That bar on the pedal is so you dont completely stomp the shit out of the pedal and destroy it
The small bar on the pedals just above the footswitch is there to protect the small toggle switch from being broken when you step on the pedal to turn it on/off.
Bro I wish my protones deadhorse deluxe came with that bar because yea, my toggle switch is broke lol
Been playing for over 20 years. This pedal holds up against most distortions I've ever played with. This includes the EVH mxr distortion pedal which is about $300 brand new. This pedal is an absolute beast that punches WAAAAY above its price point in my opinion. 🙏
The bar keeps your foot from changing the settings
This tiny pedal is quite good actually - specially on full mixes. Again, I agree with flau ros, you need a better clean tone, or you won't ever know what this pedal can do (or any other by that matter)
That small builder "boss" naming their pedals "metal zone" and "heavy metal" is quite atrocious as well.
Check out the other reviews. It is not a bad pedal. The problem is your clean sound is shit.
It might not sound bad to you but I think it sounds bad. The clean tone has no effect once the pedal is on. The pedal is sub par at best and not worth 50 dollars.
The pedal sounds like crap in your demo because of the clean sound. It's like painting a shack with $200 a gallon paint and thinking it will look like more than a shack. In reality it is just a painted shack.

Once again your clean sound is garbage. You made the plumes sound like trash. This isn't an opinion. It is a fact.

@@flauros3954 the plumes was demo was on the overdrive channel and didn't sound as good as it could have because I was still working the kinks out of the Fredman Technique. Every video and every comment on what sounds good is an opinion. You think the sound of the Hotone is good, ok I'm sure a few other people think that but there are others who don't think that. Someone in the comments (Just saw he deleted his comment and therefore the thread) said this sounded good, but then retracted that and said it sounds like ass. Take it all with a grain of salt. Thanks for your input. I hope you stick around on my channel.
I love this pedal. Best $30 pedal out there if you want a good aggressive tone. The trick is to run it through your effects loop and not on the front end. It makes a world of difference. Pair this with a good noise gate and it sounds awesome. This and my Metal Zone are my go to pedals when I’m feeling Djenty!

I do disagree with you here and there but I understand this pedal is a hit or miss because of its size and the fact that it's pretty much a pigeon-hole pedal when it comes to usage or possibilities. I own one of those little ones.

This pedal is actually very good and offers many sounds. I have mine with a Fortin 33 in front and it's tighter and harder distortion than I've ever created. I absolutely agree with those saying you NEED a good clean tone and I have a Blackstar studio 20 with a great tube clean sound. I have a few overdrive and distortion pedals on my board, but this with the 33 is an incredible sound.
I'm pretty sure any distortion pedal sounds good with a Fortin 33. The 33 is an expensive EQ boost designed for metal, of course it tightens up any sound. I remember screwing around with the pedal before I picked up the camera, and just being so disappointed that I made the video and returned it. Again I really don't care if you or anyone else likes, you like what you like, but I didn't like it and people don't seem to get that and try to convince me it's the BEST thing they ever used on their board and unless I see a video made by them to back up the claim, I doubt it. Cheap gear can be good, I made videos on a lot of cheap gear, this was not one of the good ones in my opinion.
@@lifeofleo7 Whatever floats your boat. I certainly wasn't trying to get you to like the pedal, I was only stating that it didn't deserve to be torn up in the video as a complete piece of crap. Because it is not. And yes, you did tear the pedal up. Rewatch the video to jog your memory if you disagree. And I have to say that the 33 is an amazing pedal, however it won't turn a turd into a diamond. Trust me, I know. Anyway, like whatever you want and dislike whatever you want. It's only an opinion.

@@lifeofleo7 Also what exactly is a "beginners" pedal? I'm confused at this term. And to lay credence to the other viewers that said the clean channel makes a big difference, it does. I don't know why you would say once the pedal is on, the cleanliness of the channel doesn't matter. That sounds like a "beginner" statement.
This is one of the most uninspired pedals I have ever played. Obviously its target audience is people who listened to one Periphery song and liked the djent memes and have no knowledge of the pedal world. Save your $50 and invest in a more inspired pedal, that is not this one. I have a demo on my channel LeoLicc if you want to hear how it sounds.

You can't just max out all the knobs on a pedal and try its three settings and call it garbage. I've known very few distortions to sound good maxed out on all knobs. Horrible review
All knobs were not maxed out. I dialed in what I thought sounded best and it's not the greatest pedal in my opinion. Thanks for your input
Seriously? You don't know what the bar is for? No offense but IMHO . . . you shouldn't be doing product demos anyway.
If I cared about your opinions, I would have taken the video down. I'm sorry I never used a pedal with a little bar on it, I use better pedals and don't step on my pedals like a maniac. Take a look at all my other demos before you comment and non ironically use IMHO. ✌️
