Wow !!! Simply brilliant. So many locos in a short clip. What a collection too, Gronk, Rat , Warship, Whizzo, and the North British that I cant remember the class 😂😂.. Loved the Shunting. 👍👍😎
The milk tanks would come up to Acton Yard. Then some would go to a dairy at Ilford. The train was worked by Stratford men. Some would be taken across to the Southern by Waterloo men . These tanks would either go Morden or Vauxhall ,or both again the trains worked by Waterloo men. There may well have been other destinations in the London area, but I don't know where they were.....
yes, the milk tankers were gathered from the various Devon dairies/creameries and taken to Exeter St David's , then marshalled into longer trains (often 10 to 20 tanks) and then hauled by a larger loco to the West London bottling plant at Olympia (usually two milk trains a day to London, but all this finished about 1978 when replaced by road lorry milk tankers when BR lost this franchise).
hi enjoyed both parts ,nice to see filming of the class 22 and branch line working the music is down to taste didn`t bother me with the absence of real sound which would be like trying to find hen`s teeth was in keeping with the film, thanks for sharing.
The answer lies in your suggestion on Part1 ua-cam.com/video/bG2eQeBawPg/v-deo.html unless, that is, you have some genuine Class 22 sound you would like to share

Good ENGLAND 👍 🏴
Oh happy days 😁😁
A Warship would come into Totnes every evening at 6.15pm. About 5 tanks would be taken and replaced at Unigate Dairies Totnes

Thanks so much! I’ve been trying for ages to research the dairy operations and this helped ten ton! Again, thanks!
It's a pity that no locomotives of that class were preserved
Brilliant film
Love the music too 👍🏻
Such a shame a D63xx wasnt preserved ( I know they tried but it was cut at Swindon "by accident")
Lovelly vid, thank you
Totally agree

Enjoyed the footage, the music less so. If it's silent let it be golden.
