winter we built ourselves a camping trailer. It managed to survive the big bush fire at Conto late last year and as it was uninsured and only our second trip with it, we were really lucky. I was wondering what the running gear on this trailer was like as ours is just an on road version so I have no idea how well it would do off road. The one featured here obviously goes all over the place so I was hoping to see if there were and mods underneath or whether it was a pretty standard road trailer.
Hi mate i love your work 👍👍👍 can you plz give me advice for 300ml extension or super chassis extension for 79 series is it worth it to do it or no Thanks mate
The problem with all these modified videos is that my to do list just gets longer and longer. And I'm already someone who spend more time fixing my car than driving it. 😅
I did around 340,000 k’s in my HiLux. it basically started to fall apart around 260,000 and was much worse when I sold it at 340,000. A good car but not at these km’s.
My boss had a 1h troopie while I was doing my apprenticeship 14 years ago. The odometer stopped at 480k with an after market turbo on it. It blew out a rust hole on the dump pipe and spun a turbo bearing so we converted it back to n/a 12 years ago. Bloke told me the other day, he's still got it today with the original 1h. I'd remortgage my house to buy it from him haha!
A pair of true heroes, and a hero Troopie. But it is sad indictment that so many so called bush lovers leave so much rubbish behind in the bush, spoiling it for others, shame on them.
I don’t watch this guys video anymore there getting very old and he’s obviously struggling big time for content. However I’ll watch anything with a troopy in.
