What a great video along with the History. It's funny how some things on these lines were stopped and now they are all returning with passanger numbers going up. More changes on the way for the London Waterloo to Exeter line as the pressur mounts for more passing loops and now dueling the track. Thanks again.
MrGriser Class 159 were built between 1989-1992 by British Rail Engineering Limited and started services in 1993 for Network Southeast sector of British Rail to replace the class 50 that were running on the West of England Line at the time
Absolutely brilliant. Even the cars have changed. Spotted at least 1 capri on level crossing.
Brilliant! Brought back some very vivid memories for me! Spent many weekends with my Dad at St. Davids in the early to mid 90's!
I saw this on VHS in about 1996 with my friend in Sidmouth when I was 13 years old. Seeing this is brilliant. Thanks for the upload.
Still retained some videos from 1993, amazingly some still play. Loved narrations from Peter Woods, Ken Morgan, Jeremy English, Peter Fairhead etc.

I thought South West 159's didn't run west of Exeter until 1996.

Yes I knew that but I thought they only ran as far as Exeter until 1996.
