    I have always thought that dieting is eating only green vegetables and drinking water. *Agoge Diet* proved me wrong. I am eating delicious and nutritionally rich food and still reaching my fitness goals.

    As I started following diet and training plan from Agoge Diet, I took my confidence to the next level. Girls finally started noticing me.

    Been doing Intermittent Fasting for 3 or 4 years now and feel awesome with 1 meal/day! Also been on and off keto for a little while. What have you tried to improve your brain and body functions?

      Thanks, too much hand drives me nuts. The images I spent extra hours on so I'm glad it seems to have paid off :) Its an intriguing read, especially if you haven't looked too much into dieting and nutrition.

      I'm 13 days in - Having it the first 3 days my body was extremely confused, but now its great and satiates me. There is a little controversy around it - You can use most coffee beans, not just bulletproof. And if you do decide to drink it, it's best if you do the whole diet in conjuction with it, considering its meant to help put you into ketosis. Do some more research on it to see if its right for you :) I recommend authoritynutrition.com > amazing site!

    I’ve been intermittent fasting as well as doing longer fasts for yrs.
    This is a good book and approach
    I do it without the caffeine though
    Caffeine is still a drug in the end and I’ll remain drug free

    The only way low-carb( annals.org/article.aspx?articleid=746013 ) works to your long-term benefit is if it's vegan, as pretty much everything else

    • @OnePercentBetter
      @OnePercentBetter  8 років тому

      Thanks for sharing Michael. For me personally, one study isn't barely enough to convince me that it's the 'only way' - Nonetheless, I'm curious to have a further look into veganism to see what all the hype is about :P

    • @justaboi4791
      @justaboi4791 8 років тому +1

      OnePercentBetter The main point was that low carb is bad for ya'll, but hey, if you want to look into veganism you can read some books on ;)
      And of course Cowspiracy, Earthlings and Forks over knives as the usual cinematographic canon xD

    You know just poking around online a little bit has raised some serious doubts about this diet. CEOs are hardly a source of nutritional advice.

    • @OnePercentBetter
      @OnePercentBetter  8 років тому +1

      Indeed Tristian, there is no question that The Bulletproof Diet and even low-carb diets in general are controversial. I figure the best way to go about it is to trial it myself and tailor it to my own body's needs. There's black and white to every single diet I've heard of :P If you have any sources you can link me to about the doubts, I'd be interested in reading them

    The video is great. Thanks for doing this. But the content of the book is rubbish. There are so many books just like that, where an author does a little bit of reading and research. He or she then believes they know enough and write a book. In reality, however, they do not really have a clue. For example, while fats have a lot of energy it takes a lot of energy for the body to break down fats and convert them into energy. That is why the body breaks down carbohydrides first and then uses some of that energy to break down some fats.

    The Bulletproof diet is Another Low Carb High Fat diet that is popular in Europe and Sweden. The Bulletproof diet is really just another reworking-invention of that diet of Adkins diet with an emphasis on pasture-fed and organic. Any one who sells coffee and supplement they're bias and in it for money not your health . Its just another big sales pitch for a another fad diet of his creation ..another copy cat reinvented
    . .....HIS DIET IS NOTHING MORE THAN ATKINS MINUS DAIRY AND GRASS FED BUTTER ...SO YOU EAT MORE MEAT AND THEN HE SELLS YOU COFFEE B/C COFFEE SUPPRESSES APPETITE AND GIVES YOU ARTIFICIAL ENERGY...WITHOUT THE COFFEE HE SELLS AND MAKES MONEY OFF YOU WOULD FEEL LIKE ASS...Beware people he's a snake oil salesman ...trying to sell you shit you dont need...yak... butter AND WITH COFFEE TO WIRE YOU ..THAT'S NOT HEALTHY .ANOTHER FAT FAD DIET TO SELL BOOKS AND SWINDLE YOUR MONEY .The Bulletproof diet IS A SCAM AND VERY DANGEROUS UNHEALTHY .
    How to avoid "Colon Cancer" Lower your protein intake and avoid processed meats entirely .An estimated 135,000 people are diagnosed with colorectal cancer each year (about 95,500 cases of colon cancer and 39,900 cases of rectal cancer1), and more than 50,000 die from it.Red Meat Linked to Kidney Failure -Red meat increases your risk for kidney failure, according to a study published online in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. Researchers assessed data from 63,257 participants as part of the Singapore Chinese Health Study and tracked diet and kidney failure.Those who consumed the most protein from red meat increased their risk for end-stage kidney disease.

      @mikael Totally agree, just another form of Adkins which showed to be lethal even to its inventor! Even the part about IF is wrong. The way of doing IF is to not consume any calories during IF. If you drink you Bullet proof cookie you will break that fast through the calories you take in. They are mixing up Ketosis and IF. Which is not them some thing. @channel Anyway great channel work, sadly with some totally wrong input.
