As part of our commitment to national development and our principle of providing an economic foundation for democracy, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group held a series of dialogues on the Nigerian economy with presidential candidates that will accentuate discussions on the roadmap towards an inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
Nigeria is at a decisive point in its history, and as we countdown to the 2023 polls, it is critical, like never before, to nudge Nigerians towards making informed voting choices. The challenge before us, therefore, is to ensure the evolution of a process towards a leadership with a broad knowledge of the issues and the political will to steer the ship of our great nation towards shared economic prosperity.
In a bid to live up to our mandate to foster the establishment of an economic foundation for democracy, we sought direct engagements with the presidential candidates on critical economic policy reform issues and prescriptions, in the national interest.
The presidential dialogue series is geared towards sensitizing stakeholders and citizens of Nigeria on peaceful, informed, and accountable democratic participation and provide a unique platform and opportunity for presidential candidates to discuss their economic agenda in an environment of civil discourse.

Tinubu’s fault too is that he could have granted interviews. Obi is obviously the biggest fraud that Nigerians would have regretted ever voting if was mistakenly elected into power. You can listen to him on interviews. The juju man wey do ham for ham try gan o. Nigerians could listen to his ignorance and they still love him for being that way. If I sit to talk about ideas to implement in goverment, I will say a lot too. but if you are wise, you will actually see these things cannot work. There is no big deal in all he said, in fact nothing intelligent or special but because it shocked you does not make it intelligent. What do you know about governance or running a country. let him publish audit report of Lagos state. Someone keeps thugs in a state for 20 years to collect illegal tax, should you not question the character of the person and you see the same person winning every time thugs are still used for election and you are talking about intelligence ? I am shocked. we think things have to be complicated, when all that is needed in goverment is transparency. go and read how singapore transformed their nation and get sense. this thigs are not that hard. if it is about intelligence, since you think you are intelligent, why are you not the owner of tesla motors or Apple ?

He isn't supposed to be a dondy, as a presidential candidate, he should have something to say that make sense.
I personally have never seen him as not being a smart person, no one can survive in Nigeria political terrin and even be a BOSS if he/she isn't supper smart.
But to be sincere, does his illustrations look fissible in the Extended Nigeria Economy where we have a wide disparity between the rich class and the poor class without a middle class?
That's what it means to do better.
Tinibu's responses with all amount of sincerity answers the question of economy to a certain class of people, the rich which is less than 5% of the Nigeria population.
I don't believe in an economy the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. That's where I could see from the interview that Tinibu dosen't understand the plite of the masses, he just sees them as a porn he moves around..

which experience does tinubu have, is it not the same 8 years as governor.... Tinubu is going to create 40k job, obi will create businesses. why should anyone i hire someone to get tax cut. We need the markets. Obasanjo brought in the the telecommunication market. in the UK , the policies intentionally are there to create new markets , hence new businesses. The eastate agents in the UK for example don't do inspection, it is given to another company to inspect items before moving in and after moving in . This creates a new market for businesses to compete. Companies can train people they want to employ themselves, the goverment does not need to do that. The jobs tinubu claim to create is KAI, LASTMA and all which they give to APC members. The major propblem with APC goverment is not that it lack ideas, it is that it works for APC. they lack character and they just want to buy the people. All of you supporting him, i wish he can rule for 4 years and we can all see how he will perform. Nigeria needs a shift and its not just leadership, it is a mindset of the people. we think small and give excuses. That is whysanwoolu could say we should moveon from a massacre instead of resigning out of shame or delivering justice. He tallks about compesation when we should be talking about what is wrong with our system. we built overground of less than 40km in 20 years. UK did underground of more than 80km in less than 10 years. I wish us good luck like i wished us when buhari was eleced, I hope it works for us.

For instance, Tinubu talks about how he'll discuss with the IOC, and shift ground, and provide incentives if needed to encourage investment in the oil and gas sector. He talks about bottlenecks FDI, and how he'll tackle it, giving Jim Ovia as an example.
While Obi talks about borrowing more, Tinubu on the other hand talks about increasing current tax base collection, and providing incentives to the private sector to upscale investment.

I don't really care much for specifics, transparency and accountability from a trusted leader that carries his people along and is not afraid to meet them and listen to them from the lowest to the highest, that is what Nigeria needs now. A lot of our leaders can talk good talk and produce magnificent manifestos but since they are compromised and need to pay back the invested elites they cannot implement any good plans. If the head is not corrupt and accountable, half of Nigeria's problem would be solved. We need a foresight. Not the same story we have been hearing. I like this man as a youth when I first saw his poster. But his words are scary. He's not even fluent with his replies. To answer 5 things he have in plan he can't. Rather he changed it to talking about other country gdp. Must you borrow? Why can't we raise things on our own. We are Nigerians, unique country and blessed more than any country in the world. Our natural resources are still there. Better we split , I trust my Igbo brothers from Lagos.
